BALMAIN X L´ORÉAL PARIS – limited edition…..

#balmainxloreal
…..

Hi guys,

you can´t even imagine how long I have been waiting for this lipstick collection (in fact it was the same time like everyone else – but it felt like forever) to release. The dates changed from the middle of September to the middle of October almost everyday and I wasn´t sure if I could get them online or only in stores. As it turned out I could preorder the colors I loved on Flaconi – one of my favorite online stores for beauty products.

I ordered 4 different colors. Two from the Couture-Collection, Domination – a deep red shade and Liberation – a bold purple shade which isn´t as dark as I first thought. I was afraid that it would be too dark for me as I thought it has a blackish undertone. And two from the Glamazone-Collection – Fever
, a bright orange shade with shimmering gold particles and a matte finish (so beautiful and perfect for fall) and Glamazone, a lighter taupe hue which I recently love.

They are like the typical color riche lipsticks in their texture and they have the signature smell which all of their lipsticks have (I personally love it but that is just personal). I think they are worth it and the colors are so pretty.

The packaging is beyond beautfiul. I think I have never had a lipstick which was this beautiful on the outside (the black ones are shiny with the gold details and the green ones – and as far as I have seen – have a marble pattern. The lipsticks cost about 12 € and I think that is pretty affordable cause in the end it still is a collaboration with a high class designer.

I was almost stalking the mail guy yesterday as I got an e-mail that they where finally shipped. Really cool I was thinking about getting the olive shade too but it already sold out. Maybe I can get in stores somewhere else.

I hope you could get the shades you wanted and you do love them as much as I do.

Thanks for stopping by.

Take care. See you.

My top 9 boots for this fall and winter….

…..

Hi guys,

I have rounded-up my favorite boots and booties I have found for fall and some for winter so far. So some of you might still mourn about the end of summer (I do too in some moments) but there is so much we can look forward now. Plaid shirts, comfy scarfs, suede boots, Thanksgiving, Starbucks fall edition coffee´s, leaves changing colors, pumpkin in everything.

So since I am not a real black fan, although I am wearing it a lot in the winter, there are lot´s of brown alternatives for you.

Suede has always been a favorite of mine. I like the feel of the material and also how it looks so I am always taking the suede version it there is one available.
I never owned a pair but finally got one for this year. And I must say I am an idiot. First of all I have to admit I was sceptical on paying 130 Euro for a pair of rubber boots but you can´t compare to usual ones. The material is super soft and the sole as well. This boot is so comfortable, you have to try it on otherwise you will not believe it at all. I got mine in navy blue.
This is a staple shoe to me as I love wearing dresses and skirts in winter too and I just don´t want to wear my beautiful high heels so I always get an alternative which could be worn on the cold snow days and your feet won´t get wet immidiately.
I always opt for Buffalo booties when I am on the hunt for a classic black one with a pointed toe. They fit true to size and don´t cost a fortune.

 Overknees
This style of boots might not be a trend article anymore. It has become a real wardrobe staple is is about to stay. There are several types from a cozy velvet material to a soft suede one. And inbetween velvet and leather. So the possibilietes are endless. Styling overknees can be a little tricky cause you don´t wont to go to sexy. But by adding a pair of pants to an off the shouder pullover or black tights and a chunky turtleneck to a short skirt you are good to go. It is all about balance here and I don´t mean the heel.

Ugg boots
Uggs are a real fall/winter staple for my wardrobe. I love visiting Christmas markets but by standing around and enjoying some punch my usually my hands get warm and my feet are colder by every minute. I have tried so many different kinds of boots and the only ones I won´t get cold feet are Uggs. I think it might be the lamb wool lining which keeps my feet warm. In fact I don´t care what it is as long as my feet stay warm.

Velvet booties
Since I only had one velvet piece last year (a gorgeous black blazer jacket with golden studs) I got a pair of gray velvet booties as soon I have found a pair I liked. They are so soft and the velvet is structured with a pretty pattern outside. They really are perfect and I can´t wait to wear them (my broken toe first has to get better). They are true to size and only cost 50 Euro. Since this is a real trend item I did not want to spend so much money on a pair.

Sorel winter boots
Can´t say much about them cause I never owned a pair but I really like the way they look. I have heard many great things about them. They keep your feet warm no matter how cold it is or gets and they are waterproof. I think I might get a pair this year. I do think they look really fashionable (a great plus for such functionable boots) in the color pairings they offer. Probably a good pair of boots for going on walks in the winter but they are really pricey and I first have to think about if I am out this much.

Classic feminine boot
A classic feminine black boot with a pointed toe and a stiletto heels is a staple piece like a pair of pointed toe heels. It is a must have for winter. You need an elegant pair of boots for events in case it is too cold for heels.

 Biker boots
Maybe not a style for everyone (I also had to get used to them) but they add such edgy vibe to a winter outfit. You can keep it pretty casual by wearing them with a chunky knit sweater and a pair of jeans or you can dress down an elegant outfit with them like a black skirt and a white button down. For some more sexiness add a pair of lace tights or fishnet tights to the look. Also a good alternative in case it is snowing all the time or it is totally icey outside.

Hazelnut colored suede boots
These are my number one trend pair for upcoming seasons. Every year I see them on so many fashion blogger and at the time I also want to have a pair the best are already gone. So for this year I might have a good pair soon. Ordered the ones in the collage but obviously they don´t fit a dancing girl. My calves are too thick for them. In fact they would work for only wearing skirt but I want to pair them with leggins and jeans too so I am searching for another pair. Already ordered some. Although they don´t fit me they are true to size, a super soft material and just so beautiful. Get your hands on them as long as they are available.

