What´s new in my beauty cabinet – September…

….

A huge hello to all of my make-up addicted readers

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

and welcome to another round of what´s new in my beauty cabinet covering the month of September. If you are new here I am sharing what products I have tried/tested once a month and my honest opinion. I love to get beauty products and find new innovative items / brands in the beauty section and test them. Make-up still is my highlight but I love new and innovative skincare as well. Especially what makes me look younger and clears my skin.

Clinique take the day off cleansing balm // It is good and does the job but in terms of smell, consistency and smoothness the Biotherm face balm is ways better.

Huda Beauty Legit Lashes mascara // To be honest I am not big into mascaras. I have used the essence brand forever but I have only heard and read great things about the Legit Lashes mascara. It is double sided and adds awesome color, volume and length. The mascara is a little pricey but to be honest it is worth every penny.

deep sleep pillow spray // If you are having trouble falling asleep try this scented spray on your pillow. I spreads the calming scent of lavender all over and helps you fall asleep faster. I have had trouble falling asleep at night for a long time and I really think it helps. I would give it a try.

elf poreless primer // Leaves the most amazing smoothest silkiest feeling on your skin. I have never had a primer that felt this good and it is only 7 bucks.

Pixi Overnight Glow Serum // I have added this serum to my nighttime routine. It holds lots of vitamin C to add that great glow to your skin. Best is that it works overnight.

beautyblender // I have used the blender from Real Techniques and loved it a lot so I wanted to try the real beautyblender and to be honest I do not like it at all. It has a harsh surface and it sucks up way to much foundation if you ask me I´d rather save my money on that.

Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Powder // I got this as an undereye powder but the color is too dark for that kind of use (got a medium and what was I thinking). So now I am using it for full face coverage and dang this product is good. I mean really good. It goes on very smoothly, has awesome coverage and stays mat as long as needed. To be honest the powder is really expensive but holds up great.

Sephora #lipstories in color Palm Street // I love the #lipstories lipsticks and have gotten plenty over the years. The mate formula is amazing (which means supermate) and goes on very smooth. It holds up well throughout the day as well. The color Palm Street is a brown shade with a red undertone. Perfect for Fall.

Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick Coffee Edition // I got two of the 4 available colors and to be honest these are the best ones available. Hazelnut Hypnotizer is a pretty blush color with a brown undertone. Cocoa Connoisseur is the color I am wearing above. It is a deep and rich mahagony color that fits the season so well.

So looking back this was a great month in all things beauty. Only one miss. Did you try any of the above?

Wow I haven´t done a beauty post in a long time but to be honest there hasn´t been much that caught my eye the last two months. I almost exlusively stocked up on things I have already owned and other than that I didn´t need anything.

But times and needs are changing and after browsing the beauty websites I was finally in the mood for new things. I also have a bunch of things on my current wishlist plus I had been to Sephora this week and got some new goodies.

What´s new in my beauty cabinet ?

NARS matte lipstick //  My first NARS lipstick ever and I went for the color Rouge Insolent. It is quite the bright red and perfect for Summer or to brighten up your look. I would say the color is very similar to MAC Lady Danger. The lipstick has a matte texture and to be honest I liked it right away.

MAC Ruby Woo lipstick and liner // I have a ton of red lipsticks but after years of reading what a classic red MAC Ruby Woo is and how gorgeous is looks on every skin type plus it makes your teeth look whiter cause it´s got a blue undertone I finally caved and got it. It has become a quick favorite of mine and I love that the liner is the absolute same color than the lipstick.

Too Faced Tutti Frutti blush // I got the papaya flavor and the blush is so cool. I never had anything from Too Faced so this darling blush was a cute surprise. It smells awesome – like a fresh bowl of fruit plus the packaging looks so luxe and colorful. All of their products are created with such an eye for detail. This definitely wasn´t my last piece of their brand. The blush contains a beautiful corally shade and a golden bronzer. You can mix it together or apply it single, both looks great.

elf Illuminating Mist and Set spray // My local drug store finally carries elf products and I couldn´t be happier. The brand has definitely improved over the last couple years. I was so happy I got a bunch of things but haven´t tried everything yet which is why I am only sharing two different prodcuts with you today. I have used the face mist several times over my finished make-up to set it and I really liked it. In my opinion my skin stayed matte a lot longer than usual which is great for hot days plus it doesn´t smell gross and it is super affordable for under 10 Euro.

elf Liquid Matte Lipstick // Lip products are my favorite make-up article but I am sure by reading my blog you already know that. So no wonder I had to try the liquid lipsticks from elf. I have been into liquid lipsticks but sometimes I tend to dry out my lips and then the color cracks and it looks really trahsy. I hate when this happens. The elf Liquid Matte Lipstick holds up really well and doesn´t dry my lips at all. I have used it with and without a primer and it was fine either way. The colors are highly pigmented and the price is great for the prodcut. I got color Mauvelous -a matte rosewood with a purply finish and Praline – a dark nude great for Fall.

