and welcome to day three of our fall week festivites. I am talking beauty over here today. Although I am pretty much using the same beauty pieces throughout the whole year, as soon as the leaves change my colors do to. I am going from a light pink or vibrant pink shade into a more darker purply or cooler tone or from a neon orange to a deep cooper shade. Fall is a new season and with a new season there are always a lot of changes happening not only in nature.

My go to nailpolish colors for fall are dark blues and greens, a deep purple and of course black. And I really didn´t mind as I saw this gorgeous copper shade. Essie totally rocked the season with their fall colors 18 collection. They have a few more shades but I only got these two (cooper tone is Say it ain´t Soho and the blue is Booties on Broadway)- so far.

Since I tend to the more berry shades when the temperatures drop I have found a blush palette I love and get so much use out of. This mostly never happens and that is one reason I don´t buy blush palettes at all but these are the perfect shades. It is the Smashbox Color Blush Palette in berry. So adorable and the hues are the prettiest. The darkest one matches perfect with Rebel or Amorous from MAC and the middle shade works so well with my liquid lipsticks from Bobbi Brown (color Vintage Rose) or even Smashbox and my favorite lip color from Maybelline Rosewood Road. The lightest shade is great to use as a highlighter over the berry blush´s or as a blush itself. Snob from MAC for example would be adorable paired to this fresh and light shade.

The lipsticks I have mentioned above are my fall staples. I rotate them on a daily base and love how the deep and vibrant colors can transfer a whole look into a moody stage.

My favorites are MAC Chili – a burnt orange shade with a redish undertone, MAC Rebel – a vibrant purple shade with a cool undertone, MAC Persistence a darker nude color with an apricot undertone (my go-to color), MAC Amorous – a berry shade on the pinkish side which I totally adore and my latest addition Bobbi Brown – Vintage Rose – a gorgeous rosewood shade.
I have finally got my hands on the Body Shop limited fall edition products. Totally forgot about it last year so it was already sold out until I thought of it. But I had it on my radar this year, ordered still in August and also caught a great day on their site with 25 % off sitewide. The this years collection is called Fall for Pumpkin and it inlcudes the amazing mixture of pumpkin and vanilla. So so awesome. I got the hand lotion and also the body butter. They also offer a shower gel. 
Do you switch your makeup routine by the change of the seasons or do you stick to your alltime favorites and everyday pieces??

there is something about an all gray look which makes me feel so cozy but still put together. Gray is in no way just a sports suit color anymore. It has become a staple color in the fashion world and I exactly know why. It is the perfect basic color to pair with other vibrant colors and it totally turns down a look on the more casual side but also you can definitely rock a monochromatic look in gray or even wear a  sequin dress in a dark gray hue to a chic event. Gray totally suits everyone and isn´t boring at all.

I paired this light gray oversized blazer style cardigan with a white shirt and a snake patterned overlong scarf and completed the look with a fashionable wool hat and a metallic hand bag. You can easily play with different shades of gray whether the material or hue is different. Just try it and you will see it is going to match. This is my recomendation if you are not a color person.  It doesn´t have to be black, beige and brown all the time. And also if you are a heels person just swap them for your comfortable shoes of choice.

How to make your house smell like fall…

it seemed like forever until we finally got the cooler temps. From the beginning until the end of August I was craving fall so bad. I couldn´t help it but I was fed up of the super hot weather and ready for fall.

So since this is the first week of October I have a week full of fall themed post planned. From home decor to style, to recipes and even a giveaway so stay tuned.

Since I am such a huge fan of fall I am decorating the living room of our house and also our front porch (view last years decoration here) and I enjoy it each and every time. It sets my decoration process from Fall to Winter to Christmas.

But today I am talking about scents. Every house has its own unique inside smell. Not everyone likes the smell of other houses but it is a scent we connect with home, comfort and coziness.

I am a real lover of the Fall and Winter scents and I love that there are new mixtures every year. I am especially going crazy for everything pumpkin and cinnamon scented. But believe it can get quite expensive when you are buying a jar of each candle you could like so I opted for another system this year. 

TARTES is the key word. They are pressed into whatever shape and made out of wax including the same fragrance you would get in a jar. I got a wax melt warmer from Yankee Candle in this super cool silver color gradient optic. It is so pretty and totally matches our living room. So there are just two steps left now. 

Put a tealight into your wax warmer and cut of the desired amount of wax of your tarte. Let it melt and enjoy your gorgeous smelling home. The tartes are super intense. The whole house is smelling really good after about half an hour. They are totally worth it and also a little goes a long way.

