Let us recap this more than joyous ocassion cause it definitely deserves a permanent spot on my blog and in my life. Two weekends ago we celebrated my little daughter´s first birthday and I was so happy but equally sad. Every other mama probably knows what I am talking about. Plus I never thought I could use the term the days are long but the years are short and know exactly what it´s meant to mean.

I have shared a ton of cute birthday themes for first birthday parties and went with the Bee Day theme. It is very cute summery birthday party theme and turned out amazing.

First Bee Day Party

The Cake

My number one source for birthday ideas is Pinterest so I was browsing First Bee Day Cakes and screenshoted about 20 of them only to pick my favorite bits of every one and put it together into one big super cute cake. The top had to look like the bee hive itself cause I thought it was just a gorgeous idea. The top is covered in buttercream and the cake inside was chocolate. So so good.

The cake underneath has been vanilla biscuit and strawberry buttercream covered in bright yellow fondant. The daisies and the little fondant bees make it even more pretty. Almost too pretty to eat but we did and it was delicious.

The High Chair

We got a little smash cake for Helena to dive right in but she was very hesitant and did not start eating until we gave her a fork. What a well behaved little girl. After that she was snacking away on the cake and seemed to enjoy it a lot. I have found the sweetest ONE banner on amazon US and although it took a little longer to get to us it was perfect. The black fringe curtain plus the little balloon arch and the big bee balloon completed the whole backdrop.

The Adult´s Table

The adults table included all the things it needed plus some decor to incorporate the theme like the little beehives and a huge flower centerpiece.

Party Theme Ideas for a First Birthday…

….

(post contains links to Pinterest/Werbung/Markennennung/Markenerkennung/Partnerlinks-not sponsored)

I just can´t believe my little girl is turning one soon. CAN´T BELIEVE IT!!! ONE YEAR !!!!

The day I took her home from the hospital is still so very clear to me and now she is crawling and standing and walking very soon and just the sunshine of our every day.

I have thrown three birthday parties for Emilia already and it is the most fun for me to throw a themed party. In another live I probably would become a kid´s party planner.

So Emilia´s first birthday party was Minnie Mouse but of course I wanted something different for our little girl so I sourced Pinterest and let me tell you there are thousands of great ideas. Really hard to pick one cause normally babies this little don´t have much of a preference but I have found one and am very happy with my choice and of course I am looking forward to putting it all together.

My Daughter´s Third Birthday Party – Gabby´s Dollhouse Theme…

….

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

It was our daughter´s third birthday last week and it was the first year she fully grasped what was happening so I decided to let her choose the theme of her birthday party and she went with Gabby´s Dollhouse. It is a tv show on Netflix with a girl living in a dollhouse with a bunch of different cats. Each of them has its own strenght like music, baking, crafts and so much more. I personally think it is a very cute kids show and was pleased she picked out this one.

The Cake Table

I went all crazy for this area and I loved it. Birthday decor should be over the top as well as all over the place. I made a huge balloon arch to throne over the cake table. I always start with the theme and colors first so I browsed through amazon and found the perfect Gabby´s Dollhouse themed balloons. To make the arch a lot fuller I ordered a bunch of unthemed balloons in the right colors as well as a huge purple 3 to incorporate into the arch.

Since the color of our wall did not blend in very nicely with the other colors I got these silver fringe curtains to put behind the table and under the arch and it worked out really well. I definitely liked how it turned out and it added a lot of glitter and dramatic effect to the whole set-up.

The garland has been included in the set of balloons and I worked it into the wall decor. Now since the hanging decor has been finished I moved on to the table. The heart of the table would be the cake so I placed it in the center and onto a purple sequin table cloth and worked my way around. Aren´t sequins just the perfect addition to add sparkle. I love it and use my sequin pieces at every possible event. Gathered quite the collection over the years.

We had a Gabby´s Dollhouse themed cake on her actual birthday. I did not get the same cake for the kids party cause the kids aren´t to fond of the fondant in my opinion. So my MIL made a super cute cat cake and I added some cupcakes into the mix. Overall this was the best decision and it worked out great.

The Grown-Up Table

I have kept the grown-up area pretty simple cause first of all I did not want to take away the focus from the main area and also the parents did not care as much as the little ones. I went with confetti in the matching colors and put it onto the tablecloth like a table runner. I wanted to sprinkle it between the dishes at first but this was a much better idea cause there was not one piece lying on the floor after everyone was gone. The centerpiece of the table has been a huge bouquet of purple tulips. Overall I like the space very much that way. I looked like it belonged to the party but wasn´t too overwhelming.

The Kids Table + Goodie Bags

I made it as easy as possible for the kids table so I got everything made of plastic or paper and threw it all out after the party ended. The Gabby´s Dollhouse paper plated had been a huge hit. I added paper cups and plastic forks and called it a day.

The gift bags got a little more attention (going to share a reel with the inside as well). I decided to go with actual bags from amazon and was very happy that I did not take boxes although the bag were a little smaller than I thought. Nevertheless I made it work and was very pleased with the outcome.

Inside the Gift Bags

Of course the coloring pages had been all Gabby´s Dollhouse themed.

All the Details for Emilia´s “Farmtastic” Second Birthday Party…

….

Kid´s birthday party planning is definitely my thing. When I go on Pinterest to get some inspo on themes I could definitely browse on there for hours and hours. There are so many cute themes for little girls which makes it super hard to choose from. Last year our theme was Minnie Mouse – for Emila´s First Birthday Party – and this year we went with a farm theme cause the loves all of the farm animal books and visit the ducks and chickens at her grandma´s place.

So after I have a party theme I always start to browse amazon for decor. It is easy cause there is everything in one place and you can search easily but there are plenty of other shops I come back and have a look for party decor.

The theme for Emilia´s second birthday party has been “Farmtastic”. She has been loving all things farm lately and I thought it would be a cute theme for her second birthday. She loved all the farm animals I incorporated into the decor and also the cake. It is amazing to watch her and see how much joy she gets. We only celebrated with our family cause I have been too sick to make a birthday party with lots of kids happen but it was fine with her, also cause she didn´t know better.

So for the set-up, I went with a balloon arch as the center piece of the table in the theme colors blush, pink, white and some very cute black and white balloons with an all over cow print. The table cloth was all pink and white gingham covered with lots of black and white accents. I definitely loved how our little farm scene turned out.

We got the cake from a small bakery nearby (they did all of our cakes so far) and it was magnificent like the last time. It turned out super cute with the cow print, the little barn and all the farm animals.