Face sponge // I recently found these little face sponges and have been using them religiously in my evening routine. I love the soft feel on my skin and they take of everything in combination with my cleansing balm plus they have a scrubing effect to take of dead skin cells. You can wash them and reuse the sponges.

Bath & Body Works body cream and body scrub // This set was given to me by one of my best friends and let me tell you the smell is amazing. The scent is a mixture of eucalyptus and spearmint and stays on your skin for a long time plus it has a great calming effect. Perfect if you are having a migraine or a headache.

I really missed writting this kind of post for you and this seems to be a real good one as all of the products I got were great hits.

Be sure to check back at the end of September when I am reviewing my Sephora buys.

5 Minute Bronzed and Easy Summer Make-Up…

….

Happy Friday you guys,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

I am just checking in with a quick make-up look I´ve been wearing fife out of seven days recently. It is super easy to apply, also quick and perfect for Summer days plus it definitely fits the summery feel.

There are only 6 prodcuts you need (seven if you end up with fake lashes like I did but that´s is totally optional) to achive this simple Summer beauty look.

Catrice 1 Minute Face Perfector // The perfect primer to make your skin look flawless. Only available in one shade but

Maybelline Superstay Powder in color 21 Nude // Great prodcut to hold up in the Summer heat as it is longlasting and waterproof plus it holds up great under a mask since this is our new normal and needs to be considered as well.

Urban Decay Perversion Mascara // Ordered this some time ago and totally love the volume and lenght it gives my upper lashes. Great mascara and I am really picky with mascaras.

MAC Fling Eyebrow Pencil // My ride or die eyebrow pencil.

E.L.F bronzer // Got this for many years now so it still has the old packaging but the colors are the same.

Nars lipstick in color Rouge Insolent // Cute and bright Summer color. It is more a corally red and definitely works in the hotter months.

Ardell lashes style Demi Black 120 // Added this lashes to the style but it´s totally optional as it will take longer than five minutes then but I still had them on so I am linking them here as well.

It will only take you five minutes to apply to look put together and slightly tanned and bronzed. Perfect for the office if you are not WFH or even for a date night out. The red lipstick really makes the look pop and the bronzed cheeks add such a vacation flair to it.

Check back tomorrow if you are interested in another round of my #closetchallenge.

….

Happy Thursday my lovely ladies,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate LInks-not sponsored)

let´s talk tanning today. We are heading towards the end of Summer and you might think by now I would have a slight tan of my own but I don´t. I have been more outside than ever because I am home with our baby plus we have a blow up pool but I am still pale over here not to say white, snow white.

I have tried different self tanner but to be honest I was staying away as long as possible to be more specific until this year. Do you remember the tanning lotions that came out way back when we where teenager? They were impossible to apply evenly all over so there was always a spot where your natural skin color still existed and the selection has been more than poor. With this still in the back of my mind I dreaded using self tanner for a long time but I have found a great alternative – the Vita Liberata Body Blur.

What is it and what does it?

Bacically it is a foundation for your skin. It colors your skin and definitely blurs out little bumps and bruises plus the body blur leaves a smooth and shiny finish thanks to shea butter as ingredient. It is supposed to hold up to 24 hours.

You can apply it with your hands or a make-up brush but I used a self tanner mitten to apply it as evenly as possible. I got the color Latte Light and it definitely looks still natural on my skin but I think I could also have gone one shade darker.

I liked it a lot as it doesn´t rub off on the clothing plus it survived half an hour in the blow up pool. It definitely is a great alternative to a actual self tanner or a spray tan. I would not recommend to use it daily but it is great for events where you want to look good from head to toe. Although it is a little pricey costing 35 Euro it absolutely beats being out in the sun and getting burned.

Have you already tried it as it is not new ? Did you like it?
