how on earth can it be Monday again. I just made a cake for Friday afternoon and now I am waking up to a foggy and humid as hell morning morning plus this is going to be the hottest week of all year so I haven´t got any plans so far as I know it will be to hot for me to do anything.
So since there isn´t really anything else to do let´s talk about this beautiful polka dot dress. I LOVE polka dots. In my opinion it is one of the most feminine and cute prints out there. I own several polka dot pieces and I love the retro charme they are spreading. It is such an easy print but perfect for so many ocassions.
I have worn this dress to Florian´s sister´s birthday party and it was a total hit. The black and white polka dot print makes it possible for you to combine it with every color you would like. I went with a blush pink and liked it a lot. If you want to spice things up a little I would go with pops of red or a vibrant pink or even a neon orange.
The cute with the flutter sleeves and the open back slit and high waist reminds me so much of the vintage dresses all the divas uses to wear which totally adds a huge glam factor. I you are not sure what pattern might be for you try polka dots. They are not old and dusty in the slightest. They are glamorous and retro.
Hope you all had a great weekend and also a good start into the new week. Thans for stopping by. Take care. See you.
I finally came around to make this spinach dip last Saturday and let me tell you it is amazing. It is warm and cheesy and delicious with or without bread. I really couldn´t get enough and Florian loved it as well. This is definitely going to be made for my next party and hopefully everyone else loves it as much as we do.
For dinner parties I usually serve one dip and this is it for this year. It was super easy to make and much better to eat. Plus your house smells amazing.
The recipe I used for is from Homemade Hooplah and it is called the “Creamy Spinach Dip” and it absolutely is.
I just added some chilli flakes and a half cup of pine nuts but it will also taste fine without. Make sure to try this classic but not at all ou
Any plans for the weekend anybody ? It is going to be superhot again.
since Summer doesn´t mean exclusively fun in the sun (most of us probably need to work to be able to spend some money on fun in the sun) I am sharing a work appropriate office look over here on Madame Schischi today. So since some are blessed with great air conditioning at their office, others are absolutely lost in the summer heat. Every degrees over 25° C is already to much for myself and I am so lucky it hasn´t been to hot the last three weeks but anyways you should still dress accordingly to your work space although it is super hot.
This means no mini skirt and crop tops. I promise you won´t sweat less by reducing the length of your clothes. Just wear wider cut pieces. If your skin can breath it won´t be to bad. Although thinner clothing might be better to stand the heat it shouldn´t be seethrough at all. And anohter thing that bothers me a lot everytime I see it is when your bra straps are somewhere your shirt will never be. For example wearing a neckholder top and a regular bra. Please invest in a strapless version. It looks SO MUCH BETTER.
But let´s talk about the outfit per se. Black isn´t neccessarily a summer color but it still looks sleek and put together and that is what we need for the heat. I got this dress back in the winter from Zara but there are many other options out there. Black is also always a great option to combine with pops of leopard which I did to create this look.
In fact you could combine it with every color you like just switch out the belt, shoes and bag and you are good to go. Another thing I like to do is to wear my hair out of my face when it is hot. So I make a bun or a pony tail or if I need a quick and pretty solution it is going to be a beautiful pearl embellished headband.
How are you standing the summer heat on weekdays? And do you still wear black when it gets hotter?

it really isn´t a secret anymore that I love graphic tees especially when they are Disney related. A few weeks back I have found this adorable t-shirt at Zara and have worn it a ton ever since. It is the perfect fan shirt / still fashionable and not corny piece to wear combined with your everyday pieces.
Also has anyone seen the real life Aladdin movie in the cinemas. I was thrilled. The intense colors and all the details and the dancing and singing was awesome. The only thing I thought wasn´t the best solution was the charakter who played Jafar. I think he didn´t look as evil as he was or wanted to be. In the comic film version he has been much scarier than in real life.
Anyways, Zara has the greatest selection of Disney t-shirts I have seen somewhere else than Disneyland itself, so if you are a fan make sure to check out their online shop as many pieces are also discounted at the moment. I paired this gorgeous Aladdin t-shirt with the famous balcony scene (yep, not only Romeo & Juiliet have one) with a my favorite kind of skirts – a black pleated midi skirt. Since I had so much coverage through the shirt and the skirt I spiced it up with a pair of black platform sandals.
To stay in the color theme I added a denim jacket and one of my favorite shoppers to the look. I personally loved it so much I have worn it about three times until today.
For tomorrow I am going to share a appropirate and stylish work look for the hotter days. Make sure to check back if you are interested.
As always thanks for stopping by. Take care. See you.
