We love to celebrate any ocassion big or small. And what better way to honor someone by putting in all the effort and decorate the hell out of the theme. A ballon arch in my opinion is one of the easiest and most affordable ways to transform a room and make it look like you put a lot of thought and work into it.

Balloon arches we already had

I have made so many balloon arches during the last years, so I might add that I am doing quite the good job assembling them. Always love a great theme to make the most of it. Kid´s birthday parties are of course the best cause I can go all out with colors and all things cute but a plain balloon arches can also look very good.

Colors for different themed parties to put together

Orange, Brown, Yellow, Gold and Green – Dinosaur, Safari

Pastel Yellow, Green, Blue and Blush – Rainbow, Candyland, Unicorn

Purple, Turquoise, Silver – Mermaid, Gabby´s Dollhouse

White, Silver, Lavender and Baby Blue – Frozen,

Black, Gold, Yellow, White – BeeDay, The Great Gatsby, Engagement, New Years Eve

and so many more to choose from …..

Add ons like garlands, number and figure balloons to complete the scene

If there is a little gap between garlands, on the floor or you just want to add some fun or dimension to your balloon arch you can never go wrong with a matching theme foil balloon.

Best ways to hang

I have tried different ways and the two things that are my go-to´s are clear fishing rod, thumbtacks and Tesa Power Strips.

The best string to put your balloons in line

I have tried different strings and find that the best are the ones I have linked below. They are not as tight and the wholes are not sharp so your balloons won´t pop before you hang up the garland.

I prefer the right one here with the single whole. The plastic is much smoohter and doesn´t hurt your balloons. Also it is tighter together. You can get it here.

The one thing you need to come out sane

If you plan on having balloon garlands and arches on more than one occasion I would definitely remmomend an electric balloon pump. You can never blow up this many balloons. Mine is was under twenty and I have had it for years and it still works great. You can also blow up the big foil balloons with the balloom pump. You just need a longer noozle (is included) and a little patience as it takes much longer than a regular balloon.

How many balloons will you need for a moderately large balloon arch

I´d go for 30 to 40 to have a moderate size which meassures about two meters.

Where to get your balloons

You can either buy themed sets or get all of your requested colors equally. I would definitely recommend on looking around what color pairings are available cause they are much cheaper and less balloons when you can get a set. Also there will be everything included you´ll need. Best shops to get all things themed are amazon, SheIn and Temu.

End-of-the-Year Kindergarten Teacher Gifts…

….

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

This is always a fun task for me. I love putting together gifts for others and in my opinion I had a pretty good and easy implementable idea for this years Kindergarten teacher gift.

First of all I like to admit that I love to gift things you can use up and throw away the packaging. I know that stuff can pile up pretty fast but if you get lots of consumable things you hit the jackpot.

Kindergarten Teacher Gift Idea

I went with water tumbler this year. Mine are from NKD and pretty good for the very affordable price of 10 Euro each. Then I filled it with wood wool so the little things wouldn´t slide to the bottom. I have bought hand lotion, lip balm, a protein bar and a pen and paper set. These are all things you can use up and don´t have sitting in your home. Also I think this is a great range of products for a Kindergarten teacher no matter the age or interests.

Other gift ideas:

– a small basket with a DIY kit like a taco kit or a hot chocolate kit

– if it is allowed a gift card or restaurant voucher (you can never go wrong with this)

– category kit like a notebook, post-its, pens, paper clips or a snack kit with cooler bag, a tumbler and a snack box

Do you have other gift ideas you love ? Let me know, I would love to share it on here too.

A „Purrfect“ Third Birthday Party…

….

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

After some months of back and forth we have landed on a kitty birthday party. We started with Ariel, the little mermaid and ended with a monkey birthday party but ultimately came back to cats. Our little one is not a very decisive kid and she mainly goes with the flow so I can only guess how hard this was for her but she loved it and was genuinely excited and happy.

Purrfect Kitty Birthday Party Decor

If you have been following along for a little or even long while you know how much I enjoy a theme and if I have one I go all out and by all out I mean ALL OUT!!!!. The table decor is mostly from Temu and / or SheIn (I can link as much as possible below). I started with a golden sequin table cloth and added a kitty table runner with black cats and paw prints all over. Kitty napkins are a true must if you want to throw a purrfect birthday party cause little kittens not only spill milk. I have also found these adorable cardbord cats as you can see on the vase here and I have added them to candle holder as well.

The main attraction – the birthday table was of course decorated with a huge ballon arch. Ballon arches have somehow become my trademark throughout the years but there is nothing that make bigger impact for little money than a ballon arch. Here you can find little paw details on the white ballons. Further I have gotten this huge Happy Birthday banner to pin under the ballon arch and cover up the paint color of the wall. Emilia and I also made little kitten cookies together. I got a cat head shaped cookie cutter and we decorated with sprinkles and chocolate drops.

Purrfect Kitty Birthday Cake

The cake was perfection. I have ordered a vanilla sponge cake with chocolate and strawberry buttercream (as requested) covered in a white layer of fondant with kitty ears, paws and a little tail. The pink and blush buttercream roses on top completed the cake it looked so adorable I honestly didn´t want to eat it at first, but we did and it was delicioius.

The glittery kitty Happy Birthday sign and the #3 birthday candle are from SheIn.

Purrfect Kitty Birthday Outfits

I have gotten her two outfits. The black and white striped kitty dress for her actual birthday and the pink tulle princess kitty dress for her birthday party a few days later. I think she loved the tulle dress more but both have looked super cute on her.

The lace kitty ears would make a great gift for a kids birthday party as well. They looked really cute and fit also great on grown-up heads.

Spring Christening Decor – Daisies and Yellow….

….

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

We had our baby´s christening in the middle of April and I finally have time to share the gorgeous decor and food with you. I love to throw parties with a theme and still have some up my sleeve. A Spring christening has been the perfect ocassion for a white and yellow color theme.

Color Theme

Since our christening was in the middle of April I thought a colorful and flowery Spring theme would be amazing. I choose daisies cause I have had the theme in the back of my mind for a birthday of the girls but it worked out great for our christening as well.

Decor

I had three things to decorate. The food table, the beverage station and the bar tables.

Let´s start with the easiest. We have used these bar tables for several ocassions over many many years. I got napkins to put on like a table cloth and little vases for the flowers.

The beverage station was all about the daisies. I have gotten these cute tulle fabrics with the daisy print and also daisy ballons to go with the theme.

For the cake table I went all out. Of course it had to be a sequins table cloth and a huge ballon arch. I have done so many of these but I still love it. I had two hues of yellow and white. The vases are left from Helena´s christening and were filled to the brim with gorgeous flower arrangements. My MIL always make the flowers and she has a real talent for it. Looks so pretty every time. The cupcake etagere is one  of the coolest things I have gotten in years.

Flowers

My MIL makes all of our flower arrangements cause she does them so well. I get the flowers at a local store normally a day before.

Food

Since our christening was at 11 in the morning and we also had lots of sweet food cause of the gorgeous delicious cake and the cupcakes I decided to make a charcuterie board and my MIL made some puff pastry finger food filled with salmon and some filled with bacon.

The cake has been a two-tier fondant covered cake. The top layer was chocolate and nut and the bottom layer has been raspberry and pistacchio. Both have been so delicious I couldn´t decide for a favorite. The cupcake frosting was passion fruit.

Candle

I have gotten all three of our candles on etsy. I always match them the color theme so the girls have little hints to remember their special day. There are hundreds of different ones and always so hard to choose from.
