Where are my Halloween loving ladies at?

Halloween is in about three weeks and it definitely is time to start prepping now. Whether you want to decorate, invite to a party, prep your costumes or make cute Halloween baskets for your kids.

I really enjoy making themed baskets for my little one but that shouldn´t be a surprise at all cause I love everything with a theme. You can read more about my Valentine´s Day and Easter baskets here and here.

Halloween Toddler Basket

So what to put into a Halloween toddler basket ? Well there is always the same order I follow. I get a basket (of course) and then I start with a book and usually a little stuffed animal. I also like to give out little toys but switched it for a cute ghost t-shirt. If she would be a little older I would officially go with Halloween candy but since we are trying to give her food with less processed sugar I went with a smoothie pack. She loves them and they also have great autumnal flavors with sweet potatoe, pumpkin and vanilla.

The baskets I have are from a local dollar store but amazon has similar ones and I am sure your dollar store has them too. Another thing I got for Emilia was a coloring book cause she really likes to color the last few weeks but it definitely isn´t one for a toddler. It doesn´t look nearly as cute on the inside as it does on the outside. Gonna keep it for a few years until she learns how to write since it is all about the ABC. Also last but not least (another dollar store find) cute 3D stickers. She never had sticker but I thought they would fit perfectly into the theme and the basket of course.

So since Emilia is still a little thing I don´t think we are going trick or treating this year. Do you have any plans for Halloween ?

Happy Hump Day Girls,

we just came back from play group and Emilia is napping so I wanted to quickly share this post with you. Packing for a toddler needs a minute of planning cause it is super overwhelming.

In fact you have to pack everything you use at home and more. Yeah that sounds like a lot am I right?! So in today´s post I wanted to share some of my favorites for travelling and also how I pack for Emilia.

How to pack for a toddler

So I wanted to give you a little insight on how I pack for Emilia. I have three things I do. First of all I lay out all of her outfits and put them together the way I planned her to wear them. After that I put them into packing cubes. This is my number one thing I pack all of our luggage. Packing cubes are your friends. They keep your luggage/weekender in order which is important if you want to have quick access to your things plus you won´t get annoyed by searching.

I have train cases for all of us. I got the same model in different colors and I put everyones toiletry in it. This way it´s color coded and I know where everything is. This might seem obsessive to some but it does the trick and in the end that´s what´s important.

So another piece we all have is the Reisenthel Allrounder in size large. There are tons of colors available and you can get it personalized which is great. I have used it for years of travel and also for my stay in the hospital. I got my husband one for his birthday and now Emilia has her first weekender. They hold a lot of stuff and look great as well plus they are super affordable.

I know this might seem a little obsessive but this is just how I know where everything is and I have quick access to it if I need to. Vacations can be stressful enough so you shouldn´t stress about all the other things.

Some of our favorite travel gadgets for road trips and hotel stays are listed below. You can all get them off amazon and in my opinion every item was totally worth it.

Happy Hump Day,

having a toddler who loves the water is one of the sweetest things. It is such a joy to give a bath to Emilia. She loves splashing around in the tub and playing with the water overall. I am super happy that she never had a problem with water. Never cried in the tub and although she isn´t a fan of washing her hair it isn´t a huge problem.

So to maximize her joy I went on the hunt for some baby bath gadgets and let me tell you I have found a ton of good stuff, not only for baby.

Amazon is my one stop shop for everything and it has gotten even more during the lockdown cause where do you get the things you want and need when every other shop is closed.

Baby Bath Gadgets

….

cushion // This will do amazing thins for your bones. Most of the time my husband gives Emilia a bath. He sits inside of the tub with her but if it´s my turn I am truly thankful for this cushion cause my knees really hurt after 30 minutes.

set of 4 water cups // Got this the other months for Emilia to play and she definitely loves watching the water run through. It is the cutest thing how she tries to fill them up all the time.

toy collector // This comes in very handy if you have lots and lots of toys in the tub with your little one. Just collect them with this great bath gadget before you drain the water. It holds a ton plus excess water will run through the mesh material. The toys can dry while stored away.

