Hi guys,

after our stay at the Europapark Rust we dediced to vistit Straßbourg for our last day. This really made sense because the city was only about 50 km away so it was a quick 30 minutes ride to this beautiful small french city.

After being owned by the Germans and a short time as a free city, Straßbourg was earned back by the french people and still belongs to them until today.

The city is famous for different european courts but also for tannery. This happened in petite france. A small quarter a little offside of the city centre. But this kind of work has been discontinued for a long time now and all that still remains are the buildings which where famous for it.

If you enter the city from the car parks you are just a few corners away from a huge and impressive church called Notre Dame. It is really really big like if you are trying to get the whole building on one photo you would fall back. Before the church there is a huge place with lots of different cafe´s and bistro´s. We went for lunch to one of them after exploring the streets of Straßbourg.

If you are planing on eating lunch be sure to try out the Quiche Lorraine – a famous french dish including eggs, bacon and onions.
Right when we entered the city I found a souvenir shop that was right up my alley. Beautiful ceramic mugs, fluffy fleece lined christmas socks and gingerbread men all around.
You can wander around and explore the city by foot but it you really want to see anything I would recommend a boat ride. We did one and it was really great. Do wouldn´t notice that Straßbourg has so many bridges until you go on a boat.
Thanks for stopping by. Take care. See you.

Fashion trend – wearing RED for fall….

Hi guys,
(post contains affiliate links / Werbung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links)
if you are following me for a longer time now, you might have recognized that I am drawn to red hues. Whether it is a bold and bright red shade or a deep burgundy hue I just love it. A bright red lipstick is the color I wear the most and I own the most (small lipstick problem – whoopsie). And this fall not only burgundy is huge also a christmassy red is totally en vogue and I couldn´t be happier.
But how to wear the trend. You can go all in by wearing a red dress or a red coat or red pants or you start a little more restrained and add a red bag or a red belt or just a red lip and for the brave ones under us you can wear red head to toe like Julia from Gal meets Glam (view the look here).

You might want to add some red pieces to your wardrobe cause red is going to stay for at least a half year cause after fall, winter is coming and who doesn´t love red for Christmas??!!

I opted for a red coat for this look. The creme pullover and the navy pencil skirt needed some spice so I added a plaid wool scarf with a blue, green and red pattern and this beautiful red coat. Unfortunately this is only suitable for fall cause it isn´t really warm and it doesn´t close so well. Only has hooks but I am never closing my jackets so I am fine with that.

I hope you had a nice weekend. Mine happended pretty much indoors cause it was raining cats and dogs and was just awful so I started on decorating for Christmas and played some Christmas music in the backgroun which really lifted my mood.

Thanks for stopping by. Take care. See you.

How I style my Hunter boots for rainy fall days….

denim H&M old similar here and here / blazer H&M old similar here and here / silk scarf H&M old similar here, here and here / Hunter boots / button-down H&M

….

Hi guys,

since when did rain boots become totally popular and accepted to wear in public?
Think back about 15 years. The only people who have worn them then where street worker or hunter or farmer for work every day. But then the Hunter boot appeared.  They interpreted the rain boot new. Suddenly it became a lifestyle to wear rain boots and in my opinion pretty chic. There are uncountable fashion blogger out there who also helped to integrate this and they have way more pairs than one.

I love my Hunters and I don´t have a problem at all weairng them on vacation when the weather isn´t that nice or in the winter. For today´s look I kept it dressy casual. I decided to wair a pair of dark denim paired with a pink and white striped button-down, a beige jersey blazer with golden buttons and a silk neckerchief.

I loved that look a lot cause I looked totally put together but still casual enough for taking a walk with Chloé or running a full day of errands.

I might go for the red pair of Hunter´s as well. They would make the perfect addition to Christmas inspired outifits and also it is my favorite color.

What do you think of rain boots? Do you also own a “chic” pair. I also love the ones Tommy Hilfiger designs.

Have a nice Friday and thanks for stopping by. Take care. See you.

Hi guys,
(post contais affiliate links / Werbung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links)
since Florian´s sister moved out and is now furnishing and decorating her new appartment she probably is planning on a housewarming party too. I have admit I don´t mind picking out gifts for others cause I am pretty good at that. In fact it makes me much happier gifting other people than receiving gifts. It is something I really enjoy.
And as we are in the beginning of November Thanksgiving, Christmas and NYE aren´t too far away. If you are invited to a party you should be sure to take at least a bottle of wine or something bubbly with you. I was thinking about some more practical and thoughtful gifts so I decided to share this little gift guide with you. All the gifts could be easily transformed as christmas gifts too.

I picked some pieces which are pretty general but still nice and thoughtful. So in fact you can´t go wrong with a color or anything else here.

Thanks for stopping by. Take care. See you.