What are your go to pairs for fall and winter ?

Back to basics – button up / cardigan / jeans….

Hi guys,
and happy Monday and more important happy October. Fall is its fullest and I couldn´t be more happy about it. There is somethig mysterious and great in the fog in the mornings. You think that too do you?
I am here today with a pretty casual outift in basic colors. Black, taupe and blue. Sometimes I just crave the basics. An easy outfit with which you look put together but not to fancy at all. With all the trendy and unique pieces out there sometimes it is enough to just put on a button up, a pair of denim and a soft cardigan. I for example put on a popping lipstick and I feel good enough to go. Or you can add a waist belt like I did with these beautiful heart shaped laser cut outs to get a fancy twist.

Hope you had a great weekend. We went to a pumpkin patch on Saturday and it was so pretty there. I love pumpkins and everything fall related so this was a perfect day for me. We got some white pumpkins and a big green one which looks like a round zucchini. There will be a decoration post about my front porch very soon so stay tuned.

Thanks for stopping by.

My monthly beauty favorites and must-haves for September….

….

Hi guys,

happy Saturday and welcome to another monthly favorites. I haven´t done one in quite a while cause I did not have so many new products and the ones I got new I had to try out first cause otherwise I would not know what to write about to you if I did not test them first.

L´oréal Paris nailpolish in 668 bleu royale and 334 violet de nuit
The nailpolishes from L´oréal are my favorite ones ever. The quality is great. The colors are really pigmented even the very light ones and for the price of 8 Euros for one you can´t complain about a single thing. Also the packaging is pretty. The structured glass bottle with a golden cap.

Dr. Hauschka melissa balm for the day / melissa face oil for the day
I ordered a set of their clarifying prodcuts to test them out and the only thing I have used so far is the melissa balm and the melissa oil for the day. And it is great I think I like the oil even more cause it leaves a smoother and drier feeling on my skin than the balm . Just can recommend these. They are on the pricier side but they really help me since I am longtime fighter against my bad skin. I have a full post for these products when I am done testing.

NYX butter glosses in Éclair / Crème Brulée / Maple Blondie
I found these on Katey McFarlan´s Instagram story and she was recommending theme so badly that I had to have them and they are only 6 Euros so I gave them a try. I am always a little cautious with lip gloss cause I don´t like the sticky feel of the most of them. The quality is really good. The leave a soft feeling on your lips and don´t stick at all. I might get them in some darker shades as well as the light ones are not as pigmented as I thought although they are a hit.

L´oréal Paris Color Riche matte lipsticks in 103 Blush in a Rush and 349 Paris Cherry
There is not much to say about them. I love them, especially the matte ones. The colors are all so beautiful and I love to get my hands on new ones. I got a darker red for fall season and the blush shade for all the time. I hope I can get my hands on one or two of the Balmain x L ´oréal collection which is going to be released at the end of  September.

Living Proof no frizz weightless styling spray
Buying another product of their brand wasn´t intended cause I had the hairspray from the no frizz line of Living Proof and my mom did not like it all and also said it wasn´t working. She has really frizzy hair. I think she might have invented it. But I have read a great post about it on Gal meets Glam in the summer and I didn´t want to let go of the idea that this brand wasn´t working. So I gave it another shot and I am so glad I did cause it is the perfect product for me – almost couldn´t believe it. I am using this spray for second day hair after I curled them. Mostly they are standing in every direction and they tend to be pretty dry and tousled the next morning. That is the hard core case to solve for the product and it worked so well. I sprayed it on and let is set for a few minutes and my hair got shiny and soft. It was easy to comb and I could get some pretty waves from the leftover curls (otherwise I would have to make a bun out of it cause that is all that works in this case). It is a little pricey – costs about 30 Euro – but I would buy this over and over again. Incredible good.

EOS Vanilla Orchid extra hydrating hand lotion
I have found this by coincidence. I just needed a new handlotion for my handbag. I do like the EOS handbalms cause they look cute and their fragrances smell so good but they aren´t as hydrating as I would wish for. But the packaging said that it was for extra dry hands. I haven´t found it on the Internet so far so maybe you have to look at the drug store if you want it. Did not use it but the smell is really good. Somehow it already reminds me of Christmas.

Smashbox Highlighter palette
This wasn´t a planed product, in fact I was never interested in this highlighter palette. I wanted the highlighter palette from Tarte Cosmetics but they sold out and never restocked them so I searched for an alternative and I found this one. Now that I tried it out I like it a lot. I got it in the shade combination pearl and it is such a good product. The colors are so pigmented. This might last for a few years. They also have a more golden color combination too. The palette is a collaboration with a youtube beauty star and Smashbox. It costs about 37 Euro and I think it is worth every penny.

Vichy Liftactiv Yeux
I wanted to try this eye cream from Vichy for so long. Since I had read about it on Mara´s blog M loves M some months ago. But I still had an open eye cream and I wanted to use this one up first. But let´s move on to today. I ordered it from amazon (that was the only possible way to get it without heading into the mall – this brand is only sold by pharmacies in Germany).
L´oréal Paris dry shampoo
First of all I didn´t even know that L´oréal also sells dry shampoo´s. I first read about it in an beauty secrets article and I wanted to try it cause I am always on the hunt for a better dry shampoo. I love it. The product smells so incredible good and I think it doesn´t put to much white dust onto your hair.  I got some more from amazon but they are also available on Douglas.
