How to get your front porch ready for fall…

Hi guys
it is already time to decorate my front porch to be ready for the gorgeous fall season and of course for Halloween.
I do not have a lot of space on my front porch but it is still all right for some decoration items, pumpkins and flowers.
I got these super nice flowers from our local garden shop. They are chrysanthemums and the color is so beautiful. In fact I wanted lots of more flowers but there is not much space.
Found those at our local home department store. I think you can get them almost everywhere around this time.

I put out 3 pumpkins. One with a not so scary Halloween face. Put I have more to carve in faces but I am gonna wait for that until we are closer at Halloween.

Had those two birdhouses left from last years fall decoration but they fit pretty nice out there.

I really like this years outside decoration – in fact it is the first time I have one because  last year I was living in an apartment on the first floor.

Are you decorating your front porches ? What do you like ?

How to make delicious Orange Rolls for fall….

Hi guys
there are several recipes which are created for different seasons. Here is one I want you to introduce today because I think it is perfect for fall and winter season.
Orange Rolls
They are pretty simple to make. A yeast dough with a  filling made from butter and orange with a simple cream cheese frosting.
Everyone is gonna love this. (My honey really does :))
So here we go:
 Start with the dough
Put 2 teasponns of yeast in a bowl with 2 cups of warm water and 1 teaspoon of sugar
Stir until the yeast is liquid. Let is set a few minutes.
Take a 1/2 cup of melted butter, six cups of flour, 1/3 cup of sugar, 2 teaspoons of salt, 2/3 cup of warm milk, 1 egg
Mix all together and cover it up with a hot towel or put it in the oven with low heat.
The dough has to be double the size to move on.
Divide the dough into two pieces.
Roll out the the dough and brush the orange-butter paste on.
For the paste:
Rib off the orangepeel of three oranges and stir it into 1 cup of melted butter
Put it on the dough before rolling and then cut it into little pieces. (It works pretty well with a thread)  Take a cupcake form for baking.
Leave it in the oven for about 15 to 20 minutes by 180 degrees.
For the frosting:
Mix the cream cheese. some sugar and some orange schalen.
Top it with some sprinkles for adding some color.

Let me know what you think about it !

Pumpkin Spice Latte…..

Hi guys

on off the sadest things (or maybe the only one) about fall is that I just can´t get out and get one of those delicious Pumpkin Spice Lattes which belong to fall season like booties and knitted cardigans, cause the nearest Starbucks is about 45 minutes away. This is why I tried out a few recipes to make my own yummy fall drink and this one is the closest to the original so here we go….
Ingredients:
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons pumpkin puree
1 tablespoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice and a little extra for the topping
1/4 teaspoon vanilla syrup
1/4 cup hot espresso
Sweetened whipped cream

Directions:
Combine the milk, pumpkin puree, sugar, pumpkin pie spice and
vanilla in a medium pot and heat it up. Whisk vigorously until the milk mixture is foamy –  about 30
seconds.

Pour the espresso into a large mug and add the milk. Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice.

Hope you are enjoying yours as much as I do.
Have a great day
Take care. See you. Love K.

Coffee Table Decoration Ideas…..

Hi guys

I always loved – and still do love hosting all kinds of events like a brunch, a dinner or just an afternoon coffee meeting. Last thing we had yesterday. I had my whole family over for coffee and of course for some delicious cake to show them the new house we are living now ( – for gods sake it is already done). I had been thinking a lot upfront about the table decoration and I decided to go with an outisde theme as we were sitting on the patio. As I had this nice coffee table cup and plate set I decided to got with the colors green and purple – an awesome combination I did never recognice -but these colors rock toghether.

So here we go – this is everything I used ( got the flowers and the lavender from the fields behind the house and our garden)
So first of all for the drinks – besides the regular coffee I had some refreshing sparkling water  with slices of lemon for this little lemon scent in the water and as an apperitiv for the guests after arriving an Jules Mumm with Acai flavor – a brasilian berry.

I made two cakes ( we were eight people – so I was afraid it wouldn´t be enoug to eat) – the small one was a sand cake and the other one has been a Pina Colada cake with pineapples and some rum. Yummy 🙂

I cut some fresh lavender from our garden to make the little bouquets for the plates.

I hope you all had a nice weekend and sorry for posting so late today. Oops.
Take care. See you. Love K.
