Casual Saturday # 41 – life lately and #lookoftheday ´s….
Casual Saturday #40…
….
The weekend is finally here and I couldn´t be any happier. The last couple days have been filled with nothing but distraction and appointments so I wasn´t able to get anything done at home and that always bothers me. A lot. But I had a free day yesterday and got it all done so my chi is restored and I am happy about what the weekend brings for us.
Eating:
On Tuesday we burried my great aunt and after that all of the relatives went to a typical Bavarian restaurant called – Spitalgarten – in Regensburg. I am not a huge fan of the native kitchen but I have no complaint here. I had fried potatoes with two pieces of meat filled with different ingredients. One was mediterranean filled with mozarella cheese and dried tomatoes and the other one was filled with swiss cheese and ham. Topped with cranberries it was a delicious lunch but it really is not diet food.
Yesterday we headed out with a befriended couple for dinner. We got Sushi at a place we have been many times but I think I have never told you about it here. It is called Oasia and I think it opened about 2 years ago. We had been there several times and always loved it. You can order your sushi rolls via IPad and I think this is so futuristic. The food is made fresh the minute you order it and comes to your place about 10 minutes later. They are super quick and also super friendly.
Also we went to Dean & David´s the week before and had a delicious and healthy chicken bowl. Really good with a ton of fresh and healthy ingredients. Also the chicken caesar salad is a hit.
Shopping:
I got some things I already ordered for our trip to Hamburg. Maybe too soon but I don´t think so because sales are in its full bloom and you can also shop non-winter pieces. These are the embodiment of Chanel class and sophistication but for a fraction of the prize and I also got a pair of sneakers for our trip but since I don´t do no heel I got these platform leopard print sneakers from SheIn which are adorable. Another piece I got are these white jeans from Mango. They have a wider leg and they are also high-waisted so what is not to love about them.
Watching:
We started and finished YOU within this week. In my opinion it is really thrilling and I got hooked from episode 1. You really start to like him a lot more than her, although he is the crazy stalker guy and she the victim. Can´t wait until season 2.
There is also one new episode of Riverdale every Thurday so this really puts my patience to test but . We are also still watching Supernatural (Season 2 now) and started the 11th season of Big Bang Theory.
I am wishing all of you a nice weekend. See you on Monday.
Casual Saturday #39 – my birthday week + at the bowling centre…
….
Hi guys
and happy weekend to all of you. I am checking in today for another weekly round-up so be sure to grab your fresh cup of coffee and stay with me.
Activities:
Overall through the winter time I get very lazy regarding in times of going out and doing a lot of stuff outside the house. It is just too cold and always dark and it whether snows or rains so not really nice to be out on the street. But despite all the things (and really all of them happended in that one night) we went out last Saturday to a bowling centre with a befriended couple and it was so much fun. We weren´t that bad at all but we really didn´t play to win. Just for fun. After two hours and three rounds of bowling (and upcoming signs of fatigue and hunger) we headed to a nearby restaurant (the Beach House). I have written about this before and they serve – at least in my opinion – the best Ceasar Salad I have found so far. We really enjoyed the nice evening.
On my birthday on Tuesday we went out to have my annual birthday dinner at my favorite restaurant (Tiziano) and had a very nice evening. I got some very nice presents and had a great meal and overall it was a great day. You can read my birthday post including 29 random and personal facts here.
Shopping:
I haven´t gotten too much this week but since I am in full Valentine´s Day mode everything is whether pink or read or heart shaped/patterned. Just can´t help it. It is one of my favorite holidays of the year. Asos has quite the range of hear patterned pieces like this very Moshino like sweater and these cute pair of heart earrings.
Drinking:
Due to all the festivities (Christmas, New Years and my birthday) of the last weeks we have been drinking lots of champagne. Moet & Chandon is by far my favorite. We are usually keeping one bottle at home for a celebratory event but I mostly drink the more inexpensive version called Freixent as I also really enjoy the taste and they have a lot of different ones.
Watching:
Went on with Supernatural but only saw about 2 more episodes. Also we finished season 2 of Designated Survivor and I am not quite sure if I want to start with YOU. It is super hyped but I have heard positive and negative opinions about it so I am really not sure if I want to waist my time with it (haven´t even read one book in the whole month of December).
Sporting:
I am still not back to my fitness routine but I have recently gotten a workout DVD from amazon. It is called Jillian Michaels – Ripped in 30. There are four rounds, one for every week of the month. You do the same workout every day for one week and then you go on to the second workout for the second week and so on. I did my first on Wednesday and oh boy it was hard. I can´t remember sweating so much and feeling so exhausted and sore after. Took about 25 minutes. Hopefully I can keep up with it.
Reading:
I have to admit I didn´t read a lot the last two weeks. I started Better Than Before from Gretchen Rubin and I also have read a lot of post from a blog I have recently found called Champagne Colored Glasses.
Posts to read from this week:
