Black Basic Sweater for Winter…

another unspectacular day has passed but I managed to get another wardrobe up in my closet so that is a win in the books. The snow is finally melting but the weather hasn´t gotten much better but the weekend is supposed to be nice so I can sit out a few more days. To be honest I can´t wait for Spring to go the park with Emilia and watch the ducks with her.

Now let´s talk about the outfit I shared in the pictures above. A black plain sweater is the perfect basic for your Winter wardrobe and yes it took me almost as long as this post to get one for myself. I wanted a longer piece so I could wear it with leggings too. For this style I went with a blue skinny jeans to pair with the black sweater. Combat boots were the perfect addition for the frosty and snowy weather. To add some color I went with a gorgeous burgundy shade.

Are you into basics or do you love all things fancy? I usually love a patterned sweater and lots of color but going back to the basics from time to time isn´t the worst.

the forecast for this and next weeks says the snow is finally melting and we are getting Spring like temperatures. As fun and pretty an all white and snowy background is I am happy when I can wear my heels again. Also I am already planning on shooting Spring looks so the snow has to go…

Anyways let´s talk about this cute look I am wearing in the pictures above. It immediately reminded me of the American Hustle movie I have watched years back. The outfits were on point.

The wool mini skirt has a houndstooth pattern which I love. It is my third favorite after leopard print and flowers. To match the skirt I went with a red turtleneck but you could also wear a white one to freshen up the look or a brown one if you want to go monochrome. I love to wear skirts year round so a pair of booties was necessary. The brown patent booties are one of my favorites and match so many winter styles.

There is something about the color combo of red and brown that immediately let me think of the 70´s.

Valentine´s Day is exactly one week away and I know that we are staying home cause we will still be in lockdown but nevertheless I am going to dress up and enjoy my take-away food with every inch of my body.

But for all of my gals who want to dress up or are allowed to go to dinner I am sharing this set (and some more) of cute and affordable Valentine´s Day earrings. I personally love a great statement earring as much as my lipsticks so this was a no brainer to get heart themed earrings for the day of love.

Now lets see what we´ve got – a great mix between pearls, letters, hearts and velvet.

Cute Valentine´s Day day outfit – pink and red…

who loves Valentine´s Day – not for going out on dates but for the cute clothes and awesome candy ?? Yeah me too. Isn´t this sweater the best match for Valentine´s Day. Pink and Red is a match made in heaven or the Valentine´s Day industry – who knows?

You actually can pair this sweater with pants or a skirt or even wear it over a dress and knot it on one side. It is roomy and stretchy. For work I would go with a pair of sleek black pants or if you can go casual with a pair of pretty non-distressed dark denim.

If you are in warmer places and could wear a skirt without tights – a white skirt would look very cute and red booties or pumps. It is still freezing in Germany so no tights weren´t really an option.

Anyways did you realize that I am not really wearing a blouse underneath my sweater ?? It is just a fake collar you can add under every kind of sweater or dress to add some seriousness or to change your look a little. I think it is a super fun piece and it definitely cracks me up everytime I wear it and look in the mirror 🙂

Are you guys celebrating Valentine´s Day in any way? As I mentioned in a previous post we are still in lockdown but we will probably make a special evening out of it.
