Hello my colorblocking friends,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

I know not everyone has to work on Valentine´s Day or has a strict dresscode at the office so this look is for you. A casual Valentine´s day look including red and a bold shade of pink.

The Look

I got this sweater two weeks ago and I love it. It is perfect for Valentine´s. It is super soft and fits true to size (wearing a size 36). The brand is called manguun collection and it was also super affordable. You could also easily wear it with a pencil skirt and a blazer jacket to smuggle it into your office surroundings. I have paired it with a little matching bag I got two years ago. It has such a great size for a date night bag but also to wear it as a crossbody. The lipstick I am wearing in the pictures above is called Paris Cherry and it is from L´Oréal but I think you could also wear Rebel from MAC to match the color of the sweater. I paired it with pants to keep it super casual (and it was also freezing cold this day) and to add a little fanciness I went with a pair of leopard print booties.

Do you have any plans for Valentine´s day yet ? We are going to stay in this year and treat ourselves to a huge pizza and some chinese food from some restaurants we get food frequently. I have to admit I am really looking forward to it. Lighting my favorite candles and having a glass of bubbly.

I am so looking forward to it. It is one week away from now. Be sure to check back tomorrow for more Valentine´s day content, also check out my Gift Guide and if you need some sweet treats my Red Velvet Cupcakes or Raspberry Macarons post.

Also I didn´t see that my belt wasn´t tight enough during the shoot, but I think you can all imagine how it looks properly worn.

Thanks for stopping by. Take care. See you.

The perfect personalized gift for Valentine´s Day for her or him….

….

Hey guys,

(post contains links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Links-not sponsored)

by now you might know how much I love Valentine´s Day and as much as I am for practical gifts (stuff to wear or things you wanted/needed) I can´t deny I wouldn´t love a personalized gift over everyhting else.

So for Valentine´s Day 2019 I do have a great gift idea for you guys which will be delivered until the 14th if you order today (for customers from Europe and the US and several other countries – be sure to check the pricing&shipping tab).

I am talking about Lovebook, a company I came across Instagram (the commericials there aren´t always bad) and I loved the idea right away. It is not only perfect for Valentine´s Day. There are so many different ocassions you can choose from like birthdays, marriage, anniversaries and so much more. I of course wanted a Valentine´s Day inspired book to show my husband how much I love and appreciate him.

The great thing is that you can personalize the people you want to talk about/use for the book. Such a nice feature and it is so much fun. I think we turned out great but I probably have to wait until next week if he really recognizes himself and me.

If you are searching for a gift you where you can express your feelings or somethings really special, this is for you. It is different from gift cards, sweets or other material things.

I went with the hardcover and full color illustrations but they also offer soft cover and black and white pages. I think you get the best value out of this. Also be sure to select premium shipping at checkout to get your Lovebook delivered in time for Valentine´s Day (and you also get a tracking number so you can see where it is at the moment).

And of course it wouldn´t be perfect without a little discount code for the holiday. Use code VDAY19 for 20 & off of your Lovebook order.

Have fun putting it together and happy gifting.

(I unfortunately can´t show you more of my book because my husband reads my blog sometimes so I don´t want him to see the whole surprise).

Thanks for stopping by. Take care. See you.

Valentine´s Day Goodies to spoil yourself or to gift…

Codello scarf / heart sunglasses / Hypnotic Poison by Dior / YSL limited edition lipstick / Zoeva brush set / Sephora matte lipstick / Kate Spade heart satchel / nailpolish Essie / manguun collection heart pullover / Beauty sweater River Island / monogram mug amazon / Ella Heart crossbody bag

….

Hello my holiday loving friends,

since Valentine´s Day is one of my favorite holidays I am sharing a little gift guide including sweet gifts for yourself or your begifted. We usually are going out but I think this Valentine´s we are going to stay in and enjoy ourselves while eating a huge pizza and watching Netflix (since it became so cold and snowy I barely want to go outside).

Codello heart print scarf // A scarf is a well needed accessorry in the winter so why not step up your outerwear game and wear this super cute and soft scarf with little colorful hearts all over. Combine it with your favorite color and spread some love.

Heart shapped sunglasses // We don´t have much sun over here these days but if you have or even got warm weather on Valentine´s day be sure to grab one of these. The shape is not only super trendy right now but it also fits perfectly for the holiday.

