it´s finally Saturday and since I haven´t shared a Casual Saturday post in a while I am here today chatting about some of the latest things I found, ate and watched. I have to be honest it isn´t that much you would have probably considered by missing out for about 4 weeks. So here we go. Since I have quite the full day ahead I am starting right away.
Netflix-ing:
Dead to me – season 1 // Real binge-watching material. I watched it in two days. Every episode brings out some new insights and you just can´t get up and
Juanita // The story about woman who is searching for something more in her life than looking after her teenage daughter´s baby and bailing her sons out of prison. I totally enjoyed the movie, it was full of emotions and lessons of and for a middle aged woman searching for her second spring.
One last Summer // Starring “Archie Anderson” from Riverdale I had to have a look at it and I absolutely loved it. The movie is playing in the summer after the seniors have graduated from high school but the drama is still there. Love, hope, jeallousy and fear of the unknown keeps the friends together on their way into work life.
Dumplin´// Awesome movie. Loved it from the beginning to the end. Teaches such a great lesson about integrity and body positivity, also Jennifer Aniston is perfect for the role as former beauty queen.
To all the boys I loved before // Haven´t read the book so I don´t know how matching it is but the movie, I think, was great. It is about a girl who dreams about unconditinal love and in the end finds it in the one person she was thinking of the least.
Bridget Jones // Didn´t get me at all. In my opinion such a bad movie starting with the looks to her personality and the whole story. I can not understand the hype about it.
Riverdale // It was the seasons final on Thursday and it was brilliant. It had everything and I watched it three times. I have to admit I lost a little interest cause it got kind of boring and the stroy seemed to reapeat itself but the last three episodes were marvellous. A real need to watch.
Shopping:
I am on the hunt for a black tie optional July wedding guest dress and I have found some pretty pieces. They are all different despite the fact that the colors all range in the green and blue area. Also accessories is a huge point and matching my husband to my outfit. I am sharing some of the dresses I ordered in the widget above but the final look in a seperate blog post including all the information on what to wear to a Summer wedding.
Other things I have been shopping for is home decor since I am finally able to finish the master bedroom and bathroom. There are only some pieces left which need to be installed BUT they are already in the house so it is only a matter of time. Going to share the whole progress of both rooms in two seperate post coming very soon.
Eating:
We honestly haven´t been out much. In fact I am cooking most of the time and we went out Friday two weeks ago to a Greek restaurant were we life. It was great food and service but they don´t even have a homepage.
And on Tuesday it was my mom´s birthday and we went out for Chinese food which was also really nice.
Current favorites:
Since the wheather has been surprisingly nice I am sharing some of my most used Summer favorites with you. First of all there are two fragrances I have I turn to every time Summer rolls around. It is the L´Eau from Biotherm cause the scent is just so refreshing and light, perfect for the hot days and Escada – the current one is Miami Blossom – but I still use last years edition. The flacon is just to big to use in one season.
The Urban Decay beach bronzer is another beauty product. I love to add that summery glow onto my skin (definitely going to pack this one for Italy) and somehow (although I love my mattes) I always tend to wear more sheer lipsticks when Summer rolls around. Maybe its because of the ease of those Summer days or just of the heat. Probably never gonna figure this out.
