ever since I had wondered if black would be a good color for summer. Black might be a wardrobe staple color but in fact I love wearing vibrant colors in the summer a lot more than wearing black. I always thought this fits much more into dark and foggy fall days and the cold and (it always seems to me) never ending dark days of winter. Before the „rule“ was dropped by so many fashion blogger not to wear white after labor day, there had to be some reason for this.
But let´s get clear with this. In my opinion it is all about balance. Wearing black in summer is possible and can look amazing on glowing tan skin. As fabric you should take a lighter material like silk or chiffon. This is airy and flowy and gives you this summer vibe. Also why not adding some cut outs or embroidery to the item to add some flair. And last but not least adding a print with vibrant colors like a bold pink can really help too.

Our BBQ on Saturday was a pretty hit. The food turned out great. The weather was perfect. Zero chance of rain and a light breeze. And the company wasn´t bad either.
I made lots of different salads and vegetables and Florian was chief of the grill.
As happy as I am looking forward to fall I really hope there are a few weekends like those left before summer ends.
