Another fourth birthday party and we have a second four year old. How in the world can my middle girl already be 4 !!! years old. She is still exploring and finding out everything. My silly little girl I love so much. She wished for a monkey birthday party cause these are her favorite animals and as you know birthday wishes are my command. I think I delivered pretty good this time. I loved it a lot.

I was a little hesitant about the theme and didn´t have too much hope to find a lot of good stuff cause the most themes were you can find anything monkey was the „Wild One“ theme will all the other safari animals but after a little deep dive down the internet I got a full shopping cart and a calm mind.

Monkey Birthday Party

The Decor

I went with the jungle theme and got lots of green leaves as background for the cake and coffee table. The overall color theme has been hues of green, brown and touches of gold. All of the big sequin table clothes have reused a ton of times throughout the years. They have definitely been worth the money I spent.

Also how else should it be – a huge balloon garland and a ton of monkeys. The singns on the side were also really cool and added some safari vibes. I glued the leaves together as they all came separate and I didn´t want to use a hundred powerstrips and also didn´t want to have hundred needles sticking in my wall. Hot glue was the answer. I had about 15 rows from top to bottom. Was totally manageable and didn´t consume a lot of time.

The Cake

The cake was as amazing as always. All of the decor elements are just gorgeous and so pretty too look at. The leaves and the smiling monkeys and the cute bananas everywhere. She loved her cake so much it was a joy to watch.

My girl requested an all chocolate cake so all of the sponge cake layers and the buttercream inside were chocolate. Very delicious.

The Table Setting

The Outfits

I got us some matching safari clothes. She wore a musselin skirt in a beige hue and a green shirt with her name and a monkey on the front and I got this beige and green paisley dress from H&M a few days prior. It worked out perfectly and looked pretty great. We blended in nicely.

The Kids Table

I didn´t make a separate kids table cause all of her friends are a year older than her and so they could all sit at the big table. I just swapped the gold sequin table cloth for a funny monkey table runner and also had paper plates and cups.

This was just fine and it was easy to clean up as well. I just threw the used ones away.

For all of the birthday parties I am always thinking what to make for the kids but in fact it almost doesn´t matter. Muffins are just fine cause eat some and then go on playing. My girl requested those monkey muffins she saw in a magazing and I just copied them.

I had watermelon slices and fresh cherries for later in the afternoon and little slices of pizza and ice cream for dinner.  A total hit and everything was super easy to prepare.

The Goodie Bags

Going to post a seperate reel on Insta regarding the goodie bags. I had everything monkey themed. Those little figurines that will stick to any smooth surface, stickers, a key chain an very cool gree straw with a huge jungle leave and some little wooden animals that can be colored with pens.

Mermaid Birthday Party Inspo…

….

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate LInks-not sponsored)

Our big girl turned six year the end of March. SIX YEARS !!! Which means she will start school in September. I am in shock and disbelief but it is how it is. I have been waiting for one of the girls wanting a mermaid birthday party for a few years now and it finally came true. I just love theme parties I can decorate for.

The Decor

The theme was 12/10. I always knew that there was so much things to choose from but never ever have I thought I am going to have so much fun with the mermaid theme. Emilia only gave me the very important colors for her cake – pink, purple and turquoise and I just worked my way around it. All of my birthday decorations are a mix of SheIn, amazon and Temu. They just offer the biggest selection to great prices.

A huge ballon arch and sequins are mandatory. Everything else colorful and glitter is just the cherry on top.

The fishing net with the jellyfish are probably the coolest table decor we ever had. And since we are having those accoustic panels on the back of the dining area it is super easy to decorate here as well. Garlands of jellyfish, shells and seastars.

The Cake

I probably sound like a broken record on this but it was the most beautiful cake we have ever had. I mean the details are just impeccable. have you seen all the different shells on top of it. The pearls and waves. The mermaid tales.

We had vanilla buttercream andf illed with nut. It tasted like a Giotto in a cake. All the flavors have been the birthday girls choices and they blended in together nicely.

The Kids Party

The kids birthday party was a week later and I had 6 girls over including my 3 so there was definitely a lot going on.

We first had cake and then they each handed the birthday girl the presents. After that we started with the birthday festivities. We had painting and

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

Valentine´s Day is one of my favorite holidays. It is not very big here in Germany but I still love to make a little effort for my husband, my mom, my children and of course for myself. I do not need big presents or big gestures. I like to gift some flowers and a homemade cake to my mom and make my husbands favorite dinner and of course I do enjoy making the Valentine´s baskets for the girls. I really don´t need a thing cause I am happy to get things for other to make them feel special and loved but I always end up getting some crafts from my big girls.

DIY – Billy Transformation with Wallpaper and Chalk Paint…

….

(Werbung/Ad-Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

I just love a home project and you might think by now I have exchanged every little corner and piece of furniture possible but no I did not. I have had this Ikea Billy cabinet for over ten years now and I definitely think it was a lot more white when it was new so I was on the lookout for something new but since it fits all of my glassware perfectly and also is drilled to the wall I could either get another new one or paint it. I went with second.

To reduce the work to a minimum I was looking for ways to just paint the cabinet without sanding it first and then I found this cute paint company called Miss Pompadour. It offers tons of different colors with chalk finish and you only have to prime your piece of furniture first.

DIY Billy Transformation

The color I have used is from the Cosy Colours line and called Mystic Lake Green. It´s a chalk paint so it dries of matte.

I also got the primer from Miss Pompadour. Did one coat of primer on the cleaned cabinet. Took about 2 hours to dry. Then I started with the actual color. Did two coats and redid some little spos I obviously missed.
