Hi guys,

after our stay at the Europapark Rust we dediced to vistit Straßbourg for our last day. This really made sense because the city was only about 50 km away so it was a quick 30 minutes ride to this beautiful small french city.

After being owned by the Germans and a short time as a free city, Straßbourg was earned back by the french people and still belongs to them until today.

The city is famous for different european courts but also for tannery. This happened in petite france. A small quarter a little offside of the city centre. But this kind of work has been discontinued for a long time now and all that still remains are the buildings which where famous for it.

If you enter the city from the car parks you are just a few corners away from a huge and impressive church called Notre Dame. It is really really big like if you are trying to get the whole building on one photo you would fall back. Before the church there is a huge place with lots of different cafe´s and bistro´s. We went for lunch to one of them after exploring the streets of Straßbourg.

If you are planing on eating lunch be sure to try out the Quiche Lorraine – a famous french dish including eggs, bacon and onions.
Right when we entered the city I found a souvenir shop that was right up my alley. Beautiful ceramic mugs, fluffy fleece lined christmas socks and gingerbread men all around.
You can wander around and explore the city by foot but it you really want to see anything I would recommend a boat ride. We did one and it was really great. Do wouldn´t notice that Straßbourg has so many bridges until you go on a boat.
Thanks for stopping by. Take care. See you.

Travelling with a dog – sharing my top products….

….

Hi guys,

about five weeks ago we got back from our south tirol trip and you may have noticed that we took
Chloe with us this time. Usually she stays at my parents’ house when we are
gone for a few days but we always miss her so much so this time she was with
us. And I have to admit that there can´t be so many more things for travelling
with a baby than with a dog. She almost had a bigger bag than me.

We informed
us about dog friendly places upfront (hotels and restaurants) cause you can´t
take your dog everywhere with you but since she can´t stay alone in the hotel
room she had to be with us the whole time.
So here is
a list of all the things we took with us including Chloe

 – Car box
with a soft blanket inside (she loves to ride by car – she falls asleep the
minute after we start the engine)
– sleep
cushion
– feeding
cups
– water cup
for on-the-go (this is pretty cool)
 – water for
the car ride (we usually drink water with gas so I made sure to have a bottle
for Chloe without)
– blanket
– towels – we
went to lakes to get her refreshed
– different leashes
– I took a short one and a longer one with us (didn´t want to take her of the
leash as she doesn´t know the surroundings)
Food – I got
these small bowls for her. They are packed for one meal each so I can throw
them away and don´t have a big opened can in the hotel refrigerator

Feel free to ask me any other questions if there is something I forgot.

Thanks for stopping by.

Take care. See you.

Hi dolls,
(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)
today I am writing about the second city we went to while our trip to south-tyrol, to Bolzano. You can view last weeks post about Bressanone here.

We only had one day and one night to stay in Bolzano. So after checking-out at our hotel in Bressanone we went on a half hour drive to get to our next destination. The Eggentaler hotel in Bolzano. It was a really nice hotel. Nondescript on the outside but wow in the inside. A really modern hotel with a countryfied twist. I don´t know if that makes sense to you, you probably gotta see it on your own.

After checking-in we went directly to the city centre. I especially wanted to go to Bolzano cause they have my two favorite stores in Italy – Kiko Milano and Carpisa. They really have some beautiful pieces of make-up and handbags there.

After shopping we went to a big place in the middle of the city where all the restaurants and coffees where located and had some lunch. The view was amazing. You can have a look at all the old buildings and at the same time you can see the mountains very clear since you are at the lowest point in the valley.

The weather wasn´t so nice. It rained from time to time but it was still warm so we didn´t mind. We went back to the hotel and rested a little before we went back into the city to have some food. It was a completet different scenery in the evening cause they where almost no people left. We had a quick dinner and went back to the hotel as a big thunderstorm started, although we had to pack for the next day cause I wanted to get to Merano as early as possible in the next morning so I wouldn´t miss the market.
The buildings are really pretty although I think they aren´t as typically Italian as they would be way down south. They have lots of arcs and underpasses on their main streets.
This really was a quick round up today but as I mentioned we only had one full day there so we didn´t do this much.
The last city we went to will be up next week. So stay tuned.
As always thanks for stopping by.
Take care. See you.

Hi guys,
(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affilate Links-not sponsored)
first of all you need to have a closer look where are you going and what are you doing cause this is such a versatile country. You may need different kinds of things for city trip than for a more adventorous stay outside the capitals.

Since we decided to mix and match our trip like this there are a little more things in my suitcase than usual. So let´s start.

So what do you think about the suitcase ? Isn´t it cool. It is from suitsuit (I recently discovered this brand as I was on the hunt for a new suitcase and I did not want to spend a fortune) and they are available in two sizes and in a bunch of different colors. I had a hard time on deciding which one I should take (wanted this color so badly but I am not 12 anymore).

Let´get over to packing. I love to take colorful and patterned skirts with me on vacation, this means I always have several kinds of white shirts/t-shirts/tops with me. That already makes the half of my vacation wardrobe. The other half are mostly swimsuits, shoes and other kinds of accessories. I try to keep my accessories in colors which match most of my wardrobe. For summer yor are always good to go with nude or white or blush tones for your handbags for example. But as it turns out (always) I am overpacked at the end and could stay about 3 weeks longer than we booked. Oops 🙂 #packingproblems

I do have a several post on what beauty items I am packing for our stay in Italy wich is going to be up next week so stay tuned.

As always thanks for stopping by.

Take care. See you.
