How I plan a week of daily outfits ahead…

I love to play with clothes. I brings me great joy to spend time in my closet and plan my weekly looks. And it is also something I have to do cause I am not a morning person and I can not for the life of me find something to wear in the mornings when it is not already laid out. Actually I started this while I was still in school cause otherwise I would run late everyday.

How I plan my outfits

I always start with one piece like a dress, a cardigan, a sweater, etc. and work my way around from there. For example I have a sweater I want to wear I have a look at the colors and decide what colored skirt or pants I want to pair with it. The moment I have the basic look I start with accessories like a scarf, a handbag, shoes and jewelry. After that I will decide which hair styles works best with my top and earrings.

The process is super simple and could be done in the mornings as well, but I just can´t do it.

Of course the current weather and our appointments play a huge role too. It is planning all the way which I love too. In my opinion I am wearing the most creative looks if they are planned upfront. No way of just winging it here.

Sweaters are my most used item of my closet at the moment. Of course it is still cold here in January and it would be the easiest solution but in my opinion it is also the most stylish. I haven´t always had this many sweaters but I learned to how to style them over the years so they won´t look boring in combination with other pieces and am very happy with the choices I make most of the time.

So this style with the little zipper is called a troyer. It was a hot piece in the 90´s but also gains more and more fans nowadays. It is an easy piece which doesn´t need much styling cause the zipper itself makes it really cool.

I have worn my zip sweater with an olive green bootcut leggings and an oversized black blazer jacket. The monogrammed chainstrap handbag and the cute blockheel pumps round up the whole look. I wanted to keep it on the casual and sophisticated side with this look cause the troyer really doesn´t need much to shine.

I am always warm even in Winter and I know for many people would this be a blessing but it also means I sweat very easily with all the big and warm jackets and coats out there so the no sleeves puffer vest trend is one of my favorites.

I have styled this outfit very casually for a day of errands. A comfy sweater, a cute scarf to fight of the wind and stay cozy. If you aren´t the biggest denim fan a navy or black pant would also work great. The hazelnut colored boots have been a favorite of mine for many years. The color just works with so many other.

The puffer vest itself still keeps me very warm and is super versatile to style. A real fashion talent.
