Happy Monday you guys,

(post contain affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

the new week is here and with the ongoing lockdown it will look like the weeks before. Staying home, killing time and hoping it will be normal again very soon.

Starting slow today with this casual look. If you are a long time reader you know I won´t trade leopard print for any other print in the world. That is doesn´t always have to be brown shows this adorable and comfortable cardigan. Olive green has been one of my favorite colors for a long time now and it pairs so well with a bunch of different colors. I personally like red and pink too as well as cognac brown.

I styled this outfit very casual cause it was a Sunday and I was very lazy to be honest. So denim and turtleneck shirt it was plus the leopard print cardigan and the hat to add some print and edge. And how cute is the little crossbody bag. It is from Katie Loxton, one of my favorite handbag brand for cute and affordable handbags.

Going to shoot another great date night idea this week plus my thoughts on a bunch of red wines we tried the last few months so stay stuned if you are interested. Also Valentine´s Day content will be coming to the blog very soon.

My birthday this year and everything that has changed….

Hi you guys,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

my birthday was on Friday – I turned 31 this year and it still feels strange to have a three in my age. I wanted to share a little update over here what has been going on the last couple of months.

Looking back my last birthday seems like a lifetime ago although it only has been one year. ONE YEAR – were major things changed!!

I did those fun facts about me no one would suggest for a few years now but it somehow feels a little strange to me this year.

Looking back on my last year

The best thing that happened all year was giving birth to our little girl. She is the center of our lives and also the sunshine. She was born in march in the heights of the Covid 19 outbreak. Hospital restrictions hit us hard but in the end I was so happy my husband could be with me in labor and delivery the whole time.

2020 was a tough year but not only in terms of the pandemic. We had so many plans and hopes for this year and most of them were crushed with no further ado. This was very hard to take and the constant social distancing and staying at home took a toll at everyones mental health.

Sacrifice was a big word for the year of 2020. I didn´t get a baby shower or a maternity photo shoot and our planned photographer to shoot newborn pictures at the hospital had also been canceled. I was very sad about all that but also over the moon excited for our new baby.

And I know very well that me complaining over these kind of things is rather insignificant cause people do have relatives who died of the virus and doctors and nurses are working non-stop plus all the small businesses that are closed now and probably won´t re-open ever again but it was planned and I was looking forward to it and it was taken away from us. It is just hard to adjust to everything at once and not thinking about if life will ever be the same.

On my last birthday I was still pregnant, we went out shopping and headed out for dinner with our family. We are miles away from getting back normality and it is very scary to not knowing what happens next.

So this became much longer than I anticipated. At least I was able to bring some of my recent thoughts to „paper“. I think many people are feeling the same but are anxious to admit it because they don´t want to be judged for being selfish.

Anyways cheers to 31!!

See you tomorrow.

Happy Thursday to all of my ladies,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

the weekend is near and for me it is my birthday weekend. I am going to be 31 tomorrow. A birthday in times of a pandemic feels so strange and insignificant plus since we are in our second hard lockdown there is nothing to do and no place to go and no one to invite but I am going to get dolled up and also get sushi take-out. That is my wish for my birthday and we have to celebrate the little things otherwise there is no healthy mental way out of this situation.

Anyways (I am going to share more about my birthday and everything that has happenend in a year on the weekend) let´s talk about this look. An all black look is really uncommon for myself but I wanted to try it since it can look dead ass serious and oh so chic. To be honest it looked great but a little plain to me, just need my splash of color somewhere, so I decided to ad some blush. I got this cute plaid scarf back in November when the shops were still open and never wore it so this was the perfect ocassion. A matching pearly headband and a cute little shoulder bag completed the look.

I liked the all black style a lot more than I thought. Going to style another one very soon since it somehow is Winter´s must worn color and speaking of Winter – have you seen the gorgeous frosted trees in the background of the pictures. Frozen leaves and blades of gras always look so mystical to me.

Not going to post tomorrow but make sure to check my Instagram since I am definitely going to post a few pictures. See ya soon.

Good evening ladies,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

welcome to my new series – how to „at home date nights“. I have called this series to life because we are in another lookdown and also we weren´t able to go to a restaurant since November. It just sucks that you have no where to go and a lot of people I know are getting really sad.

I am one of them, missing the easiest things of life. Going out for dinner, or to a movie or to play billiard or meet with friends. None of it is possible and I think it won´t be possible for a great amount of time.

Anyways, today is episode one and I am sharing a very easy but oh so great thing to do together. Cooking together. I mean everyone must eat so why not share the task. We love to cook together. It is our time to talk and recap our day and / or plan things together.

So why not make pizza. Everybody loves pizza and making it from scratch was a lot easier than I though. I have a love / hate relationship with yeast so take this from me – it was super easy t make the dough.

For the recipe you need one block of yeast (if you only have dry yeast use two packages), a pinch of salt and sugar, 2 tablespoons of olive oil and 500 gr. of flour.

Crumble the yeast into 250 ml of warm water, add the pinch of salt and sugar, stir it up and let it sit for about 15 minutes.

Put the flour and olive oil into a bowl, add the water – yeast mixture into it and kneed the dough until it is smooth. For about 5 to 10 minutes. Now put it back into the bowl and let it rise at a warm place for about an hour.

The dough is enough for two pizzas. Now you have time to chat and choose / prepare the ingredients you want to have on your pizza.

Put them in the oven for about15 minutes at 190 degrees. Pour yourself and your spouse a glass of wine while waiting.

It is a great way to spend time together and dressing up for your significant other wouldn´t hurt either. It is all about making an effort after spending your weeks in sweats.
