We had our baby´s christening in the middle of April and I finally have time to share the gorgeous decor and food with you. I love to throw parties with a theme and still have some up my sleeve. A Spring christening has been the perfect ocassion for a white and yellow color theme.

Color Theme

Since our christening was in the middle of April I thought a colorful and flowery Spring theme would be amazing. I choose daisies cause I have had the theme in the back of my mind for a birthday of the girls but it worked out great for our christening as well.

Decor

I had three things to decorate. The food table, the beverage station and the bar tables.

Let´s start with the easiest. We have used these bar tables for several ocassions over many many years. I got napkins to put on like a table cloth and little vases for the flowers.

The beverage station was all about the daisies. I have gotten these cute tulle fabrics with the daisy print and also daisy ballons to go with the theme.

For the cake table I went all out. Of course it had to be a sequins table cloth and a huge ballon arch. I have done so many of these but I still love it. I had two hues of yellow and white. The vases are left from Helena´s christening and were filled to the brim with gorgeous flower arrangements. My MIL always make the flowers and she has a real talent for it. Looks so pretty every time. The cupcake etagere is one  of the coolest things I have gotten in years.

Flowers

My MIL makes all of our flower arrangements cause she does them so well. I get the flowers at a local store normally a day before.

Food

Since our christening was at 11 in the morning and we also had lots of sweet food cause of the gorgeous delicious cake and the cupcakes I decided to make a charcuterie board and my MIL made some puff pastry finger food filled with salmon and some filled with bacon.

The cake has been a two-tier fondant covered cake. The top layer was chocolate and nut and the bottom layer has been raspberry and pistacchio. Both have been so delicious I couldn´t decide for a favorite. The cupcake frosting was passion fruit.

Candle

I have gotten all three of our candles on etsy. I always match them the color theme so the girls have little hints to remember their special day. There are hundreds of different ones and always so hard to choose from.

5th Birthday Fairy Garden Party….

….

(post contans affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

We are now at the stage where the girls request their own birthday party themes and this years first party of the year is a fairy garden party. I couldn´t love the whimsical theme anymore. It was so much fun putting this together and it may be my best work yet, but I think I say this every time 😉

Fairy Garden Birthday Party Decor

How gorgeous has been the party decor. The wisteria hanging down from the back of the buffet. The embroidered flowers and fairies everywhere. The greens and glittery pinks and of course lots of greenery to match the fairy garden theme.

Table decor is my strong suit and I have loved the dinner table decor this time. I have put the forest green table cloth underneath and then I have draped the flower table runner on top. Adding the vases with cute little flowers complemented my table center piece. I have also used my great aunts tableware cause it fit the whimsical flower theme so good.

Fairy Garden Birthday Party Activites

We had 7 kids over, all at the age between four and six and they definitely wanted to be entertained. I have had several activities planned and all have been accepted very well.

We had fairy wands to paint and embellish and also little fairy doors, butterflies and fairies. Another thing this kids love is a good´ol treasure hunt in the sandbox. I hid tons of glass marbles and other little treasures and they had a blast to search them in the sand. Got cute little wooden treasure chests for them to collect all of their finds.

Fairy Garden Birthday Party Snacks and Drinks

We had the kids birthday party on Friday where all the children have been invited to celebrate our big girl and we had the second birthday party on Sunday were all the relatives came over.

I have made different things for both days.

Kid´s birthday party:

 – muffins with white chocolate and sprinkles

 – pink and green doughnuts

 – E cookies with sprinkles and chocolate

 – Pasta with meat sauce for dinner

 – Sparkling water and fairy water (pink lemonade)

Adult birthday party:

 – coffee and champagne for the grown-ups

 – buttercream fairy garden cake

Fairy Garden Birthday Party Kids Table

I have always had a plastic table cloth matching the theme but I needed it this time for our outdoor activities table so I got two pink sequin table cloths and it made such a difference. The plates and and napkins have all been fairy themed as well and the paper cups were left from another birthday party so I have reused those.

Fairy Garden Birthday Party Favors

Always a favorite task of mine to put together party favors. I have found so many cute things I added to the goodie bags.

– fairy themed paper bag

 – colorful bead bracelets

 – fairy dust

 – fairy stickers

 – fairy wand

 – flower crown

 – glitter bouncy ball

 – fairy tattoos

I also had white glitter fairy wings for the girls.

For the boys gift bags I got

 – dragon eggs with a little dragon figurine inside

 – „Peter Pan hats

 – stickers, blue and green fairy dust

Valentine´s Day DIY Tattoo Candles…

….

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

You know I love a great DIY and this was super easy and very effective. I have seen a similar thing back in October when someone added tattoo spiders onto candles for a Halloween table scape and I thought wow this is such a cool idea with a lot of impact and forgot about it. But somehow it was still flying around in my head cause when I was brainstorming what would be cute post ideas for Valentine´s Day this suddenly came back and here we are.

DIY Tattoo Candles

This is a fairly easy tutorial. Choose the candlesticks (of course normal candles work as well as long as they have a smooth surface) and add your tattoo onto the place you would like to add it. Make it wet so it transfers and be careful when you are taking away the paper. That is it my friends!!!! Repeat this as often as you like or until your candle stick is full of cool tattoos. Works for every season or ocassion.

So here is what you need :

– candles (obvious)

– a cloth you can make wet (I used a dish towel)

– tattoos of your liking

My candles are leftover from our wedding so I already had them stored away in the basement and the tattoos are from SheIn I think but amazon has very similar ones if you don´t have much time left for your package to arrive.

Christmas Dinner Table Setting…

….

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate LInks-not sponsored)

I just love a perfectly set dinner table. Not only does it look so festive but it also resembles my love for all the holidays and family festivities. I have a great love for details as well so I try to incorporate as many special elements as possible.

This years decoration color theme is Red – the classiest of all Christmas colors so I went with a Red and Green table scape.

How to set the table

I always start with the table cloth or table runner. For this year I only added a table runner cause I wanted to keep the rustic flair of the wooden table with the greenery I put on top of the runner.

Then I add the deocr like bottle brush trees or gingerbread houses on the center of the dinner table. This year I went with fresh greenery and golden candle holders. Very laid back but super festive. To add the viral bow trend to my table setting I have wrapped a little red bow around every candle holder on the table. This added very much to the festiveness.

Afterwards I start with the plate setting. This time I used metallic green table
