I love reading or watching What´s in my bag? articles. I don´t know why. Maybe I am just curious what other people carry in their handbags and if it´s as much stuff as I do. So before I start I have to admit I first cleaned out my handbag of the hundreds of tissues, receipts and what not that should have landed in the trash can in the first place.
So since my bag contents are slightly different during work days I am sharing my weekend edition another time. I have quite the collection on work totes to make sure I always have enough space to store all the things I need (or think I might). The bag from today´s post is from Lauren by Ralph Lauren and I got it for my birthday in January and loved it ever since. It has the perfect size and shape for a work tote. You can carry it by hand or use the shoulder strap. A laptop would also fit in there or a tablet as well or maybe a Kindle reader. There are so many different colors available and overall it is a great piece to start your work wear bag collection with as it is made of great quality and soft leather but therefore selled at an excellent price compared to any other designer handbags. Another feature I personally adore in a bag is if it can stand without loosing its shape even when it´s empty. This prevents searching things and chaos cause they won´t fly around in a loose crumpled-up handbag.
So that is all I carry around with my the whole work week – starting with the big “essentials”:
Erin Condren Life Planner // contains all of my appointments and lists
notebook // to make notes of ideas I get during the day or things that come to my mind I need to do
pens // self explanatory
water bottle // I fill this up many times throughout the day
wallet // self explanatory
car keys // ”
sunglasses and case // I always have a pair of sunnies with me wether it is winter or summer
bluelight glasses // need these for work or my eyes with get super dry and itchy with all the screen time
the lipstick I am wearing that day and probably ten others deep down
protein bar (or any other snack)
And here is what I carry in the above mentioned makeup pouch:
medicine (for headache, pain, diarreha, etc.)
I know this looks a lot and I have to admit I didn´t even think that I´d carry that much stuff with me but obviously it has to be cause there isn´t one item I haven´t used at all. Do you have any essentials you can´t leave the house without (I mean not the obvious ones like keys)??
As always thanks for stopping by and if you haven´t gotten enough from strawberries already check back tomorrow for a cool strawberry recipe.

isn´t a animal print pleated midi skirt the most marvellous thing you have ever spotted around here? I definitely think it ranks in the top ten of awesome pieces to wear. I got this cutie in the mail laast week (it was a steal – under 20 Euro from New Look) and wanted to wear it on a date night but ended up wearing it to a dinner date with another couple. The skirt is super comfortable and the animal patterns are just gorgeous combining so many different and trendy prints in one piece. Since the pleats are a little smaller and sturdier the skirt keeps its straight shape and looks super chic. I would be perfect to wear to the office to with a pair of sling back heels and a blouse or shirt and blazer combo. The only downside is that it feels a little thin but because of the dark prints it isn´t seethrough at all.
I have gone with all black and white accessories here but pairing animal print with other bold colors would be a great choice. Color like red and orange or even a bright yellow pair very well with the different brown hues. So if you want to stay on the save side go use the warmer tones and if you really want to go all in maybe a stunning bold green shade?!
The bag I am carrying is from Katie Loxton. I have discovered this UK handbag and accessories brand in Feburary and got the bamboo handle bag (style called Avery Bamboo bag) first from their collection. We went back to the shop last week to see what´s new and I found the Suki Tote bag in white. I have been searching for the perfect white bag for a long time now and this is it. Also the golden ring handles are to cute and trendy and the bags are super affordable. I even picked up a little something for my SIL´s birthday next week.
How do you feel about animal print in general? Do you like it mixed or do you prefer one special print?

first post of the week today. I skipped yesterday cause as it was a holiday we had been out and about the whole day. We visited the botanical garden in Augsburg (sharing more about it later this week) and had coffee after. I have been feeling a lot under the weather lately. Too much humidity and rain. I hope we are going back to just hot days as I can handle these a lot better.
So let´s skip to the look. Off-the-shoulder looks are still a pretty hot Summer trend. I personally love the off-shoulder trend the moment it came out again a few year ago and have not stopped wearing it since. Wether it is a dress or a shirt or a blouse or a pullover I go for it and you should too. It is super flattering and immediately adds a summery touch to your look. Put your head up into a bun and you suddenly have that Spanish flair of a salsa dancer. Perfect to go out with too.
I paired my colorful flower print off-shoulder shirt with a pair of white boyfriend jeans and a white straw tote. Since it was an all white look I set some focus with different pops of red like the shoes, the earrings and the sunglasses (a great dupe for a high fashion designer-got them from amazon for under 5 Euro). You also could have picked up the blue or the green of the shirt and pieces in this color.
Do you still love the off-shoulder trend or have you moved on? Thanks for stopping by. Take care. See you.
