Good morning y´all,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

I decided to shoot the nursery before baby girl get´s here simply because I am sure I will have plenty of pictures with her later on and it is just easier to take photos without a newborn (at least that is what I think).

The theme of the nursery is jungle book or lots of animals. It came together easily as the room was already nicely painted when we moved in so we decided to leave it that way and figure out what to do with the room as we needed it (side note – we both absolutely loathe painting so this was a nice surprise).

First thing I ever got for this room were the banana leaf curtains from H&M and then I went from there with all white furniture, a golden carpet matching the tipi and the floor and lots of stuffed animals you can also find in the prints on the wall.

One of the highlights definitely is the customized name plate above her bed. I have found it at an Etsy shop and it came very quick made of great quality. Going to link the shop here

Since I started working on the room before we even knew what gender our baby had this makes the perfect gender neutral nursery.

Do you prefer more or less color for home decor in general ? Would you go with a green wall?

Aren´t stripes a total classic? I mean they don´t really count as a print anymore. They gained total neutral status while looking fresh and french for the last decades. Blue and white stripes especially spread the maritime flair and should not be missed in Spring and Summer.

I have been loving stripes for a very long time although we had a love/hate relationship at the very beginning as I was searching for the perfect stripe in terms of thickness and collected a ton of striped shirts but to be honest I really don´t mind having quite the selection.

For this look I kept it pretty simple. The denim jacket freshens up the striped dress and the crisp white pair of Converse sneakers add such a casual vibe. To make the look pop I went with a green handbag that complements the green collar of the dress.

It is a maternity dress I got from Asos but to be honest this look can be copied with every striped dress no matter the color combo.

Do you like stripes as much as I do or are you more on the plain color side?

Happy Friday you guys,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

don´t we all have these special prodcuts we love, use over and over again and also have as a back-up in case they brake or are empty. I am talking about our holy grail make-up products. I have a bunch I used for years and hardly ever swap because once I have found a tried and true favorite which isn´t easy and takes a long time I stick to it.

My Holy Grail Make-Up Products

Benefit Hoola Bronzer // This has been my go-to bronzer for what feels like forever. I first started with the mini version and it lasted me for about three years which has been a few months ago so I got the normal sized version. It is a little pricey but it really lasts a long long time so this totally justifies the price point. You can also use it as an eyeshadow base.

Benefit Porefessional Primer // I have tested a bunch of different primer throughout the years and no one ever created such a smooth and even surface to put my make-up on. A little goes a long way for this product. I really liked it and already purchases it again. The only downside is when you are using to much of the product it shows off very quickly because it starts to crumble.

essence Lash Princess Mascara // The cheapest mascara I have ever tried/used but it is perfect. The black is very deep, the price is under 3 Euro which is unbelievable and the brush is perfect to apply your mascara whithout spreading or smudging the color for both the upper and lower lash line.

MAC Prep + Prime Lip Primer // Also got this one for my wedding as it had great reviews and ended up using it for years now. It is the best base if you are battling dry lips and want to wear dark or matte lipsticks. It evens out your lips and also hydrates them plus works at a great base to make it last longer.

essence matt blotting paper // A few years back I was on the search for blotting papers that worked and didn´t break the bank cause I honestly don´t want to pay 15 Euro for 20 little pieces of paper like some brands offer cause I sweat a lot in the summer and I need about 5 of them a day so I tried the essence matt blotting papers and they work great for me. I have purchased them over and over again and in summer time I probably have one in every bag I use.

Smashbox Spotlight Highlighter Palette // Got this for my wedding a few years back and I ended up loving it and using it on a daily base. The different highlighter shades are all gorgeous and can be build up so well or just a little. Depends on how much you like to wear.

essence blush in color autumn peach // The best peachy blush I have ever found and it is so cheap. It is super hard to find a nice orange shade for the cheeks. I have been looking for years and never found one that is more perfect. It matches great with peachy lip colors and overall is a great shade to wear in the Fall.

