the weekend is near I can practically feel it although I don´t have much of a weekend cause Emilia isn´t taking a break but it is nice to slow down for three days and have my husband around to do things together.
But let´s talk about this fabulous blow-up pool I ordered for our garden. It has been THE investment for this year and I am not quite sure what could top it. It is our most used Summer accessory and the whole family including my mom loves it. We have used it nearly every day since the weather has become incredibly hot.
Having an iced coffee and sitting in the blow-up pool. It is the simple life in times of a pandemic that makes our day.
The blow-up pool has been an amazing amazon buy after seeing it on Kathleen Barnes Instagram. I also got the cover cause it is under our fruit trees which means lots of dirt in the water.
Bathing suits like the one I am wearing above have become a huge favorite of mine and this love has only grown over the last few years since they are getting more trendy and pretty. Also they are my best friends after having a baby. They suck in the places that need it most and still look fashionable and pretty.
I am now off to bed. See you tomorrow probably after we are home from a delicious breakfast. We do as much as we can outdoors to enjoy our Summer without getting on a Summer vacation. Travelling with a baby and Covid is just too much for me so we focused on making an outdoor oasis.
I personally loved the outfit above but when I look at the pictures now I think I see a huge resemblance to the Blues Brothers. Anyways Kimonos are life to me. They are one of the best Summer staples you can get. Cute over a dress, cool worn with a pair of denim and also the perfect cover over a bathing suit.
For this look I went with the first option – kimono over dress. If you have a ton of uni colored dresses the colorful kimonos are perfect for you. Absolutely spices up the usual.
Blue seems to be the color of the season for me. I have scrolled through my Instagram and found a ton of blue pieces. I wasn´t even aware of this. So to complement the baby blue kimono I put on a pair of blue and white striped mules.
As far as accessories goes I went all in with a black straw hat, a pair of sunglasses and my Tory Burch Gemini Link.
as you might know I started a closet challenge for the month of August (you can read more about it here). The first week is over and I am quite proud of myself. I was only tempted once to order something but seeing how much summer dresses and skirts are left in my closet unworn from last year I let go of that very quickly.
To be honest I was very pleased with my choices over the last seven days and I hope you feel inspired. I tend to get a little lost in August regarding all things Summer because I want it to be Fall so badly.
This makes me re-appriciate the warm days and enjoy the last few weeks by sitting in our blow up pool and cooling down.
I obviously have a new color scheme that has formed over the last few months. If you look at my Instagram feed blue and white are the most dominating colors right now but this will of course change the closer we get to Christmas.
How cool is this huge shopper handbag? I got it the other week and it is from the Tommy Hilfiger Icons collection. It has the perfect size to fit all of Emilia´s stuff we need on the go plus my things. Perfect color for Summer also. The nude colored TH´s are really cute plus you can also flip the inside out and have a all golden bag instead.
Denim for summer isn´t my first choice at all but this pair of cute white culottes are awesome. They are super lightweight and I love the silhouette. The raw hem adds some coolness and they are highwaisted and tuck everything in. It also is more of a cream color than a bright white.
I do have some more Summer looks for the months of August for you guys as I know the temperatures will still be hot in most places but I am so giddy about planning Fall looks and for the cooler temps.
