I am writing outdoors from my patio with my feet in the water for you today (you might have seen our awesome little kids pool on Instagram already). Sharing this very romantic summery look I have worn to breakfeast two weeks ago.
There is nothing more summery than straw accessories like hats or espadrilles. I love love love to wear them during this season and think they complement every summer look.
For this particular style I went with a black and white mix and have to admit even if I normally stay away from black in the Summer this fits great. The hat and the espadrilles lighten up the look and pull it together.
We are going to have our first date night since Covid 19 started on Friday and I can´t wait cause we are going to our favorite restaurant. Probably going to miss our baby a lot.
I know I am a little late with my Amazon June review this month but to be honest I totally forgot about it. How in the world could this happen ? I really don´t know cause to be honest there isn´t a day going by were I am not on their site looking for something.
Every month is a huge mixture of different things and categories so there might be some things for every one.
Baby footprint box // To commemorate our little girl´s foot print and hand print. She grows so fast so this was a total must.
Tie-Dye kit // Hopped on the trend wagon and made our own tie-dye shirts. Color last for at least 10 pieces. You can read my post about the diy post here.
Fischer Price baby seat // Got this cause she want to sit up all the time and so I can take her around the house with me while getting some things done and she can´t tip over.
Mirrored tissue box // An awesome addition if you want to glam up your vanity or powder bath. Definitely a lot prettier than the paper tissue boxes.
Acrylic container // Got this set to start storing my change again to save up for another designer item. I did this the way with my LV Neverfull GM. I was putting every penny in there and it added up so I could finally buy it for my 30th birthday and didn´t miss the money at all.
Mirrored rose gold cosmetic container // My SIL´s birthday had been in June I wanted to get her something fancy but funtionable for her bedroom and this set of two rose gold mirrored boxes totally fit the bill. Going to get the silver version for myself.
Intex baby pool // Got this for Emilia so she can join us outside.
Skirt hanger // The most space saving hangers I have ever had. I have about 12 skirts on every hanger and it is still slim and fits nicely into the closet.
Grundig toaster // Since our old toaster broke down I decided to get a new and matching red one for my kitchen.
Tie-Dye cap // I am not owning one cap but finally pulled the trigger on this one because I love the tie-dye trend and it looked so cute plus it´s a great piece to wear on bad hair days.
American Royals // A light Summer read for vacation or Summer at home.
New Look tiger kimono // The kimono trend is in full swing this Summer and there are a ton of options out there. This creme and black colored tiger print piece will follow into Fall as well.
Weekly planner // I use it to plan my low carb meals for myself and also write down my progress in terms of getting back in shape like daily weight and exercises.
Jersey maxi dress // The most beautiful Summer maxi dress with Hawaiian flower print. Brightens our social distancing days.
Mug heater // If you ask me a total must if you have a busy job at the office or a baby/toddler at home as coffee get´s cold quickly and this gadget does a great job of reheating it.
Oh wow June has had a ton of amazon finds but also lot´s of practical things. I like doing these every month for you. Are there some pieces you would love to hear more about?
it is Emilia´s three months update today – a little later than the other ones I have already posted – I mean she is already four months in 10 days but better late than never am I right?
So what has changed or what is new. She has the sweetest spirit which isn´t quite new but I just can´t get over it how cute she is and how sweet she is to everyone who laughs at her. She always laughs back and is super smiley when she wakes up and sees us first in the morning.
To this date Emilia is sleeping quite through the night which means the first time she wakes up to feed is around six or six thirty in the morning and that is amazing. I get up once at night to pump but other than that I can sleep through the night.
She started to grab things initially for the last two weeks and as hard as it was in the beginning she is getting better by the day. Her favorite toys are a little squishy ball and a rattle with a jellyfish on top.
Her pacifier is another one of her favorite things. She uses it a lot more frequently than in month one or two. Maybe because she loves to have her hands in her mouth too at this stage and this is close to feeling things.
We use the Philips Avent pacifieres cause they are the only ones she can use without covering her nose as the area between her mouth and nose is so small.
Her last docotors appointment was last week and she has become pretty large. She now meassures 66 cm and weighs about 8,5 kg. The size of her clothing at the moment is a 68 which is for 4-6 months so she is a little ahead but to be honest I am not surprised as my husband and his whole family are big people.
So that´s it for month 3. I will report back in about two weeks what´s new.
I can´t believe tomorrow is Thursday already. Time really flies with a baby. We had a hard day today, pediatricians appointment. I have been more nervous than she probably because she didn´t know were we where going and in the end she was a real trooper and everything went fine.
But let´s move on for today´s look. My first pool day inspo for (dog) pool days at home. To be honest wearing bathing suits always rang in summer days for me but this year feels strange. No planned vacation, no heading to a lake so what´s left is stay at home and get refreshed in your dogs/kids pool.
The tie-dye kimono is perfect if you have a ton of plain bathing suits cause it has every color needed in the pattern. I opted for a beautiful dark blue color. And why not dress up even if you only stay at home but we can´t stay in sweats all year. Style must go on and Summer only requires little make-up so there is no better time than to get back at it now.
I am going to try the world famous Dalgona coffee for you guys and report back on Friday. I am so curious.