MAC Fling brow pen // I have tried a ton of different brow pencils made of wet consitency and pens and gel but I ended up coming back to this one every single time cause it matches my brow color the best and it also lasts for the longest time, on my brow as well as the pencil itself.

MAC Matte Lipstick in color Persistence // My most used nude lipstick. The color looks great for every season and I love that the coverage is super high.

MAC Liner in color Spice // Matching lip liner to the MAC lipstick above. Came in a set as I purchased it but you can also get the items single.

Real Techniques make-up sponge // A great alternative to the Real Beauty Blender as it is super soft and blends in all the make-up and concealer very well. You get two for the price of 10 Euro and I think that is perfectly fine. They also clean up real nice with brush soap. And a huge plus is if you like limited edition look at their site for the big holidays of the year cause they always come up with new patterns and colors.

Sephora Collection powder foundation in color Petal // I tried this by accident cause I ended up forgetting a ton of stuff as we went on our honeymoon so I had to go to Sephora and purchase some things and I ended up trying this powder I now love. It is super covering and works great to seal of your make-up and keep it matte all  day. But it also looks great to wear by itself if you are going for a more natural look but don´t want  to be make-up less. I have been getting the color Petal for my skintone and always have about two of the powder foundations at home as back up cause you never know.

L´Oréal Paris Color Riche Lipstick in color Paris Cherry // My most used red lipstick. I absolutely love a darker shade of red. It is my go-to for fall and winter and fits a ton of my outfits too. The Color Riche lipsticks have an awesome texturen and smell and wear really well for the price of 10 Euros. I do have a ton of them but the Paris Cherry is my alltime favorite.

Sharing my opinion on make-up is always a lot of work and takes a lot of time to write it all down but I love make-up and love reading other make-up posts and I think it is so worth it comparing items before you finally pull the trigger as it can become very expensive to get all the products for a full face cover and would want to have the possible best working ones.

Thanks for stopping by. See you tomorrow.

Hi you guys,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

from the beginning on of my pregnancy I have been ordering a couple of belly oils and creams to prevent stretch marks. I used them every night from the moment I was showing until the very last day and I found some favorites and some I really didn´t like at all.

I haven´t gotten a single stretch mark on my tummy so whether it is genetic (this always helps a lot in all stages of life) or supporting your ever stretching skin with the hydration it needs helps your skin to grow to its limit without tearing.

Body Oils in Review

BiOil

BiOil had been the first brand I tried in terms of preventing stretch marks.

Burt´s Bees Mama Bee Body Oil

This has been by far my favorite. The scent is amazing – the lemony smells makes it super fresh. The bottle lasts about two months and made my skin super soft. After I found this one and it was empty I ordered another bottle cause I loved it so much.

Burt´s Bees Mama Bee Body Butter

As much as I liked the Body Oils from their brand the Body Butter really smelled awful. It also had a super weird consistence. It was super thick and so not great to spread evenly over the bump. I am also not sure if it wasn´t expired already cause off all of this. Would not recommend it at all. I practically tossed it brand new.

Burt´s Bees Baby Bee Oil

I ordered this by mistake as I wanted a back-up of the Mama Bee Body Oil and ended up using it on my belly. It has a dry oil formula which is wonderful as it gets soaked it almost immediately and you can get dressed right after without having stains anywhere. Going to definitely get another one for my baby girl as this is liquid gold for dry spots.

Rituals Stretchmark Tummy Cream

This was actually a gift of a very sweet friend. I have been using Ritual products in my daily routine for years but never noticed that they also offer mum and baby products. The body butter is more on the light side which I don´t mind at all cause it is great to use in the mornigns or during the day when the bump gets itchy and believe me it will at some point.

If you are searching for a good value I would recommend the Burt´s Bees Baby Oil. You can use it for yourself and the baby and it also lasts a long time. Also if you don´t like any scented body procuts this is the one to go.
