Happy Wednesday,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

how was your day? I got a color refresh today at the salon and am more than happy about my red hair. Other than that there wasn´t much today although it has been the most April day ever. We had rain, sun and thunderstorm and strong winds today which was totally crazy cause there was a new weather every half hour.

For the outfit – how cute are flower print pants. I bought these last year to wear postpartum and totally forgot about them but they have an elastic waistband and still fit.

One thing I love print pants for are all the different colors you can combine with them and that creates such a variety of looks and never gets old.

The way I styled it this time would probably be mom glam. I paired my flower print pants with a white blouse and a sage colored military jacket. Sage is huge this season and in my opinion it is a great color to wear into Summer. Since it wasn´t to warm and we went to the park I have worn golden plateau sneakers with it. I definitely loved this look a lot and it´s great to wear while chasing after your child cause everything was so comfortable and stretchy.

Going to review our meal kit delivery service Hello Fresh for you guys tomorrow. So if you are interested make sure to check back.

….

Good evening my make-up loving ladies,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

welcome to my new series – a full face of —. Since I love make-up and often try out new products I decided to start  a new series on the blog where I create a full face of make-up from one brand. I think this will be really funny and helpful cause we can have a look at a specific item from a variety of brands how it will actually look on the face.

So with no further ado let´s dive into. Oh one quick thing to add. I did not pick my favorite brand at first, I just got the idea while standing in front of the Maybelline counter and started right away. There are tons of drug store brands so we will be having fun with make-up all Summer long into Fall if not into Winter. Which means a great variety on make-up looks as the colors shift from season to season.

A full face of Maybelline…

Face Studio prime primer pore minimizing // I always love to put on a primer underneath my make-up cause my skin never feels smooth like after, but if you use to much it will start to crumble very soon. At least this one. It created an even surface where I needed one (around my nose) and I think it is a good price point.

Dream Radiant Liquid in 01 Natural Ivory // Trying a new foundation is never easy for me. I usually stick with the ones I have and they work great for me so this category is definitely the hardest for me in terms of longwear and color. The color I choose was perfect for my skin so that was a win and I also though it held up really well without drying my skin out. One of the main ingredients is hyaluronic acid so this definitely helps. It is a nice foundation I would use for at home wear so I do not have to use my expensive ones for such mundane days but you can definitely wear it out and about. It has medium coverage and from what I tried it is not buildable. It will look like too much pretty fast. Other than that the Dream Radiant foundation is totally fine.

Fit me matte + poreless powder in 120 Classic Ivory // This powder so reminds me of my teenage years. It was my number one powder I used cause it was so affordable and I still like it. Color 120 Classic Ivory worked very well as a finish for my skintone.

Maybelline Fit me concealer in 20 // It was alright but I am very picky with my concealer to say the least (did not like the shape tape either and that is a worldwide favorite). I might choose a lighter shade next time cause it totally blended in with the shape of my foundation and I like to brighten up my under area as well as hide dark circles.

Fit me blush in 35 Coral // Blushes are still great. I have been using Maybelline Fit me blushes for year (I do have quite the color collection). The coral color looks very light and airy and adds a fresh touch to your cheeks. Perfect for Spring.

Master strobing stick cream highlighter // The first cream highlighter I have ever used and I honestly liked it. The application was so easy and it is very intense so little goes a long way. There are two shades available, this is the rose one. I always stayed away from cream highlighter cause I was told when you have oily skin this will only make your skin shine more but I did not experience this at all.

Total Temptation mascara // I have my go-to mascaras and normally I do not switch them but I was pleasantly surprised about the Maybelline mascara. The brush was great to apply the mascara and it did not smudge or run so overall a great product plus it adds tons of volume.

Master Shape brow pencil in Dark Blonde // To be honest I hate it. It is super soft and I have to sharpen it after every use cause there is not tip left to use and it feels so sticky when I apply it to my brows. This was my least favorite product from the whole make-up look.

Superstay Matte Ink in 60 Poet // Normally I love the Superstay Matte Ink glosses and I probably own ten different colors but this one was hard to work with. Maybe it was because of the light color but it cracked after a few hours and looked horrible on my lips. So when you are out and about you can not just wipe it off and reapplying doesn´t do the trick either. I haven´t had this problem with any other color (but they are all more vibrant or darker). Definitely not going to use it again.

