Somehow our little girl turned two this week. How can she be two ?? I remember the night she was born like it was yesterday holding her and looking into her wake and dark blue eyes. Time really is a thief. 

She is a sassy and active little lady always on the go and having fun with everything she does. Her favorite food in the world are strawberries and what more fitting than throwing her a strawberry themed birthday party in June – the month of the strawberry.

 

Very Berry Second Birthday Party

I had a lot of fun planning this party. There are lots of cute things to get regarding this theme. 

The Party Decor

I have gotten everything strawberry related I have found on the internet. Most of the pices are from Temu, SheIn and amazon. For the cake table I had a red sequin table cloth and a strawberry table runner. I have decorated it with golden candle holders holding red candles and a strawberry shaped vase I have stuffed with babies breath. 

For the photo corner I had red fring curtains, a Happy Birthday garland and two gorgeous strawberry shaped lanterns hanging from the sealing.

The big balloon arch makes the real statement. There are two simple things that really elevate party decor and that are ballons and flowers. I got a kit including the dotted ballons and the strawberry shaped ballons but you could easily just get different plain colored ballons and mix and match together as you like.

The Cake

Our birthday cake is mostly a mix from 2 to 6 cakes I have seen on Pinterest. I pick out the features I like best and text it our awesome cake guy. He can make all my cake dreams come true.

The top layer has been a chocolate and caramel cake with buttercream on the outside and the bottom layer has been a vanilla sponge with strawberries and fondant on the outside. 

I personally love a mixture of buttercream and fondant cause there is something for everyone. 

The Table Decor

For our table I went with a classic white table cloth and of course a strawberry table runner on top. I had little strawberry confetti I have put around the runner and a big basket with flowers in the middle.

How on earth is there always a mess somewhere. I have days where I definitely wonder where the messes are coming from cause I am trying so hard to prevent them and I am nearly done with organizing the whole home!!!!

This cabinet has been an eyesore since I have moved all things in there but I was just too busy to come around organizing it until Emilia searched for a specific cap and I have thought we lost it but found it two weeks later. 

In fact it is a very simple undertaking ticked of in under 15 minutes if you have everything you need. 

I already had two of the wicker baskets and got another two at JYSK. They fit perfectly and are only 11 Euro each, hold a ton and have a handle to pull out.

The tags are an old amazon find I have used in the girl´s room earlier. I didn´t need them much longer so I got some black and writable stickers on amazon and reused them. 

These are the tags and these are the sticker. Both are very affordable and hold up really well.

9 Shows to watch in the Summer….

We are heading straight into Summer and with all the great activites to do then we probably stay busy but that doesn´t mean people aren´t watching TV in the Summer months. 

I wanted to share nine shows with you guys that would be perfect to watch in the Summer months (in terms of fashion and locations and weather). 

9 shows to watch this Summer

Country Comfort

Haven´t watched this one yet but I really loved the trailer and I think it is a very fun and light summer show to watch. A country bar singer turns into a nanny of five. Who wouldn´t love a country show.

Surviving Summer

Not my favorite at all cause those snotty teenagers are a real handful but I loved the ocean views and all the surf scenes.

Lincoln Lawyer

The best lawyer show in my opinion. Just the right amount of excitement, mystery and drama plus the sleek outfits don´t hurt at all. 

One Piece

One of my favorite childhood shows. Of course it was still only animated back then but I was so excited when I heard that there will be a new show starring real people. Season one is all about getting the crew together and I just can not wait for season two and all of the ocean adventures.

Sweet Magnolias

I have always loved everything southern and this really is a gem of a show. The houses, the outfits, the hair and of course the southern mentality and hospitality. Can´t wait for the next season.

Griselda

Still not sure how I like it but it was not a very long show to watch. Only had a few episodes. I thought it was great how she built her empire until she got mad and turned herself in at the end. Very violent watch with lots of dead people and drugs but the true story of Griselda Blanco.

Selling the OC

I have started this a long time ago and was so over the drama at the end of season one but somehow gave it another chance and I am a few episodes into season two and like it a lot (at the moment, this can change very fast). The outfits are great and the houses with the ocean front views are just too die for. 

Selling Sunset

This has been my favorite show for a long time and I would have never thought that I will hate it this much at the end. It was great until season three but then everything took a turn for the worst. They all turned on each other. I am not even sure if there where house showings in season three cause things went down the drain so fast. The outfits got super slutty (I would never buy a house of a realtor looking like that – there is a very fine line between super stylish and sexy and what some of the girls are wearing).

The Summer I turned pretty

I loved the first season but wasn´t a fan of the second one. Too much anger and confusion. I loved the backdrops, the starring people, the awsome Summer moments and the dreamy houses. Hopefully season three picks up again and it will be better.

Hallway Make-Over – Wallpaper, Decor and Color…

It was definitely time to do something with our boring hallway. I have thought about it for months and I came to the conclusion that just some color wasn´t enough. It had to be wallpaper and a mirror with a wow factor right at the entrance of to our hallway.

Color Theme

We had a blue runner in the hallway and the whole decor was also very blue and silver and gray and white but to be honest I do not like gray anymore. It is just too much in this house. This has to change so I was looking for a wallpaper with a beige background. I had several in my cart but decided on the greenery one. I has different kinds of palm trees on it and looks superior in the halln äü

  

 

What I have changed

In fact I have changed everything except the furniture. The statement piece besides the gorgeous wallpaper is the wooden mirror. It hits the eye right when you enter the room. The decor also matches perfectly and if you look closely I have used an old picutre we had in the old office before. 

It was a very quick process to paint the wall and add the wallpaper. All in all it might have taken half a day but the impact on this little room is huge. It makes me just so happy seeing it this way everyday I come home.
