my husband´s vaction is over and we are back to business as usual but I am glad we did so much fun things. Since we had been very cautious last year we decided to untertake more day trips this year. My list is still long full of great day trips and fun things for Emilia to do.
Wearing a comfortable and cute outfit that matches your every need makes a trip even better. So how about a pair of highwaisted gingham shorts?! I mean gingham is the perfect Summer pattern and highwaisted shorts keep everything in place.
I still love my graphic shirts and try to incorporate them into as many outfits as I can. I absolutely love them to dress down a skirt as well but they do look pretty good with shorts too.
For shoes you could go with any pair you like. Sneakers, wedges, sandals – there are really no rules set in stone.
Are you a shorts gal? I only have about three pairs of shorts in my closet!
Summer hit us with a heat wave this week and there wasn´t a better time to bust out the Summer shoes. I am definitely a sneaker fan as of lately but these are just too hot to wear these days so I am glad I have such a great section of sandals in my closet.
I always loved the high heeled sandals but these aren´t as practical with a toddler running around but that doesn´t mean that there aren´t other cute options out there.
So let´s have a look at this years Summer shoe trends
woven sandals // This is the trend of the season and I adore it. I found a pair of woven sandals so nice I bought it twice. In black and white. Those are statement colors you can never go wrong with and the heel is pretty low and comfortable to walk in so I will get lots of use out of them.
block heeled sandals // If you aren´t super into high heels but still looking for a chic alternative for garden parties or weddings or date nights I would recommend a pair of block heeled sandals. The ones I got for the season are so pretty. The colorful pair with a bow on the front reminds me of a designer pair that sells for hundreds but these are under 70 Euro. The other pair I got has studs and is in the color blush. It is not fitting as much from my wardrobe as I had wished for but still cute and comfortable.
espadrilles // My number one summer shoe forever. I have been buying the same style over and over again the last few years and everytime a new color appears it goes straight into my cart. There is something so laid back and summery about this pair of espadrilles and I love that they are tied at the ankle (adds a feminine note).
bath slippers // To be honest I didn´t get the trend last year cause I could not imagine leaving the house in adidas bath slippers but after careful consideration and finding a rose gold pair with flowers and rhinestones on top I am willing to change my opinion. Have you tried the bath slipper trend already?
flat embellished sandals // One style that has been around since the antiquity are flat sandals, whether they are tied or not, have lace-ups or a small strap at the heel these are the classics. This is the easy pair you wished for. Always trendy, always on point and available in every option you could ever imagine.
Have you already shopped for Summer shoes? I know buying shoes isn´t everyones favorite but with all the beautiful options out there I would say it definitely gets easier.
here we are with another round up of #dailylooks. I have to be honest I never was a big fan of mirror selfies but I love my #reallifestyle outfits I can share with you. These kind of posts also always get lots of views so I think you are as fond of them as I am.
We had lots of water fun this week and overall since everything has finally opened up again I am smitten by all the possibilites of daily activities. My husband is at home next week and I have planned a ton of different day trips for us. Can not wait for Emilia to see all the different things.
I went to our line dance training for the first time in seven months. It is unbelievable that we have lived such a long time in isolation and now it is over and we finally and slowly get our freedom and our lives back.
On another note now that Summer hit us dresses need to be flowy and airy to keep you from sweating through everything. The cute denim I am wearing above is perfect for this. It is made from lyocell which is a very light denim like material.
A white and blue combo looks so maritime like you are on holiday in New England or on a boat. I definitely am wearing a lot more of blue and white in the Summer months than any other time of the year plus I have found myself reaching for sneakers a lot more often than prior years. Maybe it is because Emilia is walking and she is always on the go or Summer equals much more comfortable clothing for me.
Do you guys have any outfit preferences for Summer ? My only one is dresses.
