My motto of getting dressed has always been you dress for the job and since my job is being a mom of two now I am mostly dressed a lot more casual than I was before.
This doesn´t mean that I can´t look great or dress cute but just different. I have swapped my beloved high heels for sneakers and flats so many times but I still love my outfits and this one especially.
A pair of denim and a t-shirt might be super casual but I have added some charme and dressd it up with an adorable orange tweed blazer.
Isn´t Spring the greatest time in terms of flowers. They are blooming everywhere, adding much needed color to boring and depressing corners and overall are just the perfect background for pinctures.
This magnolia tree on the castle grounds is a backdrop I look forward to every year cause it is just a stunning piece of nature. The big and lush blooms and the magnificent color. A real stunner.
But let´s have a quick chat about the outfit. Denim midi skirt are back and more popular than ever. Try to get a piece you really want instead of what´s left. Just kidding but also kind´a not.
I have dressed it pretty casusal and springish for this outfit. A blouse is a very effortless piece you should have in your closet cause it is super easy to style and always looks put together. I tied the front to shorten it a little which fit even better into the casual theme of the look.
And last but not least a staple piece of my closet I can not deny away – a pair of sneakers. White for this look but to be honest I have aquired quite the collection throughout the years cause it is the easiest choice if you are after your kids all day.
I love home deocr. It is my second passion after fashion and I love to change the decor in our home but mostly just swap out some pieces to keep it fitting into my main decor theme.
Lately I have been loving anyhting Western or Wild West themed and I wanted to incorporate more of this up and coming trend into my living room style.
How to add some Western Chic to your Living Room
Materials
The first materials that come to my mind are leather, cow hide, denim and wood.
Patterns
There are several pattern I have loved and I would also try to incorporate. Of course everything in moderation to give it that Wild West flair. It can look tacky pretty quick. First of all a cow spots pattern is a classic. Another pattern but very underrated and often not thought about is a native american pattern (hopefully I am not offending anyone but I just didn´t know how else to call it). Horses of course are amazing.
Colors
I would say the typical colors to incorporate are hues of brown from wood and horses, dark orange form the stones, dark green from the little fresh trees which are left, turquoise from the lakes and skies and beige from the pampas grass.
Greenery
I would guess that there wasn´t much greenery in the Wild West so we go with pampas grass here, as well as cactuses.
Typical Wild West Pieces
I´d say a cow skull or buffallo somewhere on a picture or as a sculpture.
So this is how our living room looks at the moment. I am very pleased how it has turned out. I have always loved the Western theme and movies, colors and clothes so it was about time to add this little decor changes to our home.
I have had a huge color crush on Pink and it still is going strong so it will be no surprise to my dearest readers that I am going to incorporate it as much as possible into my Summer wardrobe.
Flower prints are the perfect way to pick your accessories in a solid color and let them stand out.
