Wedding Wednesday – 10 items you won´t miss as a bride to be….

….

Hi guys,
(post contains affiliate links / Werbung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links)
since our Bridal Brunch has been last weekend we only have our bachelorette weekends ahead of us and then we are on the countdown to our wedding day.

I can´t believe how fast the rest of the time is flying now. We are 50 days away today which is less than two months!!!!! I am so happy and a little nervous if everything turns out the way I imagined it but mostly incredible happy.

So today I am rounding up my tried and true products you won´t miss as a bride to be.

1 // a cute wedding planner book
The very first thing after I knew I was going to get married was getting a wedding planner book. I have seen this gorgeous purple version on Asos and ordered it immediately. I really love how many different categories it has inside. From guests and vendors to companies and plain pages for thoughts. It also has a budget planning tab and a seating chart with stickers. First I wanted the Erin Condren wedding planner but the one I got from Asos is just enough for me and a lot less expensive. It also carries sheet protections where you can put in business cards from venues or bands for example.

2 // bride to be mug
The only mug I have been using for months now is my bride to be mug and why not. I can´t use it after and I really love it. Everytime I am enjoying my coffee at home it reminds me of what is ahead of us and puts a smile on my face.
I have found mine on amazon but there are many different design all over Etsy too.

3 // bride shirt
This is one I have gotten paticularly for my bachelorette weekend as I thought it would be much cuter than wearing anything super pink or just a plain white tee. The print is rose glitter and I totally love the slouchy off one shoulder fit.
Mine is from Etsy and I got a size S. It came from Florida but only took about 2 weeks.

4 // engangement ring bowl
Another must-have is a place to put your engagement ring. You can store it in its original box itself or you get one of these ceramic bowls. I personally love them and got two. One in my bedroom for my wedding ring then (also kept the velvet box of my engagement ring) and one in the kitchen cause I have cutting veggies or kneading dough with my ring on. There are a ton of different ones out there so be sure to check different shops. I got mine from Etsy and the Bridal Shower shop but also Nordstrom offers a lot.

5 // bride toiletry bag
I wanted to have a special toiletry bag for my big day where all my products for a touch up would find place so I choose this monogrammed linen toiletry bag I have found on amazon. It has a great size and

6 // bride morning gown
This is one piece I had to get at all costs. As an Instagram wedding inspiration seeker I have come across several pictures where the bride is wearing a white robe and all ther bridesmaids are wearing a pink robe or flower printed ones. I loved the fact of the look a like robes and I think they also make awesome picutres for our get ready shooting. Mine is from Asos and the bridesmaid gown also. See the full post what I put into their boxes here.

7 // champagne glass with bride print
I got these stemless champagne glasses for the morning of my wedding day since the bridesmaids and I and my mom are going to get ready at her house cause the living room is huge and fits us all and a lot more. My glass was also plain like the others but I ordered this golden print on Etsy. I first wanted to order the whole glass but I couldn´t find a single one I liked which would be shipped to Germany or where they wouldn´t charge 40 Euros for shipping only. I think this is the best solution and I also got a second sticker for my name which is pretty awesome too.

8 // bride phone case
First I wanted to have a phone case with bride standing all over but I couldn´t find what I was imagining so I went on the hunt for any other case I could find which would give a hint that I am a bride. I was really devastated about the choices. I only have found two pretty ones. Maybe it is because I have a Huawei and not and Iphone but in my opinion it is sad that there aren´t many more different ones. Although I love the one I got very much. It reminds me of my own wedding dress everytime I look at it which is really great.

9 // a wedding planning glass
This is probably one of the cutest things ever!!! A wedding planning glass. I have first seen this over on Caitlin´s blog Southern Curls And Pearls. She got engaged about 5 months prior than me and posted a wedding post one day using this glass and I had to have it cause I think it is just the right mixture of funny and cute and it holds your rosé perfectly 😉

10 // a personalized hanger for your wedding dress
The moment I saw this I knew I needed this for my wedding dress. There couldn´t be a better hanger for it. Also my parents (the house we are all going to get ready) have a huge living room with a beautiful built in staircase so this is going be the perfect location to photograph my out of this world pretty wedding dress.

Are their any brides to be among my readers ? Is there anyhting specific wedding related you want to know?

As always thanks for stopping by. Take care. See you.

Wedding Wednesday – DIY rustic wind lights for a fall wedding….

jute edging amazon / wind lights nanu nana small and large / leaves nanu nana / hot glue gun amazon / sand Depot /

….

Hi guys and happy hump day,
(post contains affiliate links / Werbung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links)
the first half of the umcomfortable work week is over (although I stayed at home with a cold) and the weather is also getting better (after quite some thunderstorms and rain) so I have a lot of positivity going on here.

I am posting another Wedding Wednesday article today. Since we are going to do some of the decoration by ourselves – cause I couldn´t find anyting near my visions – I wanted to share this super easy DIY with you guys.

You might know that we are going to get married in the middle of September so I wanted a full fall themed wedding. I love fall. It is my favorite season and of course I wanted to get married during this time.

I have lots of orange, burgundy and pumpkins incorporated into the table decoration, the wedding cake and the flowers.

The main pieces you will need for this DIY are the windlights, candles, sand, the edging (I took 10 metres in jute with a white lace trim) and the leaves and of course a hot glue gun.

