I finally got my christmas tree ready. I am beyond excited to share the whole tree with all the beautiful ornaments today cause I really love how it turned out. The flocked branches make the tree look so frosty and wintry.

For this years color theme I decided to got with this pretty green color paired with single white and silver ornaments (I had a red tree last year you can view it here).
The one things I wanted on my tree this year so badly where the candy canes and aren´t they cute?

I really love Christmas time and I can´t tell why it´s this way in particular. Maybe its the Christmas markets or all the lights everywhere or maybe it is the festive mood and the gift giving. All the deocoration and the punch or the children´s joy. It might also be the right mixture of it. Or maybe it is because of all the great Christmas songs so I am sharing my ultimate Spotify Christmas playlist with you guys. These are my favorite songs for Christmas time. They are on evey time I get home until I go to bed.

I always loved decorating my home and since we moved into our house this really became a passion to me.

A great way to decorate is with coffeetable books. These are books which look pretty on the outside with a nice cover in a pretty color or with a pattern. There are several book from designers which in my opinion own the coffeetable scene.
You can see them in so many different blogger homes. But this really is a nice side effect.

Most of the books have a real story inside not only pictures. Whether is is a biography or a self-help book, a book for advice or just a nice story, the books aren´t empty and after reading you can incorporate them in your decoration process.

Some of them are pretty affordable but some (for example the high-fashion design labels like Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Dior.. ) can be really pricey (about 60 Euro and more) so you have to decide by yourself whether if you are interested in the book or not.

since I love the holidays and I love to cook it was the easiest conclusion to say I am hosting a holiday party before my usual Christmas party this year.

I decided to invite some of our closest friends for a nice and relaxed but festive evening with good food, wine and a pretty tablescape.

I opted for a red and gold table scape and it turned out great. Somehow I am always gravitating around red but it is just the prettiest and traditional Christmas color but there is a huge change in decor this year so stay tuned, post is going to be up next week.

The little favors on each plate include a few chocolate pralinés and I thought it would be a really nice idea to give something. Also they match with the decor so it was probably a win-win situation.

I like to serve an aperitif to give to the guests when they arrive. It is much nicer to stand or gather and chat a little at first waiting till everyone arrives than sitting there and waiting for the food.

I made cranberry mimosas as an aperitif which turned out really good. It is a pretty simple recipe. Just mix champagne and cranberry juice how you think it tastes best. This way you can decide on your own if you like it either light or strong. I mixed ones bottle of chamgagne with one bottle of cranberry juice. For decor and also for adding some flavor I added some mint leavs on stems and raspberries.

I wanted to have a little more rustic charm that is why I put them into mason jars and not into champagne flutes. Another reason was cause I wanted to use this super cute straws with the bells in the middle.

fall is in its full swing and I couldn´t be happier. Since this is my favorite season of the year I am always making a big effort to decorate and enjoy the few months before the cold and long winter.

I love to decorate with pumpkins whether they are real or made of ceramics. We also went to a really big pumpkin patch two weeks ago and I loved it there. I have never seen so many pumpkins.

Another thing I love for fall are fall candles. Especially the big jars from Yankee Candle or Village Candle, they also make some pretty beeautiful decoaration pieces. I love the wooden flavors and anything cider related but the best ones are the pumpkin flavors which are always selling out so fast.

Being able to wear hats and boots again is something I am really looking forward too. Not only a fashionable aspect. They are just some of my most favorite accessories.

Does anyone beside me has the feeling that fall is making everything new. With a fresh year of school starting after the summer vacation and also so many brandnew pieces the online stores offer the new season is almost palpable. I love browsing through the „that´s new“ sections of my favorite online retailers on my sofa while enjoying a hot cup of coca or a pumpkin spice latte.

I recently got the Pumpkin Spice Syrup from Monin I have seen on someone´s Insta Stories.
