Spring makes everything new, not only in nature but also in fashion. One big change you can see turning Spring are the colors changing. Colors go lighter like pastels or brighter like neons whatever the trend is going to be.

I for myself are more of a pattern girl than a plain color fan so something I am wearing mostly has a print or pattern like the striped blouse in this post.

The light blue stripes are super springy and paired with a blue pair of jeans they totally pop. Also a white pair would be really nice but I did not have one being pregnant cause it was mostly in Winter and I am not a huge fan of white denim in Winter.

What color to add to not loose the focus on the baby blue ? I went with a light creme color but you could also go with white or brown or even a darker blue.

This look works great for Spring whether you are pregnant or not. The blouse also is a non maternity piece. I just sized up one size and since it had kind of an oversized fit to it, it still worked with a nine months bump.

Aren´t stripes a total classic? I mean they don´t really count as a print anymore. They gained total neutral status while looking fresh and french for the last decades. Blue and white stripes especially spread the maritime flair and should not be missed in Spring and Summer.

I have been loving stripes for a very long time although we had a love/hate relationship at the very beginning as I was searching for the perfect stripe in terms of thickness and collected a ton of striped shirts but to be honest I really don´t mind having quite the selection.

For this look I kept it pretty simple. The denim jacket freshens up the striped dress and the crisp white pair of Converse sneakers add such a casual vibe. To make the look pop I went with a green handbag that complements the green collar of the dress.

It is a maternity dress I got from Asos but to be honest this look can be copied with every striped dress no matter the color combo.

Do you like stripes as much as I do or are you more on the plain color side?

Hi you guys,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

from the beginning on of my pregnancy I have been ordering a couple of belly oils and creams to prevent stretch marks. I used them every night from the moment I was showing until the very last day and I found some favorites and some I really didn´t like at all.

I haven´t gotten a single stretch mark on my tummy so whether it is genetic (this always helps a lot in all stages of life) or supporting your ever stretching skin with the hydration it needs helps your skin to grow to its limit without tearing.

Body Oils in Review

BiOil

BiOil had been the first brand I tried in terms of preventing stretch marks.

Burt´s Bees Mama Bee Body Oil

This has been by far my favorite. The scent is amazing – the lemony smells makes it super fresh. The bottle lasts about two months and made my skin super soft. After I found this one and it was empty I ordered another bottle cause I loved it so much.

Burt´s Bees Mama Bee Body Butter

As much as I liked the Body Oils from their brand the Body Butter really smelled awful. It also had a super weird consistence. It was super thick and so not great to spread evenly over the bump. I am also not sure if it wasn´t expired already cause off all of this. Would not recommend it at all. I practically tossed it brand new.

Burt´s Bees Baby Bee Oil

I ordered this by mistake as I wanted a back-up of the Mama Bee Body Oil and ended up using it on my belly. It has a dry oil formula which is wonderful as it gets soaked it almost immediately and you can get dressed right after without having stains anywhere. Going to definitely get another one for my baby girl as this is liquid gold for dry spots.

Rituals Stretchmark Tummy Cream

This was actually a gift of a very sweet friend. I have been using Ritual products in my daily routine for years but never noticed that they also offer mum and baby products. The body butter is more on the light side which I don´t mind at all cause it is great to use in the mornigns or during the day when the bump gets itchy and believe me it will at some point.

If you are searching for a good value I would recommend the Burt´s Bees Baby Oil. You can use it for yourself and the baby and it also lasts a long time. Also if you don´t like any scented body procuts this is the one to go.

Isn´t it great to finally wear lighter colors and all the pastels we got in our closet. When the sun is out my mood lifts immediately although I don´t like the summer heat but the temperatures at the moment are awesome and we couldn´s ask for more. With all the staying at home at least the weather is nice and we can sit outside.

I personally love to wear pastels for Spring. The shades point out the soft- and airyness of a new season we definitely need.

A minty green hue is not for everyone but pastel colors in general. Not every pastel hue is for every skin tone. It really is about trying out what you like with your hair and skintone but if you have found one you love stick with it as it will look beautiful.

Paired with white and a light denim shade or even all white, pastels make the perfect Spring companion.

Do you like pastels or do you prefer the brighter shades?
