In the few days between Christmas and NYE I find myself in such a strange state. I have absolutely no sense of time and usually not much to do so we stay home most of the days and play with our gifts. Now this year I have already started to take down Christmas decor and it feels fresh in our living room. Less cluttered (although toys are still everywhere I love when the shelves are clean and like before).

This look was from a little winter walk outside last week when there was still snow. I have to admit I am a little sad the snow was gone for Christmas but that´s just how it is.

Lug boots have become one of my closet favorites over the last year. They are easy to wear, versatile to style and great for cold Winter weather.

The whole look itself was cozy and warm for a day at home. A pair of mum jeans, a gray turtleneck and a bright red knitted cardigan have been great companions for a day full of cleaning and prepping for Christmas.

When you are going outside a scarf is always a great option to keep you warm on colder days but also to set a fashion statement and add interest to a look. Sunglasses are definitely optional in the Winter but it was so bright outside with the sun shining and all the snow so they were an absolute must.

NYE Outfit Inspo….

I have a huge smile on my face writing this cause we have absolutely no plans for NYE this year. Nothing. WE are going to stay home and make spinach dip and pulled beef and that will be it in terms for food. I coudln´t be happier about our food choices.

Normally I would cook a whole meal or bring some sides where we are invited but December hit us hard this year. We had our annual Christmas dinner with our friends at our house. After that we had RSV, Influenza and Covid and the day before yesterday our family Christmas Dinner with 4 courses all cooked by myself. I am just exhausted and happy to do nothing.

And also I am not a fan of NYE at all. In my opinion it is such a forced night to stay up until midnight and then the real party starts. Don´t care at all.

But I wanted to share this look with you I have worn on the 26th of December to a family lunch. It would be perfect for NYE, just the right amount of glam and drama.

What to wear to a German Advent Market (lots of Inspo from this years visits)…

….

Since Christmas is at the end of the week most of the advent markets are coming to an end (of course there are some which are open until the first week of January but the majority is not). I have always loved visiting the advent markets. The smell of the caramelized nuts, the string lights everywhere, the music and festive feelings. This is what really gets me into the Christmas spirit.

But of course there is a catch – they are all outside so most of the time it is really cold (and sometimes even snowing or raining). Throughout the years I may have mastered the way of dressing for the advent markets while still looking festive but keeping warm as well.

Number one thing is staying warm. You can not enjoy anything when you are cold and shaking believe me. It is not the place for pumps and lace. Wear it someplace else.

My number one shoe to wear outside in the Winter are my Ugg Boots. They have never disappointed me and probably won´t ever. Another great piece to wear are warm sweaters, so why not make it Christmas sweaters. They are festive and usually on the thicker side so you can easily let your coat open.

All of my Advent Market looks this year…

Velvet for Christmas Eve…

….

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

It is the season for velvet. It is soft, warm and luxe which makes it the perfect material for Christmas. The wrap shirt I have gotten has little silver sprinkles on it which adds to the festive character and also makes it super appropriate for New Years Eve too.

Usually I am all for dresses and skirts but creating a festive Christmas look including this pair of red wide leg pants was so much fun too. I am going to wear it on the second day of Christmas festivities.

There are so many options out there to choose from so I would say go for whatever you like to wear and if it is all sparkly and sequins I say wear that thang cause when if not on Christmas.
