by browsing my recipe tab you will probably notice that I love to bake. Finding new recipes to try or creating some by myself is a real pleasure to me although it takes a lot of time and dedication and overall patience. So most of the time I am reaching for easy recipes which look like they made a lot of work. Gingerbread houses are one of these. Not only do they look adorable they also taste really good. So if you get tired of looking at it just eat it. 

Over all the Christmas cookie baking we often forget about how much fun it is to make one of the gingerbread houses (at least over here). And it is even more fun and so eary if you can use a template. So for today´s giveaway I a have a whole set of gingerbread house cutters for a stressfree baking.

Also I am sharing a recipe below so you can bake your own right after receiving your package. And let me tell you it tastes delicious but be sure to make enough so your house won´t miss anything.
Ingredients:
for the dough:
– 250 gr of honey
– 150 gr of butter 
– 250 gr of brown sugar
– 400 gr of flour
– 200 gr of almonds, grounded
– 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
– 1 teaspoon of gingerbread spice
– 1 tablespoon of cocoa
– 1 egg
– roll out the dough and cut out all the shapes you need for your house
– bake for about 25 minutes at 180 degrees
– be sure to let them cool down before you glue them together

for the frosting:
– 500 gr. confectioners sugar
– 2 egg whites


– mix it together and be sure to have a creamy consistency, if it is to dry it won´t stick same goes the other way

for the decoration:
– M&M´s 
– cookies
– mini marshmallows
– candy canes

I am back (after a little break) with giveaway #8 from my 10 days of giveaways series. Last week has been such a whirlwind and I had so so so much to do that I made a promise to myself, I am never ever again going to take so many appointments for ones week. I totally forgot about one and almost forgot a second one too.
But this weeks posts are going to be back regularly and in order (I need that for my sanity and also you guys know what´s up each day).
But let´s get to today´s topic. Who gets super dry skin in the winter months and hates it? I bet there where many hands up in the air. Me too guys, but I have found a product line I love and always switch back when winter time rolls around.  

The Neutrogena body lotion is my absolute favorite when it comes to dry, itchy and flaky skin. There probably isn´t a feeling I hate more than getting out of the shower and having the feeling of tight skin. Everybody who get´s extreme dry skin knows what I am talking about when I say your skin feels like it is too small for you.

I use the Neutrogena body lotion for very dry skin after every shower/bath. It enriches your skin with the moisture it needs while it soaks in very quick and leaves a smooth and enjoyable feeling on your skin. Also the hand cream is the perfect addition to throw into your handbag for when your are on the go. Washing and sanitizing your hands many times throughout the days (flu season is right around the corner) leaves your hands dry and itchy. Also the prettiest nail polish doesn´t look good when your hands are dry and bloody.

Holiday Party – frosty table scape in silver and white + Giveaway winners…

I am finally sharing the winter wonderland inspired table scape I set up for our holiday party two weeks ago!!! How can it possibly be almost the middle of December. Christmas is on the day two weeks away and there is so much I wanted to get done before. 

So first things first. Let´s start by sharing this adorable table scape with you so I can at least cross one thing of my list. 

I wanted to have an all whimsical and frosty table scape for this years Holiday party (party for our friends, not family there) so I incorporated lots of white and silver. By putting it together I had a little fear that it could turn out super boring but I absolutely loved it in the end.

I went with gray table runners speckled with white stars and snowflakes all over. To stay in the theme the platters where also silver as most of the table decor. The cotton napkins are also a light hue of gray. Meanwhile I prefer cotton napkins over disposable ones cause you just need to wash them and they are ready for their next use. Aaaand they add a much more luxe look to the whole table. The napkin rings are the most funny and pretty I have seen in a while and they completed the theme perfectly.
 So for the decoration I added a silver garland to beginn with. In the middle of the garland I put the candle holder including gray candles. For the rest of the table decor I opted for silver and white ornaments. I really love decorating with ornaments and since there are so many different shapes and colors it will probably never get old. To add some wintery and frosty feels I got a bunch of pinecones from our drug store and also a little wodden sleigh and glittery trees. 
The rest of it was kept pretty simple. White plates, silver cutlery and simple glasses. I really didn´t want to loose the focus on the decor.  
As a little guest favor I got these adorable little Raffaelo snowflakes.
It was such a nice evening with lots of stories and laugther and everybody was filled with good food and drinks as they left.