For glueing everything together I grabbed Simone, Florian´s sister and also a bridesmaid and we had a fun Friday afternoon with lots of glue eveywhere. This isn´t as easy as it seems.

But it worked and it is super easy. First of all I marked the glasses so that the edging would be in the same hight on evey wind light. Therefore I got a yellow removable overhead marker. Worked really good. After marking the glasses I cute the edging in the size we needed it. I have two types of glasses so there had to be longer and shorter bands of jute.

Then we started glueing. I have to admit I have never done anything with hot glue and I am also not very crafty so this was quite the challenge but I think it turned out very well. I really like them.

To make sure everybody gets the fall theme we also had some leaves in orange and burgundy and glued one onto each wind light.

The candles for the arrangements are all burgundy cause I just love this deep and rich fall color a lot.

I think they turned out pretty well and will hopefully look pretty on the dining tables.

Thanks for stopping by. Take care. See you.

Wedding Wednesday – our engagement photos…

….

Hi guys and happy Wedding Wednesday,
(post contains affiliate links / Werbung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links)
we finally shot our engagement photos two weeks ago and I love how they turned out. Seriously so pretty. The day was perfect. We meet in the morning around nine a.m. with our photographer (the same we shot our Christmas card picutres with). It was already warm and sunny and overall such a nice start of the day.

I know we got engaged in December but I wanted to have my engagement photos with flowers and a springish background and since there was still snow until about 6 weeks ago we couldn´t get them any earlier.

But I am really happy how they turned out. We are such good looking people. Just kidding 😉

I wanted to have a classic wedding related look for my photos so I choose this ivory white etui dress I got from the H&M sale section some time ago. The shoes I am wearing are my actual wedding shoes (read more about my choice here). I paired them with the dress cause they matched perfectly and I also have to break them in by time.

Florian was wearing a black dinner jacket from H&M and a matching button down to my dress from Olymp. We swear by their button downs. They are hands down the best you could get. Affordable, great quality and such a range to choose from. The rest was kept quite simple. Nice black shoes and pair of of dark denim jeans. Such a handsome hubby to be.

Thanks for stopping by.Take care. See you.

Wedding Wednesday – how to ask your best man and what to put in his box….

box Nanu Nana / button down Olymp / handkerchief Olymp / chocolate Jack Daniels amazon / whiskey stones amazon / suit and hat amazon / whiskey amazon / carpet Otto / card amazon

….

Hi
guys,
(post contains affiliate links / Werbung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links)

it
is Wednesday today so I am checking back with another Wedding
Wednesday post – I might as well say today is a little different
compared to my other posts.

Although
the bride is pretty special and really important at a wedding there
wouldn´t be a bride at all it there existed a matching groom.

So
I am gong to give the word to my fiancé Florian today and he is
going to tell you how to ask your best man and what to put in his box
to make him speechless.

….

Hi
this is Florian talking. I was asked to write a guest post for one of
the more manly themes regarding a wedding. There aren´t too many
things a man needs for the wedding. But these few things are very
important.

First
you need to find the perfect girl – check,
then
you need to find the right clothes for the wedding – check.
But
it’s also very important to have your best man standing by your side
for a wedding. This was a really easy decision for me. I chose my
dad.

Why
? That is pretty easy to explain.
We
have always had a special connection and enjoyed spending time
together. Not only is he my dad, most of the time he is more like a
best friend to me. We are sharing our passion for soccer, which means
we can talk about it all day long just ask Katie she knows. Also we
both are children at heart and make jokes at every possibility. My
dad and I don´t take life too serious but we are there for each
other when situations require it. So it is just natural I want him to
be my best man and spend this important day close by my side.
When
I saw how happy my dad was about the bridesmaid’s box my sister got I
knew that I had to give him something similar.
Inspired
by the cute boxes of Katie, I went for a gift box including a scratch
card. When you scratch the dots on the card, you see the words
„willst du mein Trauzeuge sein?“ which means „do you want to be
my best man?“. Above the scratchable dots there is a bow tie and my
dad´s name.
For
packaging I chose a big grey box and wrapped a bow tie around it.
Inside
the box are several gifts. First a really beautiful button down with
a matching handkerchief. I knew he loves the brand and the shirts
they make so this was easy
Since
my dad likes to sip a good old glas of whiskey I added some
neccessities to enjoy the drink. I also got him a fancy shaped glass
engraved with his new title – best man – and stones to keep his
whiskey cold. Of course the whiskey itself shouldn´t be missed and
let´s be honest how cute is the suit with the matching hat on top.
Last
but not least chocolate, of course. My dad really
likes
loves loves loves is
addicted to chocolate and couldn´t live without it, chocolate has to
be included in all of his gifts. So this bar is totally different
compared to ordinary chocolate. The chambers are filled with Jack
Daniels Tennesse Whiskey so there are two things the enjoys in one.
There
would have been many other items I could have included into his box
but I decided to go for his absolute favortites.
He
really loves his box and stores it at a place in the living room
where he can always see it.

….

Thank
you for sharing your thoughts and ideas on how to ask your best man.
So
I hope you could collect some inspiration. Maybe you this could be helpful for any future finacés.

Be sure to check back next week for a DIY on wedding table decor.

Thanks for stopping by. Take care. See you.