I really love scents in our house around the Fall/Winter time cause we spend so much time inside and why not making it as nice and comfortable as possible.
 My favorite scent is Pumpkin Spice from Village Candle – the best pumpkin candle I have ever bought. I am heartbroken that they have discontinued to make them. So I am buying what´s left of it.

Makeup Tutorial – the nudes for everday….

welcome to my first ever makeup tutorial. I hope I am not doing too bad. I am sharing my recent favorite makeup look. I have never been a huge fan for nude lips as I always thought it looks a little strange blending in your lips with your makeup (cause I am all for color) but since I discovered this MAC Lipstick which still counts as a nude shade/color I am all for it. The shade is called Persistence (I would say it is a medium brown color with a warm undertone) and I also have the matching liner in the color Spice. I bought this Lip Duo as I got a gift card for the MAC store and as much as I wanted to leave with a red set I got the nude lip duo and loved it ever since.

I am wearing this color almost on a daily base and totally adore it. It had the perfect undertone to match my skincolor. I also have the Whirl lipstick but I don´t like it that much. In my opinion it is a little to harsh for me.


So here is the rest of my tutorial:


Clinique All About Eyes Cream – Anti Blemish Solutions all-over clearing treatment // In the mornings after cleaning/washing my face and before putting on my make-up I use a moisturizer and an eye-cream. Both are from Clinique (currently as I am trying out new products all the time). The Clinique all about eyes cream has a rich texture which I think is perfect for the under eye region to keep it moisturized, depuffed and awake looking. The face cream I am using is the Clinique Anti Blemish solutions all-over clearing treatment. It is a light, non oily face lotion which moisturizes your skin without leaving a greasy feel. And it also helps to prevent new breakouts and clear the old ones. I have used it about a two months now and really like it. I would stick to it but i my opinion it is too light for fall and winter.


Urban Decay Optical Illusion Primer // After that I usually use a concealer but I skipped it here for a primer instead. I have gotten the Urban Decay Optical Illusion Primer in a sample size as I purchased their All Nighter setting spray and have used it ever since. It defenitely evens out your skin and makes it extra smooth. And that creates such an even look. Definitely gonna buy the big size when it´s empty.


MAC Studio Fix Foundation // The foundation I am using is the MAC studio fix in the color NC15 and I loved it since I got it. The coverage is amazing and it is buildable without looking like a mask. I got it for my wedding makeup and also used it for several other shoots. Although I have tried many more from other brands I totally adore this one.


Maybelline Fit Me Presed Powder // For additional coverage I am using the Maybelline Fit Me face powder in shade 105. I am convinced that their powder keeps my skin a lot longer matte than any other I have tried so far. 


MAC Brow Sculpt // For my eyebrows I am using the MAC Brow Sculpt in color Fling. I didn´t like it from the beginning cause I had a brow powder before and the pencil feels like a crayon but I have got used to fill in my brows with it and I would purchase it again. Also the color I got really matches my real eyebrow tone so there is no overcoloring.


Essence Lash Princess Mascara // My mascara is the Lash Princess Sculpted Volume Mascara from essence and although it is the cheapest mascara I have ever gotten it is awesome. It creates super thick and super long lashes. One of the best drug store mascaras on the market. Lots of times it is sold out.


Benefit Hoola Bronzer // This is such a basic piece 90% of the women I know have in their makeup bag but it is also pretty versatile. You can use it as bronzer, blush or even as eyeshadow. I personally love using it as a blush for a natural look on my cheeks.

Sephora Face Shimmering Powder // For highlighting my bronzer I am using the face shimmering powder from Sephora in color 02 natural glow. It is such a pretty product. The pigmentation is incredible good and also the product itself is really pretty. 


Smashbox Cali Contour Palette // My most used shade in this palette is the lightest shade as I use it for brightening up my under eye area and also highlight my under brow section. But I also love using the two highlight shades above my blush. I have to admit I don´t use it to contour that much. 


MAC Matte Lipstick – MAC Lip Pencil // I love lipsticks. If I only could use a few pieces of my makeup lipsticks would always be on top. I just love to add some color to my look. Lipstick expresses my feels for the day. Do I feel great and overall happy I am mostly choosing a more bold and vibrant color. That is how I express my mood in my makeup. I have talked about this lip duo at the beginning of my post so I am not gonna rave about it again although I love it pretty much.


Wow this has been a long post. I am sorry if it was a bit too much information but these are all the products I used for this look and I wanted to at least give you some basic information why I use and like them.