Dior perfume // I ordered this fragrance back in December and I loved it right away. Since I am more on the flowery side in terms of fragrances I wanted to have a little heavier one for the winter days. I always feel like these are the more appropriate ones in the winter. The Hypnotic Poison smells so good. It includes musk which can get too much for me quickly but it is mixed with some other lighter scents and really smells heavenly. The perfect perfume to gift.

Limited edition lipsticks // These are the cutest I have seen in a while so if you are a lipsticks lover/addict/collector be sure to get this quick cause they will sell out fast. I have gotten the Sephora one already and I love it. The color is super pigmented and also super matte and the red is so pretty.

Essie nailpolish // Red nails are a must for the day lovers.

Sweaters // No matter if you are staying at home or not be sure to grab one of these super cute sweaters. I got the purple one (going to share it in a separate outfit post very soon). I absolutely love to dress for the ocassion. Would be office appropriate with a blazer jacket and pencil skirt but you can also wear it casual with denim and booties.

Handbags // Aren´t these handbags the most prettiest you have ever seen for Valentine´s Day?? I know they are quite the investment to only use for one day. But to be honest you are not limited on days in wearing heart print. Go for the Kate Spade if you own a lot of red or/and blush pieces as this one is a real allrounder and also works for daily use.

Monogramm mug // Awesome little present for a co-worker, your mum or even a friend. These are super affordable and every letter looks different.

Zoeva pink brush set // Would be a great gift for yourself if you are a make-up lover or even to gift to a make-up loving friend. You could also get this for a Galentine´s party and divide it in two packages, one for you and one for your bestie.

Thanks for stopping by. Take care. See you.

How to wear a velvet dress + my guide to shop at SheIn…

….
(post contains affilate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)
Velvet dresses didn´t get me as excited as the rest of the fashion crowd when they came out and I wasn´t into them right away. I first thought that is such a grandma material and not flattering at all but I am sure open to be taught a better one. And I was. My first velvet piece was a gorgeous blush t-shirt I have worn so many times the last winter and spring that I can not count it. So the styling of more velvet pieces followed. I got a gold studded blazer jacket, a burnt orange skirt and this beautiful dark blue midi dress. I ordered it from SheIn and it came in time and was made of good quality and great color. Definitely gonna wear this on one of the Holidays.
I paired it with all gold accessoires and a nude faux fur jacket but it would be also really pretty if paired with silver heels and accessoires.

So let´s move on to the next topic I get several question about. Ordering pieces from the SheIn online shop. I know some of you don´t trust the shop or have read lots of bad comments or reviews but I have to say (and this post is in no way sponsored, just wanted to share my experience with you) I have never gotten one bad piece where I thought this has to go into the trash can right away. I never had a lost or forgotten order and customer service is really fast.

How is the quality? // It depends on what you get but I have to say mostly good. I really never had such a bad piece I couldn´t wear. The skirt and dresses I ordered had been lined so far. There was never a seam that opened right away or was already open. Also the sequins on differnt items are sewed on very well.

How are the prices? // I think they range from very affordable (you could say cheap as well but I really don´t like the negativity of the word) to normal. You cant get a blouse from 8 to 15 € and coats from 20 to 60 €. They also offer daily flash sales including a wide range of products and almost always discount codes to save money.
How long takes shipping? // It depends on the season. They are really busy around every holiday so be sure to place your order early
How is sizing? // Sizing can be really tricky so I wouldn´t give to much of the size comparisons they have. ALWAYS meassure. I do this everytime (had a piece that was way too small on my first order) and I have never had one that didn´t fit again. Be sure that you don´t meassure to tight. One or two centimetres don´t impair the fight or the silhouette but it can give you a little more freedom of movement.
How can I pay? // So this one is the easiest question of all. You can pay with any credit card and if you don´t have one you can pay through Paypal but you always have to pay upfront.

What else do they offer? // You can get rewards in form of points by confirming the arrival of the package and also by uploading and posting a styled picture with one of your bought articles and I think you also get points by reviewing pieces.

I hope this helps a little to get rid of your concerns about bad comments. If you are still not sure about it why not order one simple piece and see if you like it.

Here are some of the pieces I got lately and loved a lot:

– olive pearl ruffled sweater
– leopard sequin pencil skirt
– 60´s inspired tie-neck sweater
– pink corderoy blazer jacket
– clear wooden handle bag
–  neon pink turtleneck sweater
– fringe hem striped poncho sweater
– white eyelet blouse
– scalloped hem t-shirt (so many pretty colors available)
– sequin cami dress

And now have fun shopping.

As always thanks for stopping by. Take care. See you.
