It is the most wonderful time of hte year and what makes it even more pretty – an amazing twinkling and glittering whimsical Christmas tree in your house. It makes it more homes and also adds to that special pre-Christmas feeling.
The Christmas tree is the heart of our home during Christmas time and every day I can not wait to light it up when it gets dark outside in the evenings.
There are several ways to decorate your tree and and I am sharing how I do it today as well as the items I am using. Our tree is from Fairy Trees and I have ordered it off of amazon. It is the flocked tree in 180 cm.
– first of all I put it together and fluff it out as much as possible / I am looking from different angles so I can find every area that still needs fluffing
– after that I vaccum cause the flocked trees loose a lot of artificial snow each year
– then I am putting the tree skirt under
– now it is time to decorate / I start with my ornaments
– followed by my garland (if I had a super long garland in one piece I would put the garland onto the tree before the ornaments put these are just pieces I drapped over in the front of the tree)
– now I am adding special ornaments like the pink glitter poinsettias and the glitter bows and the tree top
– the lights are the last thing I clip onto the tree and then I am ready to celebrate it

Buying little gifts and frills is one of my favorite things to do for Emilia cause she is always so amazed even by the smallest things like little figurines a piece of chocolate or stickers.
The advent calendar I got is the prettiest I have ever seen anywhere (you can buy it here – I have the XXL version). It looks like a huge pile of presents. Each one different in color and decoration but all equally pretty. This will we used for years and I can get Helena one as well when she is old enough. This type of advent calendar is great cause as the interests change you can adjust the little things you will be filling it.
She really gets it now that it helps counting down the days until Christmas Day. It is going to be so cute opening a door every morning seeing her excitement but I am still going to put it away every morning cause you never know with these nosy toddler!!
– Playmobil 123 or Duplo figurines (I have broken up little sets and divided it)
– Schleich animals
– stickers
– little Play-Doh´s (the confetti and glitter ones are super small and fit most doors)
– wooden food for play kitchen
– doll clothes / accessories (I have broken up an outfit with pants, shirts and shoes into three days)
– doll bottles or pacifiers
– little match box cars (for boys)
– other figurines they would love to play with (I got some from Peppa Pig as well)

We are shortly entering the most magical time of the year and of course we all would like to be ready early to enjoy as much of it as possible. With kids it is extra special cause you can see so much joy in their faces. With all the lights, the decor, the presents and everything else that Christmas time has to offer.
I am so looking forward of doing lots of Christmas related things with our older daugther cause she understands so much already and still is mesmerized by everything.
Now of course I am starting to decorate and shop early for Christmas because I want all of December for fun activities and not stressing over all the things that should be done.
Amazon is my number one place for almost everything so it shouldn´t be a surprise to you that I was looking there first for classic red Christmas decor. I got a few of the things in already and can not wait to show it to Emilia.
Red and Green is not only the classic Christmas color combo but will forever be my favorite. Although I have a blush and mint green color theme on my tree this year I went with vibrant Christmas red in our entry way and have not regretted it one minute.
Our tree is from Fairy Tree´s and we have had it for four years now and the quality is really great. I have never regretted getting one. It is the 180 cm.
Christmas mugs really are my week spot and while I haven´t gotten this cute gingerbread mug I got another one.
I got the Fall version of the pillows and the quality is pretty good. Nice colors and sturdy and I think the Christmas themed ones will be the same.
My favorite things to decorate for Christmas are trees. They are my equivalent to pumpkins. Let me tell you I have collected quite some bottle brush trees over the years. They always look great and are easy and affordable to get.
Last but not least are these super cute plaid ornaments. I got a double pack for a small green tree and I think they will look just fine.