hair wash wale // I have seen this at another blogger´s page and I thought this was a great idea. We do love the water around here but hair washing it not in our top ten. The concept is great and it would work but now she knows what will happen when she see´s us getting the whale and isn´t happy about it at all.

bamboo wash clothes // These are amazing. It is a set of 10 and the little wash cloths are super soft.

bath mat // Added this to the tub to make sure she won´t slip and fall. It works out great.

bath towel // We have a couple of these towels, they are the best when it comes to wrap your little one tight and warm.

colorful cups  // Stacking cups are a new favorite in our house. Emilia loves to play with them now. She tries to stack and fills them up with water and splashes it around.

little boats // I thought these little boats are super cute but she isn´t as interested. Maybe later, maybe never.

octopus toy // This is a real hit. She totally loves her octopus toy and I like it to. It is super cute. The ring game isn´t her favorite but she loves to play with all of the things.

Shooting this post was so much fun cause Emilia loves the water so much and she takes up any opportunity to take a bath or go swimming.

See you tomorrow. July is going to be very interesting as I am starting a new series calles 31 dresses of Summer. Stay tuned.

having a baby or a toddler brings a lot of new challenges with it and for me one of them is leaving the house. I always feel like I need and extra hour to plan ahead and pack all the things and when I am on the way I am in constant fear of forgetting something.

But now with Summer time rolling around there is even more stuff to pack and it is not so depending on the places you go. It is the hot climate and several things to be aware of.

For my summer diaper bag edition I added lots of things into my bag I am going to share with you in a while but let´s have a look at this adorable bag first. The brand is called ahdorned and their website offers so many different prints and colors you might take a while to choose from.

I have first seen the shopper bag on Jackie Giardina from Living after Midnite and immediately thought it was stunning plus it checked all my boxes. It is huge (great to use as a travel/mom/diaper bag), it is made out of neoprene material (makes it super easy to wipe clean) and it is under 100 Euro (who wouldn´t want that).

Things to add to your diaper bag – Summer edition

Snack Cup // Toddlers snack all day everyday and this cup from Nip doesn´t loose a single thing and she can reach in nicely.

Bottle // We take her tea or water in this Philips straw bottle with us whenever we go out.

extra outfit // There are lot´s of opportunities why a toddler would need a new outfit but number one in the Summer months are the water fountains everywhere.

wet bag // In case the upper thing happens but also amazing if your baby has a blowout. It also seals in smells.

towel // In case the upper thing takes place.

toys // I always make sure to pack some toys and stuffed animals to keep her occupied in case we need to wait somewhere or are sitting down for a meal.

instant cool pack // This hasn´t been on my mind at all until I read an article about insects especially bees in parcs. Walking around and exploring the world and especially having no fear isn´t the best combo to meet a bee or wasp. These cool instant when you squeeze the packaging. Great for Summer picnics or trips.

plaster // Emilia falls a lot and mostly hurts herself and bleeds a little. She doesn´t mind at all but a plaster kees the dirt out of the wound.

sun hat // There is no excuse for a toddler to not wear a sun hat out in the sun. It is very important.

sun lotion // We are using the Hipp sunspray with SPF 50 for Emilia. It has great test reviews and I am very happy with it. It is on the pricier side but at least it is safe for our child.

burp cloth // I used these as a blanket in the Summer when she falls asleep in her stroller or even as sun protection in the car window.

diapers / wipes / lotion // Number one things I always carry with me.

disposable changing mat // I added these to our diaper bag cause many restaurants don´t have changing tables at all or the oldest crappiest changing mats and I don´t want my child to lie on there.

hand / face wipes // Very important after every dish or you will have every fly and bee around your toddlers face plus I really hate sticky fingers.

extra bottle of water // In case she is extra thirsty and her bottle isn´t enough I throw a small bottle of water into my bag.

I hope I haven´t forgotten anyhting. If it is the case I definitely add it to the list. So much to take with you with a little child. We are going on our first vacation with Emilia this Summer and I am anxious about packing. I don´t want to pack the whole house but I also don´t want to forget anything.  Definitely working on a packing list cause I am that type of person.

Hopefully you have enjoyed your holiday today. We went to the local swimming pool today and it felt like vacation.

See you tomorrow.
