Disney + Review…

….

Good day friends,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

we got Disney + in March last year when the Pandemic hit us and we were forced to stay at home and a short time after Emilia joined our little family so we stayed home even more and longer so this was definitely a good investment.

Disney / Pixar Animated Movies

I am a Disney gal through and through and love anything animated they ever made. Not only the princess movies but everything else too. I love love love Disneyland and everything with Mickey Mouse on it. In every city we are visiting and there is a Disney store I get a stuffed animal from a movie I loved.

Definitely great that you can watch all of the really old Disney movies like The Beauty and the Beast and Snow White.

To be honest I wasn´t a huge fan of the newer Pixar animated movies but there are definitely cute ones in the media library.

I hope to pass on my enthusiasm for Disney on to my little girl so that we can visit Disneyland together in a few years.

National Geography Movies

Not only did we watch several animal movies, we really got into the Bear Grills episodes. Thrilling and fascinating how to survive in the wild.

STAR WARS

If you are a fan this is your streaming service. Not only offers Disney+ the old 6 movies, you can stream the latest Star Wars Movies with Raj and also the story of Han Solo plus The Mandalorian is exclusively on Disney +. We have been watching every episode religiously so far and it is one of the greatest shows I have seen in a while.

Seasonal / Holiday

Another category Disney+ offers are seasonal or holiday movies. For Halloween or Christmas for example all of the related movies had been accessable in one folder. So easy to find what you are looking for but it makes is even harder to choose from.

Benefits

You can quit your subscription on a monthly base which is very nice cause you don´t have to remember a certain deadline or you make a one year subsription and save some money. Either way it is a good choice.

It definitely is a family channel. These are the first and foremost movie categories. If you are searching for another the adult category there are still Disney movies but not as plenty as other steaming services offer. I would say go for it and watch whatever you are interested in. You can watch as much as you like in one month and then cancel again.

See you tomorrow.

9 Reality TV-Shows to watch on Netflix…

….

Happy Friday and welcome

(post contains links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Links-not sponsored)

to the shameless guide of Reality TV. I love me some great Reality TV where I can watch how other people life or what they they do plus there is always drama and that is what I am really addicted to. Since the lockdown started I added a bunch to my list and I did get around to watch them all and that might be very worse if there were other things to do but hey I am grown-up and can do what I want.

So let´s round up the best (in my opinion)

9 Netflix Reality TV Shows to watch now

Bling Empire // This has been one of the best over the top reality tv shows I have seen in a long time. It is about all the super wealthy Asians living in Los Angeles. Life is full of parties, celebrations, shopping, fine dining and of course all the drama and problems that come with it. Like Asian childs arguing with their parents or wives can´t please their very traditional parents-in-law.

Selling Sunset // Another one of my favorites. It includes beautiful real estate agents and properties you can only dream of but it is full of drama. Chick fights around every corner. Love it!!!! Waiting for season 4.

Keeping up with the Kardashians // The classic and probably the mother of Reality TV. Are you even worthy of celebraty gossip if you haven´t watched KUWTK??!!

Yummy Mummies // Probably not as popular but definitely so amusing. It takes place in Melbourne and shares the journey of three girlfriends who are all pregnant at the same time. One of them is Jane Scandizzo, the wife of the famous hairdress Joey. It is about a fourth girl wanting to get in on the Yummy Mummies Club.

Indian Matchmaking // This is actually a very interesting show about the Indian culture and all of the differences to Europe or anywhere else in the world. I learned a ton I didn´t know was even possible with a show like this. Plus the matchmaking part is very funny cause some people have such a distorted perception when it comes to dating.

Bollywood Wives // Personally started this show because I love the Indian accent and also I thought it might be very funny. It is about the four wives of Bollywood actors (or the wives are also actresses) trying to manage everyday life with work and kids but staying glamorous.

