Fake Lashes #2 – update on tools and reviewing new styles…

….

Happy Tuesday sweet friends,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

here we are again with another lash review. I can´t believe I have tried so many different styles already but to be honest as great as many of them are I am always gravitating to my favorites which are Harley and Primrose. You can read more abou them here.

I have very short lashes and am not used to my eyes without lashes. I had lash extensions for a very short amount of time. Only two months. I had them made a few weeks before Emilia´s birth but unfortunately the pandemic crossed my way and all of the lashes fell out. After everything opended up again I wasn´t able to sit for almost three hours with a newborn so that fell short.

Fake Lashes Part 2

Red Cherry – style Trace

Price: 3,95 €

I actually had these for a long time but never put them on but cause they seem huge but if you have a special event or are just here for the drama these are perfect.

human hair, clear silicone band, definitely here for the drama, great to wear with or without additional mascara

Ardell – style Baby Wispies

Price: 5, 00 €

clear silicone band, short but thick, these are your everyday lashes, very natural looking

 Kiss – style Ritzy

Price: 5,95 €

clear silicone band, tapered end, thick, these would be in the middle for me – nto to dramatic but not to short either, a glue is included here but I don´t like it – always end up using my favorite

Catrice – style Red

Price: 3,99 €

can´t share a style name here cause Catrice only offers different colored boxes, the lashes are definitley longer than your usual but super dainty, great for work or everyday styling, very affordable, hold up very well, clear silicone band

Red Cherry – style Balencia

Price: 3,95 Euro

they look huge but they are spread pretty thin so they aren´t overwhelming at all, maybe not your everday lashes but still cute and more on the natural side
To be honest I liked all of them and might get them again from time to time but my ride or die lashes are still the ones I shared in my lash review #1.

Lipstick Dupes #1…

….

Happy Hump Day you guys,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

I just love my lipsticks. Even stupid Covid could not keep me from wearing lipstick at home while #selfdistancing and also not from wearing my beloved lipsticks when heading out somewhere and wearing a mask (which let´s be honest is pretty much everywhere these days). I have all kinds of brands and colors and sometimes I come across a color in my drawer that is pretty similar or even the same to another one but less expensive. To be honest this happended quite often, especially after organizing my lipstick drawer and so I went on the search for „pairs“.

This post is in particular interesting if you don´t want to spend a fortune on a lipstick. MAC is pretty expensive as well as the luxury brands Charlotte Tilbury and YSL. I understand it completelty if you are not willing to pay 30 Euro and up for a lipstick especially if you aren´t wearing it all the time so I came up with this lipstick dupe blog post. I have found quite many similar colors so I am going to share another post very soon. I thought splitting it up would be easier cause to much input can be so overwhelming and just annoying.

MAC Matte Persistence // L´Oréal Color Riche Ultra Matte No Cage

Charlotte Tillbury Pillow Talk // MAC Velvet Teddy // Love Lip Affair in 501 Gesine´s Rosewood

L´Oréal Color Riche Matte in 640 Erotique // e.l.f liquid matte lipstick in Tea Rose  // YSL Rouge Pur Couture in 92 Rosewood Supreme

e.l.f liquid matte lipstick  in praline // MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolor in Burnt Spice

These have been all the nude and pinky nude colors I have found so far. The next lipstick dupe post will be a mixed version. See you soon.

Happy Monday,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

it definitely is a tough one today. Emilia didn´t sleep very well so I needed all the coffee and some ice rolling today. The ice roller is such a great and inexpensive tool and there are days in everyone´s life I am sure you´ll need one. I got mine a few years a go after Hayley from Blondie in the City raved about it a lot and I have never needed it more since I had Emilia. I mean she mostly is a good sleeper but some days are just jinxed.

So…

What are the benefits of ice rolling

Ice rolling has several benefits that shouldn´t be missed because they are so easy to achive plus the ice roller is only about 10 Euro and definitely brings great things with it. So here are the awesome benefits I was talking about:

 – ice rolling reduces swelling (much needed after hard nights)

 – boosts circulation which is helping to restore cells

 – can instantly reduce redness

 – can shrink the size of your pores

 – can calm inflammation

 – helps to keep my headache at a minimum (at least for me but it is worth a try if you get really strong migraines)

I definitely use it a lot these days. I keep it in my fridge cause it gets uncomfortably cold in the freezer plus it doesn´t roll as smooth when the plastic gets to cold.

Hopefully we get more sleep tonight, so see you tomorrow.

Happy Monday to all of my beautfiul readers,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

I wanted to talk about about a beauty product today which has had the biggest hype for the longest time and I know I might be late to the game but I had my ups and downs with it and wanted to make sure to try everything before sharing an honest review with you guys. The product I am talking about is the Shape Tape concealer from Tarte.

What is the Shape Tape?

The Shape Tape is a concealer by Tarte. It is cruel free, dermatology tested, waterproof with 16 hour wear and so much more. It is 27 Euro which is much for a concealer but I was curious cause so many people raved about it – a lot.

Coverage

The coverage of the product is amazing. I am shade 12 N fair neutral and it fit´s my skin perfectly. Makes the areas I apply it to appear a lot lighter but doesn´t look excessive light. A little goes a long way too which is always great for expensive make-up products.

Longevity

So now this is the part that is not convincing myself. I have tried everything. Applying the concealer on its own, with facial oil, with face cream, with a sponge and a brush and of course with fingers, under and over my foundation but I have never been happy. After some time it is getting REALLY dry and looking so cakey plus it is somehow gathering in the fine line under my eyes. I hate it when my make-up does this and nothing won´t work either.

Conclusion

To be honest I think it is a great product and I wanted to make it work so bad but it is just not happening for me. Maybe it is my foundation or my skin I really can´t figure it out.

Have you been using the Shape Tape? I would love to know what you think about it!!
