Our Thanksgiving table scape and meal suggestions I have tried so far….

….

Happy Monday everyone,
(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links/Markennennung-not sponsored)
given the short amount of time until Thanksgiving I have skipped my posting routine to share my adorable table scape for this years Thanksgiving dinner as early as possible with you. Maybe I can give you some last minute inspiration or meal suggestions (I add a list of what I have tried so far).

I decided to go with all the fall colors this year, my main color is a shade of burnt orange I have always loved. All the colors of the table decor will be found in the table runner. They are from Appelt and if you ask me I would say that they have the best variety on table runners, also the quality is unbeatable.

We have invited only family so there will be Florian´s and my parents and his sister with boyfriend and his brother. I was thinking about the meal a lot but in the end I went with the classics. I have a huge Pinterest board for recipe inspiration where I get some of my ideas and am able to search anything food related.

So for our Thanksgiving dinner I decided to cook with stuffing filled turkey breasts before stuffing and baking a whole turkey. We are definitely for boneless meat over here.

The other recipes I have tried and approved so far are:

– classic traditional turkey stuffing
– rosemary dinner rolls
– grandma´s corn casserole
– brown sugar roasted sweet potatoes
– orange scented cranberry sauce
– roasted onions and chive smashed potatoes

I also tried out this sauce but I didn´t like it so I am still in search of another option.
 Do you have any ?

Thanks for stopping by. Take care. See you.

Fall home decor – gimme all the pumpkins // GIVEAWAY – closed

….

Hi guys,
(post contains affiliate links/Werbung-Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links und Markennennung/not sponsored)
I am continuing my passion for fall with my favorite and current fall decor. I am trying to do something a little different each year so view last years post here and here.
After coming home from our honeymoon I was craving fall really bad. Our weather was the best we could have asked for cause I really wanted to have all the cooler temps to break out my knits and checked pants and suede leather jackets.

My fall theme is easy to recreate since my main things are pumpkins. There are lots of them out on our front porch and also in our living room. I have a whole tray of pumpkins on our dining table and even more of them on our coffee table.

 Front Porch //
Let´s break down the areas starting with our front porch. I have lived in a flate for years, before we moved into our house which means I had no front porch so I couldn´t decorate but now things totally changed so of course I am taking advantage of it now. I love pumpkins overall fall things. It is the ultimate fall symbol for me so each September I am visiting a pumpkin patch nearby and get a ton of pumpkins.

Another thing I really love and brings lots of dimension to my decoration is a straw bale. I love to put my pumpkins and mums all around it and also put some onto it. The bale adds height which is never bad for decoration.

Entryway Console //

My absolute favorite fall colors are a dark orange and a rich burgundy shade. These also had been the colors of our fall themed wedding and they looked beautiful together. So I made sure to incorporate lots of these into our entryway decor. The velvet burgundy mushrooms are a real highlight and I totally adore them. The color is so full and rich and screams fall. I added some candles in jars to it and also a festive fall bouquet including lots of leaves and sunflowers. I really love how our entryway has turned out since it is usually the first room you see by entering the house and in my opinion it should somehow be welcoming.

Couch Area //
Our couch is the by far most comfortable area in the house (besides our bed) and one of the most used rooms (besides the kitchen) so I always decorating there whether it is for Spring, Easter or Christmas. A matching decoration is always there at least at one table.

Since I especially love fall cause it is the best time to cuddle up on the sofa, light a pumpkin spice candle and sip some coffee wrapped into a soft and cozy blanket like the faux fur one. So for this reason I am giving away one cozy blanket from Galeria Kaufhof to one happy reader.

Be sure to enter my giveaway below. It will be open until Friday next week – 12 pm. . Good luck.

How to make your house smell like fall…

wax warmer Yankee Candle /

….

Hello friends,
(post contains affiliate links/Werbung-Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links/Markennennung-not sponsored)
it seemed like forever until we finally got the cooler temps. From the beginning until the end of August I was craving fall so bad. I couldn´t help it but I was fed up of the super hot weather and ready for fall.

So since this is the first week of October I have a week full of fall themed post planned. From home decor to style, to recipes and even a giveaway so stay tuned.

Since I am such a huge fan of fall I am decorating the living room of our house and also our front porch (view last years decoration here) and I enjoy it each and every time. It sets my decoration process from Fall to Winter to Christmas.

But today I am talking about scents. Every house has its own unique inside smell. Not everyone likes the smell of other houses but it is a scent we connect with home, comfort and coziness.

I am a real lover of the Fall and Winter scents and I love that there are new mixtures every year. I am especially going crazy for everything pumpkin and cinnamon scented. But believe it can get quite expensive when you are buying a jar of each candle you could like so I opted for another system this year.

TARTES is the key word. They are pressed into whatever shape and made out of wax including the same fragrance you would get in a jar. I got a wax melt warmer from Yankee Candle in this super cool silver color gradient optic. It is so pretty and totally matches our living room. So there are just two steps left now.

Put a tealight into your wax warmer and cut of the desired amount of wax of your tarte. Let it melt and enjoy your gorgeous smelling home. The tartes are super intense. The whole house is smelling really good after about half an hour. They are totally worth it and also a little goes a long way.

I really love scents in our house around the Fall/Winter time cause we spend so much time inside and why not making it as nice and comfortable as possible.
My favorite scent is Pumpkin Spice from Village Candle – the best pumpkin candle I have ever bought. I am heartbroken that they have discontinued to make them. So I am buying what´s left of it.

As always thanks for stopping by. Take care. See you.
