I am sharing the perfect casual black and super affordable summer dress over on the blog today.


The length is great and I love the asymetrical hem. So cool and really something special you won´t find on other dresses easily. The material is super soft and breathable. It is the same dress I have worn here.


First I thought of styling it with a bright color but I kept it pretty laid back with the blush pink shade so the focus on the dress´s details won´t be lost.


I am really not a fan of wearing black in the summer but it works. I depends on how you like to style it and what you prefer to combine. In the end it is still all about the accessories.

Casual Saturday #30…

Hi guys and happy Saturday, 

I am really sorry I skipped last weeks Casual Saturday post. I totally forgot about it since so much was going on and I had tons of stuff to do.
But we are back on track this week. To give you a little peek of my long list of things to do: 

I finished the seating chart for our wedding and also ordered the name cards. I am on finishing our song list and also searching for inpsiration for our flower decor. 
I am planning a summer BBQ with all our friends so I am working on a menu and table decor. Also our patio and garden area has to be planted and shoot.
 And the list goes on and on. Finishing some home decor projects and also getting some presents for Mothers´s Day. 


I ordered a few things for our upcoming trip to Lake Garda in Italy but I am going to show them next week after trying it on but I can say one thing. Major Asos order!!!


Be sure to check back on the last two posts if you need anything for Mother´s Day.


We also where on a long forgotten date night on Tuesday and ate some delicious pizza. The restaurant is called Da Tino in Regensburg. Be sure to eat there if you are in the area.

Food Friday – Mother´s Day cake full of flowers….

I wanted to share another recipe on the blog with you today. Since Mother´s Day is on Sunday and you don´t have enough time left to get a gift why not make a beautiful and tasty cake by yourself ?!
It is too hard and won´t taste good you think ? Don´t be too hard on yourself. With a little patience and dedication it will work.

These are two super quick and easy recipes for the dough and the frosting I am posting today. 


Ingredients for the dough:
– 5 eggs
– 100 gr. sugar
– 250 gr. butter
– 100 gr. confectioners sugar sifted
– pinch of salt
– lemon zest 
– 100 gr. flour
– 100 gr. corn starch
– 1 tblsp. baking soda

Ingredients frosting:

– 250 grams white chocolate melted and cooled 
– 2 tablespoons lemon juice 
– 320 grams butter soft
– 2 cups of confectioners sugar sifted 
– 450 grams cream cheese in room temperature

Decor:
– marzipan roses
– sugar flowers 

Direction for the batter:
– mix the sugar, eggs, butter, confectioners sugar and lemon zest until creamy 
– add the flour, baking soda, corn starch and salt
– let it mix the batter for about 3 minutes

– take two small baking pans and spread the butter evenly
– bake for 45 minutes on 165° degrees

Directions for the frosting:
– melt the chocolate until creamy
– put the butter out of the fridge so it gets soft
– when chocolate isn´t hot anymore but still creamy and butter is soft put all the ingredients for the frosting together and mix for about 3 minutes
– put the frosting into the freezer for about 5 minutes
– add frosting onto your cake, layer by layer 

and garnish how you like.

Mother´s Day gift ideas – beauty sets….

whether you are celebrating Mother´s Day on the 13th of May (here in Germany and the US) or you already celebrated in th UK on the 31st of March there is one significant fact – we are all searching for a nice and thoughtful gift to give to our mothers on their special day. 

I have to admit we had a rough start this year cause we had so different opinions in table decor and how my wedding dress should look like that it was hard to talk about anything else without having the debates we had earlier on my mind but I think we are in a good state now.

We didn´t share much of opinion on most of the things but we always loved beauty products so this is something we are still into. 
That is why I am still gifting little beauty gift sets to special ocassions to my mom. I know that I can´t go wrong with these.
 I have gotten the British Rose set from the Body Shop and she loved it a lot. I stocked up on handlotion and also ordered one for her.

I also got three other scent gift sets from Yves Rocher.


The Comme une Evidence set. The fragrance is very flowery and a little sweet but so so good. The set contains a full size perfume, a deodorant and a shower gel. It doesn´t have to be an expensive brand all the time to smell good and be something special.


Another set I ordered is the Au Martin au Jardin Rose Fraiche set and this is the best I have gotten in a long time. I honestly thought it would be a normal rose scent but guys its peonies!!!! I just could sit in it. Smells awesome. Gonna give this to my mom and also ordered the Eau de Toilette for myself.


The third set I got from Yves Rocher is the So Elixier Bois Sensuel set and I really like it but it is a little heavy for me. A orentiel smell with patchouli, orange and zedar wood. I like it but I could not smell it the whole day without getting a headache. We are probably going to give this to Florian´s mom since she is really into these adorable scents.


All of the sets are available online as in stores. You can easily get them in time for Mother´s day.
