and welcome to one of my rare Saturday posts, but the month of December is full with a ton of stuff and deadlines so I need every possible day to share something different with you.
I love reading and I am browsing amazon every few weeks to find new books for me. And since there are more of me out there I am sharing this gift guide for the bookworm today. There is a whole lot more to a book than you might imagine. Like getting comfortable with a hot beverage and cuddled up into a warm blanket with your reading glasses. I have rounded up a bunch of things you could gift.
we are in the countdown to Christmas or at last in the middle of preparations for the biggest holiday of the year. So with all the different customer services stores have to offer you can almost everywhere get your gifts wrapped and place them under the tree the minute you get home.
I don´t like to make use of this service cause first of all I love gift wrapping and second of all you can give every present a personal note so that the person who receives it knows exactly it is from you. It is so easy to personalize each gift.
These are the things you will need: gift wrapping paper, bows, little ornaments and branches, little cards or gift tags and eventually empty boxes. All of these things are available everywhere at this time of the year.
If you have soft gifts or gifts with a strange shape it is best to put them in a box first cause the present turns out more pretty if you have a rectangular box to work with.
The last of my presents are coming in tomorrow so I am going to be done gift wrapping by the end of the week. I like to wrap them up as early as possible cause it looks super decorative and festive under my tree.
Are you gifting a personal note with every gift or do you love the convenient wrapping stations at the department stores?
I am probably sharing my most favorite gift guide with you today (besides the beauty addict one) – the hostess gift guide. I love love love hosting dinner parties and gatherings. This would totally be my hobby if it was possible in any way. It is not only the cooking and serving food I enjoy a lot, it is also the table decor. I can be so creative and put a lot of thought into it. Also it never get´s boring or I run out of ideas cause every season and holiday is different and there are so many possibilities.
So today´s gift guide really is for all my hostesses and hosts out there. I added a bunch of stuff I have and use and truly love and also some things I ordered or are on my wishlist.
I am so eager to finally share our Christmas tree with you guys. I opted for a classic color theme this year in red and green. The traditional Christmas colors. I personally think it is the prettiest combo I have done so far but this is probably one thing I say every year.
The flocked white tree is from Fairy Trees I got from amazon three years ago and I still love it. I think the white makes is super christmassy and all the colored Christmas ornaments pop right out.
So I added a bunch of tartan checked bows and glass candy canes to the tree. I like to have different ornaments and to play around with different textures and shapes. The white tree skirt is also from amazon and cost about 20 Euro. I would say get one cause it totally adds dimension to the tree plus the white faux fur tree skirt looks great with presents on.
Another thing I enjoy decorating a lot is the mantle. Throwing a garland over it and adding the same color theme as on the tree not only makes it fitting in it also looks very festive.
I am not ready decorating everything. My garlands up the stairs are still in the making but I can say that I have all the presents I need for this year. At least I have accomplished this. The rest of my decor should be up by the end of next week. Step by step is my new motto. I have to admit I am not as fit as I was before getting pregnant and I am tired more often. This bugs me a lot but I just can´t change it and in the end I am very happy the way it is.
Did you decide on a color theme for your tree ? Have you set up already?
Wishing you a great weekend. I am going to post through the weekend so you can check back tomorrow or Sunday for new content.
