Crockpot Review – how I like it + what I have already cooked with it…

….

Hi guys and happy Friday,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

since Halloween is officially over it is okay to get excited over all things Christmas am I right? I can´t wait to get started on my Christmas decoration.

But since it is Food Friday I am sharing a food related post with you today. This year on the Amazon Prime Day I finally pulled the trigger and got myself a Crock Pot. I have been dying to get one and this years offer has been to good not to get.

I got the 5,7 liter one which can hold food for up to six people. I initially wanted the red version but ended up getting the black with beautiful stainless steel front.

The operation of the slowcooker is super easy. I have never had or used one before and it only took about 5 minutes to know all the features. The Crock Pot has a low as well as a high cooking button and you can also warm up your meals

It also holds a ton of food. I have tried so many different recipes and have to admit they were all a real hit. There wasn´t one dish we didn´t like. My favorite feature is of course the slow cooking function. I can make dinner in the morning or during lunch time and it is ready when my husband comes home from work.

These are some of the recipes I have already made and were a real hit:

beef stew / chicken parmesan / chicken tortilla soup / shrimp sausage gumbo / thai peanut chicken

Do you have some recipes you love or are you thinking about getting a slow cooker ? You can even make deserts with it. Definitely have to try out more and I will also keep this list updated.

9 Netflix Shows to watch in the Fall Months….

….

Hello my sweet friends,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

I am back with my second Netflix post (read about the top shows to watch now here) and I have to admit I never thought I have watched this many shows – 18 in total!!! Sometimes I think that it is insane to spend as much time on there but then I think why not do something you like and most of the time I do some blog work or cleaning or doing laundry or ironing while watching.

Netflix Shows to watch in the Fall Months

Dead to Me // This show was so good I have watched season 1 in one afternoon. I know this seems kind of crazy but Dead to me was awesome. It is about two women who have lost everything and overcome many obstables which makes them best friends that can oversee the huge mistakes the other has made and still stick together. I really really loved it from the beginning to the end and also the two main characters are great.

Pretty Little Liars // PLL was recommended to me by my SIL and I was hooked from episode 1. If you like high school mystery shows with a serious twist and gorgeous outfits this is the one for you. But you have to be quick cause I heard it is going to be removed from Netflix at the end of the year.

Cable Girls // Found this by accident and loved it right away. It is about four very different women who start working at a telehone company in Madrid and grow close together as they face the unfairly world for women in the 1930´s together. The outfits in this show are adorable and so on point.

Riverdale // The perfect show if you are interested in teenager crime solving episodes with a dark and unnatural twist. It plays in a little American city which is full of secrets and mysteries and in the middle of it four teenagers who are trying to solve every of it. Betty, Veronica, Archy and Jughead all from a different background but precisely because of that so close. Great styles and cute streets plus the ususal high school live make it a great show.

Dynasty // I had been a little disappointed by this one. I really thought it would be much cooler show but it is all about revenge and people are fighting all the time which is really annoying and exhausting. Although the looks are awesome and the parties to remember.

What If // Caught my eye because of Reese Witherspoon as main cast. It only is a short show of one season (at least so far) but is was awesome. Filled with so many unforseeable moments and twists, even twists in the twists. Definitely worth a watch.

Designated Survivor // Has been a great show until the end of season one and then it got super annyoing. The presidents wife died and he had been in a downwards spiral ever since, understandably. But it changed the character so much that it hasn´t been the same fun to watch afterwards. Season 3 is out since a few months but we haven´t bothered to watch.

You // Because of the huge hype and the mix of actores from Gossip Girl and Pretty Little Liars we had to watch it anywas. I didn´t like it in anyway. The story of a huge stalker trying to get the girl he is fixated on and getting rid of every one standing in the way. Didn´t like the story nor the characters. Not gonna watch another season.

Sugar Rush // A competitive baking show with amateur bakers that create the most beautiful looking sweet treats. There are three rounds ob gorgeous baking including cupcakes, pastry and a big 3-tiered cake. Definitely worth to watch and I guarantee you want to start baking on your own right after watching.

Hello friends,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

since Fall is finally here I started decorating inside and of course ordered myself some Fall candles. Candles always get me in the right mood for any season. And since my favorite season is Fall the most of my candles smell like pumpkin – also my favortie scent.

I light another candle every night and love that my whole house smells like Fall then.

Staying at home on a  cool and misty Fall day and cuddling up on the sofa with some comfortable loungewear, a great book and an awesome smelling pumpkin candle is THE dream every time Fall rolls around.

Most of  my candles are from Village or Yankee Candle or Bath & Body Works and I get them over Candle-Dream or the Yankee Candle site.

These are the candles I got for this years Fall decoration:

Leaves, Thankful and Pumpkin Patch from Bath & Body Works

Pumpkin Tweed from Village Candle

Another thing I love are the candle melts. I got several different autumn scents. Autumn Pearl, Vibrant Saffran and Autumn Glow from Yankee Cankle and Cozy Home from Goose Greek Candle.

Buon Giorno,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

it´s been almost 5 weeeks since we are back from Lake Garda and I am finally coming around to write my last travel post in terms of this vacation. Read my Food Guide here and my Verona Travel Diary here.

We checked-in in the afternoon and only hang out by the pool until it was time for dinner. After we dressed up we went down to the Peschiera city centre and had dinner at one of our favorite restaurants.

But you don´t have to be by the pool every day, there are plenty of acitivites you can do around the lake. I have rounded-up some activities we already did or planning for the next time.

What to do:

 – visit the surrounding cities (we already visited Garda, Lazise, Sirmione, Bardolino, Peschiera del Garda, Verona, Milan,

 – go to the market (there are local markets every day, our favorite one is on Thursday in Barodlino but we also visited the market in Garda on Friday and Peschiera del Garda on Monday)

 – play mini golf (we love to go play after dinner, also it isn´t as hot anymore)

 – shop ´till you drop (Affi has a huge shopping centre with different Italian stores, also shopping in Verona is great and every little city of course has its own shops)

 – bath in the Lake (there are places which don´t belong to the hotels everywhere)

 – go wine tasting (I always wanted to do

 – visit the Gardaland theme park (I have been years ago and it has evolved so much, there are a ton of new rides so whether you are a rollercoaster junkie or you are visiting with your toddler there is lots of fun for everyone)

 – go on a ferry ride to another city

 – go to a dinner show (there are two dinner shows available – a Rock´n Roll dinner show and a Medieval Times dinner show)

 – rent a boat (only possible if you have a boat license, the lake is huge and the cities can also all be visited by boat so if you are fed up of riding your car give it a try)

 – go parasailing (I have done this years ago and for 50 Euro I would say it is totally affordable and you have the greatest view of the lake you will ever get, awesome experience)

This are some of my top recommendations if you want to do a little more than lying by the pool.

If you want to know more what to do feel free to mail me.

Thanks for stopping by. Take care. See you.