Eyeshadow palette Nudes of New York // To be honest I am usually not an eyeshadow girl. I own a ton of palettes because I love to look at all the beautiful sparkly colors but when it comes to applying I go through phases. Some weeks I apply my eyeshadow everyday and then somehow I forget about it cause it ended up in my drawer. The palette has a good variety of shades so you can get many different eyeshadow looks out of it from casual to dramatic. Price point is also good but in my opinion the powder isn´t as pressed as in other palettes so you don´t get too much on your eyeshadow brush and it won´t come off as pigmented as it shows in the palette. Maybe that is just my opinion cause I have mainly been using the Coastal Scents eyeshadow palettes for over a decade now and they are awesome to apply plus pigmentation is wild. This is a neutral product for me but can absolutely be a winner for someone else.

Lasting Fix setting spray // I only use the MAC setting sprays so compared to those I didn´t like this one at all. In my opinion it doesn´t have a matte finish and doesn´t do anything for my make-up.

Happy Monday you guys,

(post contains affiliate Links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

how beautiful is this amazing tree in the background. We found it last week while we were looking for places that would look Spring enough to shoot and this one was perfect and it also matched my sweater so great.

I have never worn so much blush and rose hues since I dyed my hair red and I love it. Pastells look gorgeous with my new hair color.

The blush pleated midi skirt I am wearing in this post made his appearances quite a few times on the blog but I thought it should have its own blog post.

If you are following me for a while you might have noticed that I love pleated skirts. There is something about the material and how it moves while you are moving. So elegant and ladylike. To tone it down a little I went with this navy blue sweater. And how fitting are the blossoms on it? Overall it was a very blush look and you definitely need to like the color but it is also super springy and I like that the tree is in the background in every picture.

We had a super rough night last night and I hope she will be sleeping better today cause I have some errands to run tomorrow and can not be as tired as today. But I was very productive too. Updated our living room with two accent chairs (check out stories if you want to see) plus I planted my hydrangeas outside.

See you tomorrow to play with some make-up.

My Amazon Buys – January….

….

Happy Sunday  you guys,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

I hope you had a nice weekend so far. I wanted to share another Amazon buys round-up with you today (and yes January is correct). Somehow I stopped to share my finds last year cause I was so busy with all the holidays so I totally forgort about this.

But here we are again and let´s dive in. Everything is linked as always at the end of the post.

Amazon Buys January 21

Pack of 7 pairs of earrings // To be honest this wasn´t the best set of earrings. It is cute and totally Valentine´s Day themed but the one pair I had so much hope in (the heart shaped earrings with the white „pearls“ broke after the first use). All of the other pairs are fine and especially the velvet pieces are made of good quality. The whole set is under ten so there wasn´t much to expect though.

Peppa Pig Best Friends book // Got this book for Emilia cause she loves pigs and Peppa Pig is so cute. She liked it a lot and still loves to look at it and lift the flaps. It is sturdier than I thought, thankfully.

I love you, little one flap book // If you looked carefully you remember this being in Emilia´s Valentine´s Day basket. It is the perfect little book to give to babies. The pages are very thick. It contains lot´s of sweet animals and is overall a very cute book.

Silicone bips // These are self-explanatory. We definitely have a messy eater and these bips have caught so much food before it falls on the floor. Also they are very easy to clean and so affordable.

Pill container // I have a hard time with taking my pills each day so this container definitely made it easier for me. I know now what I still have to take and what is already gone for the day.

Wrapping paper organizer // I store all of my wrapping paper in one corner of our pantry and after Christmas it was the biggest mess. At some point I stuck them all into a bucket. I saw this at someone´s Insta story but I can not remember who and ordered one immediately. It fits about 10 rolls of wrapping paper which is great cause now everything is stored away thoroughly.

Baby girl hair clip in bows // I ordered the same pieces as headbands months ago but need clips now cause the she doesn´t like hair bands in her hair anymore. Makes me really sad but on the other hand these are so cute as well.

Birthday Girl headband // A little something for me on my birthday since we weren´t able to do anything. Also comes in silver and with a sash (but I threw the sash away).

Golden candles // Have never seen more beautiful candles for a birthday cake than these twisted golden candles. Unfortunately they arrived late so I will be using them next year.

Christmas ornament container // I have collected so many important and unique ornaments so I wanted to store them separately from the rest of the ornaments and I ordered this container. It comes with a extra divider for the inside of your box to store your delicate memorabilia safe until next year.

Vitamins // I have shared everything about the vitamins I take and why and where I got them specifically in this post.

And that´s it for another whole month of Amazon finds. Amazon always has been my go-to for all kinds of things I would not know where to get else but the last year it has become even more important cause shops are still closed but life goes.

See you next week for lots of Spring content. We shot some adorable looks on the weekend.
