Christmas PJ´s and Netflix Christmas movie guide…

….
Hello guys,
(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)
sorry for posting so late today but I we have scheduled four appointments for today and are only through half of them so I have been running around all day today to get everything ready. About two weeks ago our Christmas pj´s have arrived. I have ordered them prom PatPat this year and almost couldn´t decide which ones to take (these where also a favorite). Shipping only took about 10 days which is fine cause I have ordered them some weeks upfront. Our model is called the Red Snowflake Family Christmas Pajamas. We sized up one size each cause I wanted them to fit as I can´t return them and also a pajama has to be comfortable.

So since I have such packed days until the middle of December I love to cuddle up in my pj´s at night and watch a cheesey Christmas movie. These are the movies I have watched so far.

The Spirit of Christmas //
A lawyer travels to Vermont to broker the sale of an inn and learns that
it is haunted by a man who cannot move on until the mystery of his
death is solved. Determined to help the charming spirit, she finds
herself in an unlikely romance with him.

A Christmas Wish // A woman and her children are left homeless when her husband leaves
with all their money. She gets a job as a waitress in a small town
diner and discovers the kind locals are on hand to help her through the
difficult times.

A Dogwalkers Christmas Tale // A spoiled college student walks a developer’s dog and is delighted
when she sees he plans to build a salon over a nearby dog park. When
she meets a handsome dog walker at the park, she tries to put aside her
selfish ways to help him save the park.

Christmas with the Kranks //
Finally alone for the holidays, Luther and Nora Krank plan to eschew the Christmas traditions and take a
cruise in the Caribbean instead. This doesn’t sit well with their
Christmas-obsessed neighbors Vic Frohmeyer (Dan Aykroyd) and Walt Scheel
(M. Emmet Walsh), who are determined to win the
annual “best decorated street” competition, and the Kranks soon find
themselves social outcasts because of their lack of Christmas spirit.

A Christmas Prince //
Christmas comes early for an aspiring young journalist when she’s
sent abroad to get the scoop on a dashing prince who’s poised to be king.

A Christmas Prince – The Royal Wedding //
A year after Amber helped Richard secure the crown, the two are
set to tie the knot in a royal Christmas wedding – but their plans are
jeopardized when Amber finds herself second-guessing whether or not
she’s cut out to be queen.

Merry Kissmas //
After her relationship from a controlling choreographer, a young
woman happens to fall for a handsome man, Sebastian, with whom she
shares a kiss. When the choreographer begins to make nice, she is torn
between which man she really loves.

Christmas with a View //
A ski resort is buzzing when a celebrity chef is named the new
head chef. Clara isn’t excited about her new boss, but with their paths
constantly crossing, Clara realises that they have more in common than
they first thought.

The Holiday Calendar //
A photographer inherits an antique Advent calendar that seems to predict her future — including a budding romance.

Christmas Inheritance // Before ambitious heiress Ellen Langford can inherit her father’s
business, she must deliver a special Christmas card to her dad’s former
partner in Snow Falls. When a snowstorm strands her at the town inn, she
discovers the true gift of Christmas.

A Wish for Christmas // Sara prefers to be on the sidelines at work until someone steals
her big idea for a Christmas initiative. She makes a wish to Santa to
gain the courage to stand up for herself, and he gives her 48 hours to
discover how to speak her own mind.

Christmas Wedding Planner //
A wedding planner is in the midst of planning her cousin’s lavish
and exclusive wedding when a devilishly handsome private investigator
turns her world upside down.

The Princess Switch //
One week before Christmas, a duchess switches places with an
ordinary woman from Chicago, who looks exactly like her, and they each
fall in love with each other’s beaus.

You can´t fight Christmas //
Edmund is all business and dislikes the Christmas season until a
cheerful decorator helps him fall in love with the holiday, and her.

Miss me this Christmas //
Regina and Franklin decide to divorce at Thanksgiving. As
Christmas approaches, Regina stays in the same hotel where they got
married. She starts a whirlwind romance with Ulysses as she tries to
rationalize that her marriage may be over.

The Christmas Chronicles //
Siblings Kate and Teddy Pierce hatch a scheme to capture Santa
Claus on Christmas Eve. When the plan goes awry, the kids join forces
with a somewhat jolly Saint Nick and his loyal elves to save the holiday
before it’s too late.

Oh boy – these are a lot. Didn´t know about the total number but here it is. I have watched 16 Christmas movies in four weeks. That´s still okay ? I mean it isn´t too obsessive, right ?!

Anyways my absolute favorites are Christmas with the Kranks, Christmas Inheritance, The Spirit of Christmas, A Christmas Prince and part 2 and the Holiday Calendar.

But overall they are all super festive movies with lots of Christmas spirit, decor and snow and totally get you in the right mood for the season. Although some of them are really cheesy and (as Florian says) totally predictable I love watching these at this time time of the year.

I would love to hear about your favorites and maybe you have seen I few I didn´t.

Thanks for stopping by. Take care. See you.

10 Days of Christmas Giveaways – Day 3 – Our Christmas Decoration – closed…

….

Hello guys,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links und Markennennung-not sponsored)

and happy Monday. I know I know Monday´s aren´t usually our favorite days but I have a little something to sweeten up your day.

And I might say this every year but our Christmas decor has never been prettier than this year. I have tried some different things and also decorated a few more areas than last year and in my opinion it turned out even more beautiful than I thought. I am going to break it down room by room so it will be easier to follow.

Family room:
Of course our family room is the most used place in the whole house so this is where most of the magic happens. I do have a different color theme every year and usually I am not straying far aside from the classics but I have gone wild this year and went with a totally fashionable Christmas tree in pink and black. Yes you hear that right but if you are a regular reader you already read my Christmas tree decoration post last week and are no further surprised.

