Wedding Wednesday – my bridal makeup and all the products I used….

….

Good morning my darling friends,
(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)
I am sharing my wedding make-up look with you today. I am very picky with make-up and if I don´t end up liking the feeling of a product on my face I have to remove it.

For this and some other reasons I decided to my wedding make-up by myself. If Duchess Kate can do it so can I, am I right? I have started months before to test out products I heard where worth the splurge to find the perfect makeup combos for my wedding makeup.

These are my top picks for the face:
Face Cream – Clinique Acne Solutions all-over clearing treatment

Face Primer – Kiko Matte Face Base
Concealer – Lancome color
Foundation – MAC Studio Fix color
Face Powder – Maybelline Fit Me color
Fixing Powder – MAC Translucent Powder

Side note: I always let the product set for about 10 minutes before I put on the next one. So for example if you are using a face primer let it set before applying your concealer and same with your foundation.

Highlighter – MAC Mineralize Skinfinish

For the lips:
Lip Primer – MAC Prep + Prime Lip
Liner – MAC Lip Pencil color Dervish
Lip color – Smashbox Always On Matte Liquid Lipstick color Big Spender

For the eyes/brows:
Fake Lashes – Red Cherry model 747S
Lash Glue – Fing´rs
Under eye highlight – Smashbox Cali Contour Palette
Finishing spray – MAC Prep + Prime Fix Rose

I really loved my makeup and think it was the right decision doing it by myself. I also know that it was kind of colorful and bold since most brides go with a nude lipstick and just a hint of blush, but this is how I am and how I feel best so I think this was totally appropriate for me cause in the end I was the bride and had to feel as comfortable and pretty as possible.

Thanks for stopping by. Take care. See you.

Sinister Halloween table scape….

….

Good morning friends,
(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung – Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)
can you tell me what happened over night? Why it is freezing in the morning? As much as I love fall I am not ready for frozen car windows and super cold leather seats. I broke out my winter coat today cause it only had 1 degrees outside. Anyways let´s get to today´s post.

Are there any other holiday loving, Christmas awaiting folks over here ??

I love the holidays. Love. Love. Love. I don´t know why – maybe because of the festive mood or the family get togethers or the delicioius food or maybe everything together – I just love it. Starting with the beginning of fall there are lots of holidays coming like Halloween, Thanksgiving and of course Christmas.

So let´t start with the first one – Halloween. Usually we are at home for Halloween, watch some scary movies and hand out candy to all the trick-or-treaters on our street but last year we headed to the Europapark in Rust, Germany for their Halloween decorated theme park and their parades. It was magical and mystical all in one. Have a look at the hotel here.

So since we are sticking with our old schedule this year we are having a Halloween dinner date at home including some scary decoration and sinister foods.

I am sharing my Halloween table scape today to give you some inspiration for the most horrifying day of the year.
I got this blood drenched table runner from Galeria Kaufhof, a store I personally love. They have all kinds of place mats, kitchen towels, aprons and cotton napkins. I added a chandelier with black candles to the table cause I think this will always fit just change the color of the candles and put on some spider webs.

The black lanterns are from Ikea and I filled them up with straw I had left from our bridesmaid boxes. Always good to keep stuff like that cause you never know when you will need it again.

The grave stone placards are from amazon. Be sure to have a look since they do have lots of interesting stuff like crows and bones and spiderwebs.

All the other things are pretty random and easy to get year round like the black cotton napkins, the napkin rings and the place mats.

The punch I made is from Martha Stewart and I also made some hummus to serve with crackers and got some Italian antipasti  as an entrée. The main course included a steak cause I couldn´t think of a better halloween food than a bloody piece of meat on my plate.

Are you planing on celebrating a dinner date/party at home or are you going out. I love staying in and scaring the neighbours children.

The checked pant and bucket bag….

cardigan old similar here and here / shirt old similar here and here / checked pants H&M / bucket bag Mango / heels Buffalo sold out similar here and here / sunnies Rayban Aviator / belt H&M

….

Hello friends,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung-Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)
I really love me a good pair of stretchy pants which aren´t made of denim and even better when they include plaid. Plaid is one of the most worn patterns in terms of my fall obsession. It really gets me in the mood and I totally love all the variety and different plaids which are on the market.

I recently got this pair of slacks at H&m and I love it. Since the pattern includes so many different colors there are lots of possibilites to style it differently.

The bag I am wearing is a bucket bag I got from Mango during our honeymoon (I have forgotten a lot of stuff, this usually never happens so I had to buy a lot of thing during our vacation – mostly toiletries). I know that this style has been around quite a while but I totally adore it and can´t stop wearing it. Maybe it was also about finding the right bag for me. Anyways there are so many different ones out there and I think they are great for day and night.

A chestnut colored cardigan or sweater has became a must-have staple piece for fall. Not only is it the ultimate fall color, it is also such a great shade to combine with other colors.

Be sure to enter last weeks giveaway. It is open until Friday.

Food Friday – homemade apple cider for fall festivities…

….
Happy Friday you guys,
(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung-Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)
as fall is my favorite season in terms of weather, clothing and food on weekends you can find me glued to my kitchen counter and trying out new recipes. I don´t care if it is a hearty dish, a sweet treat or even a drink.
So since there isn´t any hot apple cider available in Germany I made my own.
So here is what you need:
– 12 apples – obviously (I mixed sweet and sour)
– 2 oranges
– cinnamon
– cloves grounded
– sugar
– water
– whiskey or bourbon if you like
How-to:
– peel and cut the apples and put into a huge pot
– peel and cut your orange and add to the pot
– add the spices and the sugar to your fruit in the pot

!function(doc,s,id){ var e, p, cb; if(!doc.getElementById(id)) { e = doc.createElement(s); e.id = id; cb = new Date().getTime().toString(); p = ‚//shopsensewidget.shopstyle.com/widget-script.js?cb=1539238219385?cb=‘ + cb; e.src = p; doc.body.appendChild(e); } if(typeof window.ss_shopsense === ‚object‘){ if(doc.readyState === ‚complete‘){ window.ss_shopsense.init(); } } }(document, ’script‘, ’shopsensewidget-script‘); – cover with water
– let it cook for a short time and then let it simmer at a medium temperature for about two hours
– be sure to have a look and stir from time to time
– puree everything in your pot and let it simmer for another 45 minutes
– serve hot with a stick of cinnamon (and additional a shot of whiskey or bourbon)

I am going to serve this as an aperitif for our Thanksgiving dinner. It is the perfect fall drink.

As always thanks for stopping by. Take care. See you.

And make sure you enter yesterdays  giveaway.
