This will be my last post of 2022. I can not believe that another year is over. It had huge ups like the birth of my second daughter and also came with lots of downs like sickness and death of family members but the new year is a new chance to change, get a new mindset and start all over cause that is how it works. We stand up and try again for a better year than we had before. But let´s not get too sentimental and talk about this outfit.

Chocolate brown was one of the surprise colors of the year and I personally think it was a huge hit cause you can find it everywhere. It is a super flattering shade of brown which works great on all skin tones and is pretty versatile too, cause it matches almost every other color. This was what we needed long ago. Another option to black and navy as a basic neutral color to build an outfit.

I have paired my choclate brown plaid scarf with an oversized knitted turtleneck and a faux leather pant. I am super happy that there are different cuts for faux leather pants as well now. The bucket bag has been my favorite find of the year. Super soft and luxurious looking for a fraction of a designer bag. Available in three more colors.

For outerwear I went with a pair of creme colored western booties and a beret. I love all my hats, caps, beanies etc. so you will find me wear one 99 % of Winter time. The oversized wool coat has been in my closet for years since my pregnancy with Emilia and is still a favorite all Winter long.

Happy New Year guys and see you soon.

Casual Winter Day Style…

cardigan SheIn / denim H&M / turtleneck H&M / sunglasses sixx / lug boots Pull & Bear / handbag TK Maxx

In the few days between Christmas and NYE I find myself in such a strange state. I have absolutely no sense of time and usually not much to do so we stay home most of the days and play with our gifts. Now this year I have already started to take down Christmas decor and it feels fresh in our living room. Less cluttered (although toys are still everywhere I love when the shelves are clean and like before).

This look was from a little winter walk outside last week when there was still snow. I have to admit I am a little sad the snow was gone for Christmas but that´s just how it is.

Lug boots have become one of my closet favorites over the last year. They are easy to wear, versatile to style and great for cold Winter weather.

The whole look itself was cozy and warm for a day at home. A pair of mum jeans, a gray turtleneck and a bright red knitted cardigan have been great companions for a day full of cleaning and prepping for Christmas.

When you are going outside a scarf is always a great option to keep you warm on colder days but also to set a fashion statement and add interest to a look. Sunglasses are definitely optional in the Winter but it was so bright outside with the sun shining and all the snow so they were an absolute must.

NYE Outfit Inspo….

I have a huge smile on my face writing this cause we have absolutely no plans for NYE this year. Nothing. WE are going to stay home and make spinach dip and pulled beef and that will be it in terms for food. I coudln´t be happier about our food choices.

Normally I would cook a whole meal or bring some sides where we are invited but December hit us hard this year. We had our annual Christmas dinner with our friends at our house. After that we had RSV, Influenza and Covid and the day before yesterday our family Christmas Dinner with 4 courses all cooked by myself. I am just exhausted and happy to do nothing.

And also I am not a fan of NYE at all. In my opinion it is such a forced night to stay up until midnight and then the real party starts. Don´t care at all.

But I wanted to share this look with you I have worn on the 26th of December to a family lunch. It would be perfect for NYE, just the right amount of glam and drama.

What to wear to a German Advent Market (lots of Inspo from this years visits)…

….

Since Christmas is at the end of the week most of the advent markets are coming to an end (of course there are some which are open until the first week of January but the majority is not). I have always loved visiting the advent markets. The smell of the caramelized nuts, the string lights everywhere, the music and festive feelings. This is what really gets me into the Christmas spirit.

But of course there is a catch – they are all outside so most of the time it is really cold (and sometimes even snowing or raining). Throughout the years I may have mastered the way of dressing for the advent markets while still looking festive but keeping warm as well.

Number one thing is staying warm. You can not enjoy anything when you are cold and shaking believe me. It is not the place for pumps and lace. Wear it someplace else.

My number one shoe to wear outside in the Winter are my Ugg Boots. They have never disappointed me and probably won´t ever. Another great piece to wear are warm sweaters, so why not make it Christmas sweaters. They are festive and usually on the thicker side so you can easily let your coat open.

All of my Advent Market looks this year…
