 gingham is such a huge trend for summer you can´t get away without owning any piece of it. I have several pieces but this dress is one of the nicest I got. Have you seen the beautiful sleeves ? They are gorgeous. A simple black and white gingham print is so versatile cause you can pair it with so many vibrant colors. Wouldn´t yellow be nice too?


When you are reading this we are already on our way to Italy and I am so excited. I have never been to the place we are heading. So coo.

Casual Saturday #9….

this week has been a whirlwind on events.

On Sunday we had our weekly Indian take away dinner at Florian´s parents house. On Monday I had a line dance lesson, on Tuesday we went out for dinner and had to get several presents upfront. Florian´s sisters birthday party was on Wednesday. There was a company party on Friday an another birthday is today.So I am glad I already packed otherwise I think I would have to go on vacation with nothing but my travel outfit. Phew.

TV:
So after the enumeration of events we attend it might be no surprise that the TV was off the whole week.
But I started watching a few episodes The Client List with Jennifer Love Hewitt on Saturday evening last week and I really liked it. It is funny but still has some serious and important themes of everyday life and just the right amount of drama.

Food:
There wasn´t really anything we cooked this week. It truly is sad cause almost all we had was grilled stuff. 
We had been to a Thai restaurant on tuesday and the food was amazing. And by amazing I mean it.

Shopping:
And there wasn´t even time for shopping. I have seen some things on the internet like theses two dresses from bonprix. Polka dots and stripes are my all time favorite patterns. 

And I have ordered these sandals from New Look via Zalando but I am never quite sure about white shoes ?! Sometimes when I look down at my shoes I don´t like the white color at all and I love white for everything. Well maybe it is just me.
Another thing I got are these two candles. I love testing out the samplers from Yankee Candle or Village Candle to get to know the scent before buying a big jar and not using it. 
My hit is Black Coconut it smells so much like a masculine summer night. I didn´t like Summer Scoop to much cause it has such a light and sweet scent that I don´t like at all.

So guys that has been everything so far for this week.

the weekend is finally here which means we are on vacation next week (insert fireworks here). I am so happy and totally looking forward to seeing new places, eating good food and much more. Yeah Italy !!!!

But let´s focus. Isn´t this dress beautiful. Since denim became such a huge part in our fashion lives (bag, shoes, pants, jackets, button downs and much more) a denim dress also makes the perfect addition to our wardrobe. The sleeves can be worn normal or like I did in the off shoulder way. 
It really has much fabric and to be honest wasn´t easy to iron but by the second you put it on you feel like kind of a modern saloon lady (or maybe that was just me). You can easily pair it with any color you like. Yellow or mint would be cute too and so fashionable.

What are your plans for the weekend ?
In fact we lots of stuff to do before heading out early Monday morning….

since travel season is in its fullest and we are also on vacation in two weeks I started to get some of the beauty items together I want to take with me. We are going to travel by car so I am not really limited regarding the space or the number of things I am taking with me but lots of you are travelling by plane so I wanted to structure this unitary for everyone. 
So let´s get over to packing. Since last year I am always taking a hair dryer in travel size with me. We had the worst hair dryers even at great hotels (or none) and I just feel more comfortable using my own. I got the Remington on the go hair dryer.

 Another small zipper bag I am taking with me is this one from Douglas. It fits the theme really nice as it says „time to travel“. I am storing all the small stuff we are taking with us like medicine, my dietary supplement, cleaning wipes for glasses, scissors and tweezers etc. 


One more product I found for all the bigger bottles which don´t fit into another case is this one from amazon. It looks like the case of a sleeping bag from the outside but it really fits a lot.

Now we are heading over to the beauty department. I always purchase the products we are using in a travel size. First of all they are not as big and as heavy as the originals and they are super cute. It depends on where you are heading but make sure to take sun-protection with you. This is very important for your skin, you won´t get a sunburn in your vacation. This would be too bad.
When I am on vacation I a not using eyeshadow on a regular base so I am just taking a small palette with some nude shades like the L´oréal Paris The Nudes with me. Speaking of applying eyeshadow, the brushes I need are stored in this beautiful pink brush case.  
For removing my make-up I am taking the Tea Tree Make-up Remover Wipes from The Body Shop with me. They leave your face super clean and with a nice and fresh feeling. Also I am adjusting my face lotion to the climate whether is a dry air or the humidity is very high. To avoid breakouts caused by bacterias I am bringing my own face towels with me cause you never know what products they use for washing.
