as this post goes live we are currently at a wedding. The first one since October 19, actually the first real big celebration we are heading to since then. I couldn´t believe it until we headed to the location that it actually happened. If you want to follow along head over to my Instagram account.

How to style a striped dress 

In my opinion a striped dress is the most versatile piece to style out there. You can dress it down with a pair of sneakers and a denim jacket / cardigan, wear it in the summer with a cool cap and sandals, style it with a leather jacket and booties for Fall weather and so on….

I have styled it pretty casual for this shoot cause we went to the zoo afterwards but you could switch the Chucks for espadrilles as well and the little backpack for a straw handbag to create the ultimate Summer look. A shirt dress is the most comfiest option to wear, almost like a nightgown.

If you want to go real crazy you could pattern mix and add a second pattern to it coming from a neckerchief or a jacket as well.

Are you still into stripes? Stripes are a staple pattern but it has been present over the last decade and at some point people may be over them?

the weekend is finally here and the weather couldn´t be worse. I really don´t know where Summer has gone but I need it to come back, at least for another 4 weeks or so.

Anyways there is no way we can control the weather but one option is always there to make it feel like Summer. Getting dressed the right way. So why don´t we put on our favorite Summer dress and watch the rain pour down from the inside. At least it´s an alternative.

How to style a square neck dress

The square neck has come back in fashion about a year and a half ago and to be honest I have loved it from the beginning but with being pregnant and breastfeeding it somehow didn´t fit as nicely around my breast as I anticipated so I waited a little to start wearing my pieces again.

This dress is from Gina Tricot and it is super affordable. They offer a huge selection on flower print dresses. It is a swedish fashion chain and I have been shopping for years from them but forgot about their store and recently rediscovered it.

So for styling the dress I would go with the colors that are already in the pattern and don´t add new ones. Pastels are very pretty styled within range and in this case it is very true. I went with the blush in the flower print for my accessories (shoes and handbag) and it blended in very nicely with the mint green. 

If I really want to set the focus on the square neck I would add a statement necklace and also wear my hair up in a high ponytail or a bun, but that is entirely up to you.

Do you guys have any plans for the weekend? We are heading to a wedding tomorrow and I am honestly really happy to get dressed up again.

the weather has been pretty crappy today so indoor playing it was. Emilia loves the outdoors and wants to be outside all day everyday. Rainy days like today are pretty hard too manage and keep her occupied. 

Anyways let´s throwback to the amazing weather in the pics. We went into the city and had an amazing breakfast and took the pictures afterwards. Never forgot an avocado toast 😉

How to style a pink flower dress

Flower dresses aren´t for anyone. I know lot´s of gals who like to dress feminine but despise the flower print whether it´s huge blossoms or millefleur. We are definitely team flower print over here so just as a side note I have some more dresses including different flower prints for you to come.

Summer is definitely the most colorful time of the year for me so I am taking everything in the most beautiful and vibrant color as possible. Pink is one of my favorite colors but sadly doesn´t fit that well with my red hair now but as color component in a print it works out perfectly.

To add the most Summer feeling to this outfit I went with a white straw hat and my beloved white espadrilles – my most worn shoes I probably have to retire after this year. There is something about all things straw that create that easy breezy Summer feel. Plus white is always a great color to add to Summer looks.
