What to wear for NYE?

I am back with another NYE look today. I love sequins and velvet and all things glitter but to be honest all these materials aren´t made for everyday use so I figured why not create a look where all of the pieces can be worn and styled alone.

So I opted for a basic midi dress cause it is easy to style things around it. I got this one from amazon (they have about 7 different colors and I own six of them) which is available in a long and short sleeved version. It is under 20 and comes with prime shipping. The perfect dress for a bump but also super cute without.

To add some glamour to the look I went with a pair of fishnet tights – always adds some edge – and also a snake print blazer jacket. It has a satiny finish which makes it even more evening appropriate but you could also dress it down as easily.

This is the perfect NYE look if you want to get pieces you can wear year round and don´t have to wait for a special ocassion.

Snake Print is still a hit…

I hope your Christmas days have been great. We are back to normal around here which means getting groceries, running errands and doing blog stuff. My husband is still home from work and I am finally home from now until the baby comes and then 2 years from there.

The great after Christmas sales are going to start tomorrow and I am hoping to get some great deals on things I have my eyes on and also on some baby things I still need / want.

But let´s talk about snake print. Every year has its popular print and color and this year snake print has been everywhere. I personally love me some leopard print but warmed up to the reptile pattern pretty quick. Now I own quite a few pieces and I still think that snake print is here to stay.

It absolutely has the ability of loosening up or dressing up a whole look. It´s way you add it to the rest of your look.

For this outfit I went with plain colored pieces and added the print via accessories in this case my handbag. I also have a pair of snake print booties and a belt and several pieces of clothing.

it is the eve of the second Christmas holiday today which means the most magical feast of the year is almost over. I always can´t believe how quick the actual Christmas days are gone in comparison to how long we are preparing and decorating and gift shopping for it.

But now we are in the middle of the Winter with nothing to look forward to then spring (except you like NYE) and the warmer days.

Styles are getting automatically a little darker during Winter but that doesn´t have to mean that they are boring. I have worn this super cute look the other week and got a ton of compliments cause my lipstick totally matched my shirt and cardigan. I paired it with a black pencil skirt (which still fits, thanks to the invention of stretch) and burgundy colored booties. This has been one of my favorite non-christmassy styles so far. The lipstick is from Bare Minerals and called Bare Pro in the color Blackberry. It is a adorable burgundy shade with a matte finish and a long lasting touch.

My turtleneck and cardigan are from esmara, the Lidl discounter brand and they tend to have awesome and affordable fashionable pieces from time to time (collections are always limited but possibly longer available at their online store).

Do you guys have any plans for the days between Christmas and NYE ? We are tackling the mall tomorrow cause the sales have begun and I have my eyes on a few pieces. Hopefully it isn´t to crowded. Also starting with NYE blog posts soon for some dinner and table inspo.
