How to make your house smell like fall…

wax warmer Yankee Candle /

….

Hello friends,
(post contains affiliate links/Werbung-Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links/Markennennung-not sponsored)
it seemed like forever until we finally got the cooler temps. From the beginning until the end of August I was craving fall so bad. I couldn´t help it but I was fed up of the super hot weather and ready for fall.

So since this is the first week of October I have a week full of fall themed post planned. From home decor to style, to recipes and even a giveaway so stay tuned.

Since I am such a huge fan of fall I am decorating the living room of our house and also our front porch (view last years decoration here) and I enjoy it each and every time. It sets my decoration process from Fall to Winter to Christmas.

But today I am talking about scents. Every house has its own unique inside smell. Not everyone likes the smell of other houses but it is a scent we connect with home, comfort and coziness.

I am a real lover of the Fall and Winter scents and I love that there are new mixtures every year. I am especially going crazy for everything pumpkin and cinnamon scented. But believe it can get quite expensive when you are buying a jar of each candle you could like so I opted for another system this year.

TARTES is the key word. They are pressed into whatever shape and made out of wax including the same fragrance you would get in a jar. I got a wax melt warmer from Yankee Candle in this super cool silver color gradient optic. It is so pretty and totally matches our living room. So there are just two steps left now.

Put a tealight into your wax warmer and cut of the desired amount of wax of your tarte. Let it melt and enjoy your gorgeous smelling home. The tartes are super intense. The whole house is smelling really good after about half an hour. They are totally worth it and also a little goes a long way.

I really love scents in our house around the Fall/Winter time cause we spend so much time inside and why not making it as nice and comfortable as possible.
My favorite scent is Pumpkin Spice from Village Candle – the best pumpkin candle I have ever bought. I am heartbroken that they have discontinued to make them. So I am buying what´s left of it.

As always thanks for stopping by. Take care. See you.

Fall Look – Bootcut jeans (under 50 €) and knotted back sweater…

Hi guys,
(post contains affiliate links/Werbung-Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-Markennennung-not sponsored)
it feels like forever since I have been on the hunt for a perfect dark washed pair of bootcut jeans and I finally found one. I have probably ordered two dozens and none of them fit. They where to wide or way to long or didn´t fit on the top or I just didn´t like them on me but Mango answered my prayers and added the best pair I could have asked for into their fall collection.

I have worn it in this post and decided to get it hemmed for about 3 cm cause although I am wearing a pair of my usual heels it is a little too long for my taste.

I paired it with a creme colored super soft slightly cropped sweater also from Mango. The sweater has a knotted back which it honestly really cute. A pony tail or a bun probably would have been the better hair option but next time then.

I totally love to mix and match several hues of brown and creme to create some depth. It doesn´t have to be strict monochrome all the time. The belt is my latest addition. I am usually not a belt girl and if I wear one I stick to my favorites but I wanted to have a slimmer version to wear in fall with slacks or a feminine skirt. This one acutally pairs well with denim too.

Tomorrow finally is the day I am giving you a little more insight on our wedding day and some photos. I have finally found the time to sit down and write about this special day. Didn´t want to do it inbetween cause it has been kind of a whirlwind over here since getting back from our honeymoon on Monday.

Enjoy the rest of the day and as always thanks for stopping by. Take care. See you.

Hi guys,
(post contains affilliate links/Werbung-Beitrag enthält Markennennung/Affiliate Links-not sponsored)
we came back from our honemyoon yesterday and as beautiful as it was I am glad to be back home. Back to Chloé, back to our house, back to cool weather. I am pretty busy today doing all the laundry and filling our fridge up again to cook some delicious fall meals. Also I am going to start decorating today. Can´t wait till our house looks, smells and feels like fall.

I also had an appointment at the hair dresser today and did something totally different. You will see very soon.

To the look. You all know I love love love a great pop of red or an all over red look and of course red lipstick. So finding this red leather jacket and the red heels this summer I was delighted. I already have so many pretty looks in my mind combining this two pieces together or wearing them single.

For many looks a good pair of jeans and a white shirt is a base you can build up from and I love that. The fact that there can be styled so many different looks with two basic pieces is so great.

Be sure to check back next week as I am planning to do a full week of fall posts and a giveaway at the end of the week.

Thanks for stopping by. Take care. See you.

Good morning friends,
(post contains affiliate links / Werbung Markennennung, Post enthält Afffiliate Links-not sponsored)
it is the last day of our honeymoon today and as sad as I am, I am totally looking forward to get home to Chloe. We miss her so much. Each time we leave it is so hard for us, but at least we know she has a good time. After a week of extended summer I am now hoping for chilly weather at home to soak in all the fall vibes. Finally.

This look would be perfect for a sunny fall day. The pair of jeans and the vest would protect you from freezing cause the mornings are foggy and cool around here which I personally like. If a t-shirt is not warm enough you could easily swap it out for a longsleeve.
I really do like the combination of navy and olive. I have posted a similar look yesterday on the blog. And by adding a pop of red (MAC Red is my current favorite and I have a feeling that this is going to last until Christmas) it gets even more interesting.
Next week is going to be in full fall mode. I am going to share a super delicious pumpkin dish, more fall looks, how to make your house smell like fall and more. Stay tuned.

Thanks for stopping by. Take care. See you.