Anther corner in our family room I enjoy decorating is our coffee table / tv area. We do have quite the space to put lots of decor so why not use it for the most wonderful time of the year. I went with the lighter pink version of the ornaments and created a little winter wood theme. With lots of different trees and deers. The gingham table runner is one of my favorites for this year since it has my most favorite pattern but also includes a Christmas embroidery on both sides. I also always keep our  advent wreath with the candles on our coffee table. Evey Sunday starting the 2nd of December there is going to be lit one candle and after the 4th Christmas is here.

Kitchen:
I haven´t had this much decor in our kitchen the years before. I always decorated the windowsill with lots of Christmas decor and candles but that was pretty it. This year I added christmassy kitchen towels and a bunch of poinsettias to my kitchen. I also reused the branches with berries and the red ribbons from two years ago for our bar stools. Absolutely love how our kitchen turned out and since most of our kitchen appliances are red I went with the classic Christmas Red pieces all over.

Entryway:
The entryway wasn´t such a welcoming space when we moved in but after some time and a lot of furniture changes it became really welcoming so since all of our guests will at first be in the entryway I decided to create a warm and welcoming space and what better could be for it than a candle. A candle, not only with its enjoyable light, but also with its smell is the perfect addition to any entryway. You can choose the scent you like your house to smell and even when you are not lighting it, it is a pretty piece of decoration. I personally love Yankee Candles. They are my favorite and they have the best scents for Christmastime. So for today´s giveaway I am giving away one large jar from Yankee Candle in the scent Holiday Sage. This is my favorite holiday scent ever and I hope it is going to be yours too very soon.

Another great addition to your entryway (if you are living in a house) is a handrail wrapped with garlands. I got mine about three weeks ago and his was probably the most work on decorating. I incorporated string lights and little ornaments and also got single red glass elements to add to the garlands.

I was thinking about decorating our bedroom too but ended up ditching that idea since we are only up there for sleeping and it wouldn´t be worth the work and the money either.

Have you already decorated your home for Christmas? I would love to hear more about it and be sure to enter my giveaway below. It is open until the 10th of December.

10 Days of Christmas Giveaways – Day 2 – Glam Christmas – closed…

leopard print dress (view original post here) / black patent pumps H&M / earrings H&M sold out similar here and here

….
Hi guys,
(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)
do you know what else I love about Christmas time. Not only the holiday spirit, the kindness and joyfullness, the hustle and bustle of getting presents and the many get togethers with people you might not see to often. I love to get dolled up. A little glam never hurt nobody and Christmas truly is the time to exaggerate with glitter and sequins and everything pretty.

Since I am not an obsessive jewelry person. I do have some statement necklaces I wear every now and then and I mostly only wear my engagement ring and my wedding band on my hands. But I am a sucker for earrings. I never forget to wear a pair of earrings or skip a day. I probably have evey size and shape and from plain to glitter and sequins all over. There is nothing better to dress up a sweater or button down than wearing a pair of statement earrings.

So for this reason I am giving away one pair of gorgeous embellished tassel earrings in black. I have seen them online at H&M a few weeks ago and absolutely adored them. They aren´t as heavy as they look and they will go with so many pieces throughout the holiday season. Also make a great pair of statement earrings for NYE.
Be sure to enter the giveaway below for a chance to win. It will be open until the 9th of December.

How I decorated our Christmas tree + tips for a versatile decor…

….

Hello my Christmas loving friends,
(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)
my tree has been up for about two weeks now (usually I didn´t want to set it up before the last week of November but I just can´help it) and I am loving it more every second I look at it.

We went a little aside from traditional this year and got a fashionable tree including pink, blush and black ornaments. To be honest I had most of the ornametns for years now and didn´t like them against the backdrop of a complete green tree cause the black got really lost but now we have a flocked white tree which make it stand right out and look so beautiful.

Since I love to decorate with different ornaments and also got a whole bunch of different ones I am breaking it down below for you.

Classic ornaments:
The pink, blush and black ornaments are our classic shaped ornaments on the tree. I got them in a medium and large size to mix and match as I like. I like different size ornaments a lot, also matte and glossy are great to get add texture and deepth to your tree.

Funny ornaments:
I consider a dougnut or a pink flamingo with a hat as a funny ornament. They really make the tree look special. We also had some funny ornaments last year like a soccer ball, some owls and a pair of silver high heels.

Monogrammed ornaments:
I actually stumbled across these as I was on the search for some pink ornaments and immediately loved them. Who wouldn´t want to have a monogrammed ornament on his tree. Never seen them in one of my favorite store before but so pretty. I also love the retro font of the letter and the bow on top of it. Got them from Nanu Nana (only in stores).

Garlands:
I decided to to with a black garland rather than a pink one because first of all I could´t find the matching shade and second of all I didn´t wanted to create a pink overload so I went with this dark grey/black metallic shimmery garland. I cut it into short pieces to drape it around several branches. In my opinion I think it turned out very nice and is another way to decorate your tree.
Ribbons:
I didn´t do any ribbons this year. First of all I couldn´t find any I liked or matched the color theme and second of all I was pretty satisfied with my metallic shining garland. But I had silver ribbons on last years tree and no garlands so I guess the fun lies in the difference (view the post here).

Overal I think unusual and various ornaments are the key to set oneself apart from other trees. It doesn´t matter if you have a color theme or just decorate with ornaments you got over the years or all the favorites you found in a store. In the end it only counts if you love your tree and it makes your home feel cozy and festive.

Do you have a color theme to decorate with or do you mix and match as you like?
I would love to know.

Thanks for stopping by. Take care. See you.