Styling Hollywood // It has been about two years since I watched this show and I almost forgot about it but it actually has been very good. It is about a gay couple styling Hollywood actresses during award season. It is a close up of what is actually happening behind the scenes and how much work it is to get clients, dress showings and finish everything in time. Plus there are always personal problems which means drama and I life for that.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills // I was the happiest girl after I saw that Netflix finally streams RHoBH (also New York, Atlanta, etc.). I haven´t watched an episode for the last ten years. I think MTV or VIVA had these shows in their program. I do love everything about it. The houses, the frivolous parties and spending, the vacations or trips and of course the often hillarious comments of the “actresses”.

Dream Home Makeover // I love love love home makeover shows. They give me so many ideas and things I could add or change in our home (don´t tell my husband) plus I love to see how other people live. The hosts who are also the owner of MC Gee Studios are so kind and funny. You totally feel with them.

I liked every show. Some episodes more, others less but all together it is great entertainment. I know that reality TV isn´t everybody´s cup of tea but I enjoy watching it and mostly my husband watches with me (I always start watching off by myself and at the end knows about everybody and I can not finish alone, men hah!).

Happy Thursday you guys,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

we got news today that the lockdown is extended until the 7th of March so no date nights anytime soon. This is why I started this series on the blog – click here for the 1rst post – to get creative at home to spend quality time with your significant other.

So for today´s post our topic is playing games – whether it is a board game like D&D or Monopoly, a Playstation Game or another game like billard. It´s the time you are spending together that counts. Without your phone. Making an effort by dressing up. This is very important at these times, you spend all the time at home and nothing new happens so very soon your only topic will be who takes out the trash.

Playing billard together brought back so many memories. The last time we played billard was on our second date and now we are married for 2 and a half years and have a baby so time has passed pretty quick.

Although we weren´t very good at the beginning it was so much fun and we enjoyed our one on one time. Don´t forget to switch up your game from time to time. Get off that sofa into some real pants and do something together and I don´t mean watch a movie.

Think about it and see you tomorrow and as we are talking of movies now, I am sharing my top 9 reality TV shows from Netflix on Friday.

Happy Wednesday,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

today marks my last Valentine´s Day post for this year but also the best one too (at least for me). To be honest this was one of the things I got excited when I was pregnant with Emilia. I love to gift little holiday themed things / baskets (not only to my child) to other people in my life but getting baby items is definitely on the cuter side. The little basket is not only for playing / snacking but also a teachable moment. I know she is too small to fully understand what´s going on this year but I also know how happy Emilia gets when I show her a new toy or book she gets to keep so this will definitely warm my mama heart.

Anyways if you are not interested in making the basket by yourself you can skip the next paragraph where I am sharing what you will need to get crafty asap.

What you will need

Congratulations! You are trying to accomplish this by yourself rather than buying. I have to admit I thought it would be super easy but there are definitely some tricky parts. So let´s start with the felt. I got it from an etsy shop. Make sure to get a thickness of 4 or 5 mm otherwise it will be to thin and won´t hold up. You will need a very sharp scissor to cut it. I had to go over to my parents house cause obviously all of ours are too blunt.

The meassurments should be as you need it. I just put down the tallest object which was the book in our case and went with the width plus some additional space of a few mm. You will need three pieces of the bigger parts (front, back and bottom piece) and two pieces of the small parts (the two side pieces). If you want to you can also make a handle but I didn´t do one. Another cute feature I added are the hearts on the back and the front. I got the template from Pinterest.

After you cut out all your pieces it is time to heat up your glue gun. The glue dries fast on the felt so you should work quick. Another tip from my side – don´t use too much glue. It dries white and you will see it on the sides if it leaks. The hearts are higher than the sides but that was intended to add some dimension.

Overall I am very pleased with the look of my little Valentine´s Day basket for Emilia. But to be honest I am sure she is going to rip it apart in no time cause that is what she love to do at the moment. Nevertheless I gave my best to give her a great first Valentine´s Day present.

What to put in the basket

This is the second fun part (maybe a little too much fun for me) – filling the basket. I went with snacks, a Valentine´s Day themed pekaboo book, cute little house shoes with an embroidered heart, a Peppa Pig stuffed animal and a little wooden toy.

I can´t wait to give it to her and see how happy she will be.

Are you planning anything for your kids. Heart shaped pancakes or doughnuts would be so cool too but she isn´t eating any of that yet.

See you tomorrow guys.
