Valentine´s Day is next week and I can not believe that we can´t go to dinner this year cause all of the restraurants will still be closed. But we can still enjoy ourselves at home am I right? With plenty of take-out and all of the cheesy and romantic movies Netflix has to offer. You bet I will definitely wear a red lip with my sweatpants 😉 But before we go into further details about the shades I have picked for today´s blog post – have you seen my feet. I am wearing heels in this post. I am missing my dear heels so much. There is rarely an opportunity for me to wear them anymore. On some days I open their closet and look at all of them and talk to them so they won´t feel lonely. #crazyshoelady over here but don´t tell anybody 😉

and happy 1rst of February as well. I can not believe the majority of Winter is already over also we „only“ have two weeks of lockdown left plus my sweet little baby girl is turning one next month. ONE YEAR!!!! I started party planning already and as much as I enjoy to get back to one of my favorite hobbies (there hasn´t been much event planning the last year) it is a bittersweet event for me. 

Not going to bore you with further details about my girl growing up and leaving her mom behind. Not that I am being to dramatic. Anyways let´s have a look at January´s Instagram pics. There are quite a lot although nothing interesting was open and we were home most of the time but it was my birthday two weeks ago and maybe that inspired me.

Lot´s of snow and cold weather pics still and I think it won´t change for the foreseable future. I am confident outfits stay interesting and colorful this year. Normally January is the month I don´t know what to wear at all so it will be all black or gray all the time.

I have shot some Valentine´s Day content last weekend which will be on the blog this week. It will be another make-up and fashion post but hey that is what I love.

the week is finally over and I wnated to share another Valentine´s Day themed post with you. I am a lipstick addict through and through and I think you know that by following me and reading my blog.

I have done several lipstick posts over the years and red always was my favorite color. So I think I don´t have to tell you twice that after I saw this gorgeous YSL lipstick I was totally sold. Aren´t the love sign and the little hearts the cutest?????

I got the red lipstick as it is and added the little heart cap – actually there are tons of different caps to put on your lipsticks. Step up the game and add a little pattern and glitter. 

The lipstick I am wearing is called Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture Lipstick in color 110 Help. It is a bright red with an orange undertone and so beautiful. The finish is mat and the texture so smooth. Doesn´t dry out your lips at all. I think the LOVE cap is limited so I would be quick to get it. I know that 36 Euro are super pricey for a lipstick but it definitely gives you that luxurious feel and also last for a long time (I am using my lipsticks way past the expiration date – just look if they are still ok). 

Another cute feature of the brand is that you can get different caps to change the look of your lipstick. It absolutely is and unnecessary almost frivolous item but it is so pretty.

Constantly wearing masks out in the public is so annoying when you are a lipstick lover but with the new FFP2 masks that are required to wear everywhere it got better. The shape is different and is not dipping into your lipstick.

Do you guys have plans for Valentine´s Day? Germany is going to be locked down until the 14th of Feburary (which will hopefully be the end).

the weekend is very near but if you currently are a stay-at-home mom  or working from home your days might look very similar. We are in our second hard lockdown in Germany which means shops, restaurants and schools are closed and will remain so until the middle of February.

We have gotten really tired of watching TV and I never thought I would say this. Our one and most occupying activity from the last lockdown has been our newborn baby but this time is different so we have been on the hunt for other things to do. Let´s dive into it.

Lockdown Activities

#1 Coloring Book

I started this recently and I love it more than I have thought. The coloring book is from Johanna Basford and has the most beautiful flower patterns to color I have ever seen. I was mesmerized by it immediately and am so happy I got it. It takes quite some time to fill a whole page with color. Great to kill time. These are the pens I am using and I find them to be the best (Stabilo Pens / Edding Pens.

#2 Puzzle

This has been one of our lockdown favorites from before. A 1000 piece puzzle is so hard to finish but that is the thing behind it. It costs time and distracts and is really funny if you are puzzling together. The puzzle is Jafar from the Disney Villains Limited Edition. Definitely going to get Captain Hook next.

#3 Playstation Game

Getting a Playstation game for more than one player to play the same game together was a first for us and I hesitated a little because I never play and am quite bad (my husband plays a lot of game and mostly every day so he is used how to play with the controller, I have always been more of a computer games girl) but it turned out to be awesome. Sackboy is so so cute and would also be great to play with your child. I am totally hooked right now and will be ordering Little Big Planet very soon.

#4 Daily Walks

Physical activity is very important. If you have to stay at home a lot getting on daily walks is cruel. The fresh air and moving around sets endorphines free which are very important to prevent bad moods / depressions and if the sun is shining you also get some extra vitamin D. 

#5 Organizing

I have been organizing like crazy for the last few weeks. Room by room and drawer after drawer and I am happy to say that I am already through organizing every closet in the house. This leaves me feeling so happy and accomplished. Although the shops are closed I got everything I needed from amazon. Their pieces for organisation are next level.

#6 Cooking /Baking

Now is the time to try those recipes that have been sitting in your kitchen drawers for like forever. I have been making a ton of new things with our Instant Pot and also pinned some recipes I am going to try very soon. This is definitely a nice way to spend your time. If you are searching for a partner activity you can cook together.
