Sinister Halloween table scape….

….

Good morning friends,
(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung – Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)
can you tell me what happened over night? Why it is freezing in the morning? As much as I love fall I am not ready for frozen car windows and super cold leather seats. I broke out my winter coat today cause it only had 1 degrees outside. Anyways let´s get to today´s post.

Are there any other holiday loving, Christmas awaiting folks over here ??

I love the holidays. Love. Love. Love. I don´t know why – maybe because of the festive mood or the family get togethers or the delicioius food or maybe everything together – I just love it. Starting with the beginning of fall there are lots of holidays coming like Halloween, Thanksgiving and of course Christmas.

So let´t start with the first one – Halloween. Usually we are at home for Halloween, watch some scary movies and hand out candy to all the trick-or-treaters on our street but last year we headed to the Europapark in Rust, Germany for their Halloween decorated theme park and their parades. It was magical and mystical all in one. Have a look at the hotel here.

So since we are sticking with our old schedule this year we are having a Halloween dinner date at home including some scary decoration and sinister foods.

I am sharing my Halloween table scape today to give you some inspiration for the most horrifying day of the year.
I got this blood drenched table runner from Galeria Kaufhof, a store I personally love. They have all kinds of place mats, kitchen towels, aprons and cotton napkins. I added a chandelier with black candles to the table cause I think this will always fit just change the color of the candles and put on some spider webs.

The black lanterns are from Ikea and I filled them up with straw I had left from our bridesmaid boxes. Always good to keep stuff like that cause you never know when you will need it again.

The grave stone placards are from amazon. Be sure to have a look since they do have lots of interesting stuff like crows and bones and spiderwebs.

All the other things are pretty random and easy to get year round like the black cotton napkins, the napkin rings and the place mats.

The punch I made is from Martha Stewart and I also made some hummus to serve with crackers and got some Italian antipasti  as an entrée. The main course included a steak cause I couldn´t think of a better halloween food than a bloody piece of meat on my plate.

Are you planing on celebrating a dinner date/party at home or are you going out. I love staying in and scaring the neighbours children.

2 patriotic looks for the 4th of July – dressy casual and sporty chic…

….
Hi guys,
(post contains affiliate links / Werbung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links)
I
am sharing two great 4th of July inspired looks with you today. The
color combination red, blue and white always gets me and I also love to
wear it throughout the year. So for this years holiday look I have
styled two outfits depending on where you are headed to celebrate such an
important day in history.

Be sure to check back for an awesome U.S. themed cake on Wednesday. I am sure you have all the ingredients at home.

First of all I love a white button down. It is chic on one side and can be dressed up in so many ways and on the other hand it is a total staple item to my closet and if I am in need of a quick look I put on a button down / pair of jeans combo and leave the house. But that doesn´t mean that you look isn´t changeable. I added a pair of red espandrilles and a red headband to the look. Also lipstick totally matched the red hues of my outift. The bag is from Tommy Hilfiger and a sale find from years ago but totally matches the red, white and blue stars theme. I would categorize this look as dressy casual since it is not to much to still wear to a casual ocassion but a button down is a lot more dressier than a t-shirt.

I would say this look is sportive chic not only sporty. And how gorgeous is the stars & stripes pullover I ordered from Asos. The brand is called Pull & Bear and a total match for the theme, also it is super soft insid so you won´t freeze if the night gets chilly. I have worn it the whole weekend here. Hasn´t been that warm.
Of course I wanted to go on with the same color theme for my second look. The blue dress I am wearing is about 4 years old but you can get a blue shirt dress almost everyhwere. Also my handbag is still available. Oldie but goldie. Needless to say more.
Another real American classic is my matching pair of Chuck Taylor sneakers. Totally love them. They work for so many looks and add such a cool and sportive vibe to the look.

Food Friday – carrot cake with white chocolate cream cheese frosting for Easter….

….

Hi guys and happy Friday,
the Easter weekend is finally here and I couldn´t be more excited. Having the whole family over tomorrow. Visiting the other part of the family on Sunday. Maybe we get some rest on Monday.
Hope the weather is getting a little better (currently rain and 8°) to hide some eggs outside.
Since everyone in our family is loving my carott cake (the only exception are my parents) I made kind of an Easter tradition out of it. Not sure if I already wrote about it but it was the first cake I have made Florian when we started dating and he loved it ever since so this is our very own Easter tradition.

So put on your aprons, get your ingredients and let´s bake.

Ingredients batter:
 – 4 eggs
– 200 grams of grounded almonds
– 250 ml rape oil
– 1 tablespoon cinnamon
– 2 tablespoons baking powder
– 250 grams flour
– 250 grams sugar
– 375 grams carrots grated

– mix eggs, sugar, oil and cinnamon together
– mix in the carrots and the almonds
– mix in the flour and the baking powder
– put the batter into a buttered round pan
– bake for 40 minutes at 180 degrees

Ingredients frosting:
– 250 grams white chocolate melted and cooled
– 2 tablespoons lemon juice
– 320 grams butter soft
– confectioners sugar sifted
– 450 grams cream cheese in room temperature

– mix everthing together and let it cool again for about ten minutes until you put it onto your COLD cake
– spread evenly

Decor:
– 12 marzipan carotts

You could also decorate with colorful candy eggs but I choose these little marzipan carrots to top the cake with.

Are you going to make something on your own for Easter ?

Thanks for stopping by. Take care. See you.

How to – candy Easter baskets for your brunch guests…

for table scape details have a look at this post / chocolate bunnies Lindt amazon / chocolate eggs Lindt amazon / Jelly Beans Lemon amazon / Easter grass amazon

….

Hi guys,
(post contains affiliate links / Werbung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links)
the Easter fun continues today. After sharing the perfect dress for brunch here and our table scape in the 2018 color of the year here I am back for a cute DIY for joyful guests.

After setting up the tables I was thinking about what about a little something for everyone who is guest at our annual brunch ? Why not right. What is my first source for finding some inspo – right Pinterest.

Guys you have to get on there if you are searching some ideas for Easter whether it is about decoration, Easter baskets or brunch ideas.

I didn´t found the exact idea on Pinterest, in fact it was a recipe for an Easter treat which looked identical so I came to my idea.

I got these little baskets at Nanu Nana. They where 95 cents each. Filled them up with grass or hay and put green Jelly Beans on top of it to rebuild the grass in tasty treats.

The next step was to add chocolate in form of Easter bunnies. There wouldn´t be Easter without chocolate. I love Lindt chocolate. It is a bit on the pricey side but I think it is absolutely worth every penny.

And voila. They are super cute and also tasty and to much so you couldn´t eat them after brunch or just keep them during the Easter time.
Do you like them? Did you make any treats for your brunch guests or just made baskets for the little ones?
Thanks for stopping by. Take care. See you.
Be sure to check back for my favorite cake recipe tomorrow.
