I love a colored lip for every day of the year and on some days I stay at home and have nowhere to go so a gloss is totally enough. I have loved and used the NYX Butter Glosses for years and recently discovered the Soft Matte Lip Creme. It is a little different than a gloss, more like a stain but not at all permanent.

So let´s have a closer look.

There are several things I cherish in a lip gloss I am looking for and I have to admit I have found a lot of what I liked.

Butter Gloss

Pigmentation – It is a pretty sheer gloss but that´s what I like about cause I often times wear it over a lipstick.

Durability – I would say it does not last very good. The lighter colors are gone pretty quick if you are eating and drinking but I do not mind re-applying it a few times during the day.

Feel – It is a little sticky at first but settles very quick. I am super happy about that cause I can´t for life stand a sticky gloss.

Price – 6, 99 Euro

For the price it is totally fine and there are so many shades available. It works amazing as finish over a lipstick and also alone if you like to have a shimmer with a hint of color on your lips. 

Soft Matte Lip Creme

Pigmentation – The pigmentation is way higher than the gloss. The Lip Creme is very soft to apply and leaves a velvety feel on your lips. It dries up matte very quick without drying out the lips. 

Durability – For the price and also the fact that it is a lip creme it holds up quite great.

Feel – It is super soft on the lips and also very lightweight. You will not feel it at all after applying.

Price – 7,45 Euro

In conclusion I really love all of my NYX glosses (and also lipsticks) and probably going to grow my collection. The Butter Glosses are the perfect toned down everyday glosses and the Soft Matte Lip Cremes will work great on ocassions where you need more color.
