We are in the middle of Summer although it hasn´t become real summery over here. The weather is quite mixed up which means in this case it is hot for three days and rainy for three days. So in regards of outfit planning it has become really hard. But as you know me I am not a huge fan of the Summer heat and Summer activities I don´t mind to much.
What I do like about Summer are the fun prints and vibrant colors we get to wear. The maxi dress for example has this gorgeous royal blue hue I love so much.
Another thing I love about the dress is the length. A maxi dress has always been one of mý favorites as it is super uncomplicated to wear. Just throw it on and you are ready to go out. In the worst case you wouldn´t even have to shave your legs.
For this look I added a white jean jacket and a pair of silver sandals but you could have easily gone with a brighter color like red too.
For tomorrow I have planned a huge post including all things breastfeeding, pumping and more.
Real life styles have been pretty rare over here the last couple of weeks as most of the days I am not gettting dressed although I have tons of Summer stuff but we are mostly in our garden so why make a fuss about it. But I swear I am getting better again. In time periods where I have a little sag I usually watch The Devil wears Prada or some episodes of Dynasty and that really gets my creative juices flowing in terms of styles and wanting to get dressed up again.
I am so happy the whole weekend lies in front of us and it is going to be a good one. We have planned some stuff and it depends on were you are Independance Day is taking place.

Not only perfect for Valentine´s Day but for year round. I have always loved a piece of red velvet cake. It is something so special. Flavorful and velvety soft plus the fresh cream cheese frosting. Perfection on its own. One of my favorites to date.

Awesome sweet treat to try if you love a zesty note in your cakes. I definitely would recommend trying this. I personally loved the taste although the look itself went horrible wrong as I have used an oven form that was way to small for the amount of dough and batter I have. I will bake them again very soon and hope they will look pretty enough to post and to serve. Southern Living has some of greatest recipes I have found on the internet, not only for baking but for cooking too.
This was a first for me but to be honest it was super easy to prepare and even more to bake. A classic southern desert and perfect for Summer with all the fruits. In fact you could use every fruit you like.
Have baked this one for so many ocassions whether for a birthday, Christmas or just for the weekend. It is definitely loaded and not for the faint of heart as the calories are skyrocketing per piece with all the chocolate, butter, heavy cream and confectioners sugar but definitely worth a try. Make sure to at least double the dough or it won´t be enough for two stories.
My go-to Summer cake. The Pina Colada Cake tastes fresh but a little zingy with the pineapple and superlight cause of the airy sponge cake. Everyone loved it so far cause it looks super delicous and artsy but is also super easy. Don´t be intimidated by the many steps, it is easier than you think and totally worth it.
These are my top 7 recipes I wanted to share with you as I love to have seasonal go-to´s on hand for different ocassion. It is nice to have deserts or cakes on hand you know you can pull of easily and taste great when you are in a quick need of them.

Shirt dresses have never been more popular than nowadays no matter if they are denim, all white or with a cute pattern or vibrant color.
A shirt dress is super easy to wear, just throw it on and you are good to go plus it is breastfeeding friendly which is a huge dealbraker over here. That doesn´t mean that I am not wearing other clothes but to easy access has never hurt.
As you know me and my love for prints and colors this dress was an absolute must for me. The vibrant orange color and the cute 70´s inspired print make a great dress. Perfectly for Sunday dinners, church visits, birthday parties or the office. No matter the ocassion, a shirt dress is your companion.
I am so happy it is Friday tomorrow. I have some things planned for the weekend and as the weather is supposed to be better than last week I think we can finally visit a few of the restaurants where I wanted to eat for some time now.
