since I am on the home straight in terms of furnishing our house (this time I really am) I am totally in decoration and getting everything set and ready for the Easter holidays since family is visiting. 

All I need to get ready is our entrance (just need to add doors to the new shoe closet), our living room (hang the curtains, get some unreal but pretty flowers and some candles) our powder room (hang the lamp) and our guest room (find and buy a little poof or a little bench and buy some candles). 
This might seem a lot to go but it is not. There has been much more to do a few months ago but since I am constantly working on the house we are almost through.
Anyways I am in full decoration mode now and also might want to switch some of the older pieces (Florian is not happy cause he thinks I am starting all over again – so not true, just refining). So I am sharing what is currently in my cart, what I bought and what I am really craving but just haven´t hit the shop button yet.

What I already ordered:
– I got the six piece pillow set for our living room and I love it. I think it is a great price point and there are so many different color options to choose from.
– The black rug found its place in our corridor upstairs. I absolutely adore the pattern and I also have another two of them in the gray style in our living room.
– Isn´t this table runner with the bold blue colors just the cutest with all the little doors? I got this one for our dining room table since I am redecorating a little after the long hard winter. I just had a feeling I needed some new stuff especially since it is Spring now.
– Another piece I already got is the mirrored tray. I ordered it in silver and I absolutely love it. Don´t have any piece like this at home. This is awesome for decorating but will also be great for flat lay beauty picutres.
– Last piece or pieces I ordered are the black basket metal side tables but they are on back order. Hopefully they wil get here soon. I am going to divide them and use them in too different places. First place will be the living room and second place will be under the stairs since there is lots of light and room for a plant. 

What´s still in my cart:
 – I need some more silver decoration pieces so I am definitely going to order the pineapple when I have enough stuff together for my next H&M order.
– Also the creme bench is in my cart. I need this one for the guest room but there is still some time to go and I don´t want to stand it around and block everything. Only thing I am thinking about is if I buy it in the nude or in the red color.

there hasn´t been a material or pattern I haven´t seen on more home decor posts or inspiration bords than marble. 

Whether its coffee tables, mugs, pouches, phone or laptop cases, kitchen counters and so on….

I do love it too. I love using it as a background for flatlays and I recently got three different marble inspired phone covers. I am also looking for a marble console table at the moment (any guesses??).


It is something about the pattern and the color pairings which makes the material so noble and immidiately upgrades anything you pair it with or put it onto.

Whether if you are investing in a real marble piece or just getting some kind of dupe with just a print on it you are for sure having a trendy piece at your home. And I am really sure this trend doesn´t go anywhere but up the next months and probably years.

Food Friday – healthy chicken noodle soup….

since the weather is so steady bad – lots of snow and ice and low temperatures – and lots of people around us are ill or/and caught the flu I am sharing one of my grandma´s recipes today. I always loved heading to my grandma´s house in the Winter time or flu season and enjoy a delicious bowl of hot soup. 
A healthy chicken noodle soup. This kind of soup is supposed to keep you healthy or to help you get on your feet again.

And summarized it also tastes so good and is not difficult in the making. It cooks on its own.

Here is what you need:

– chicken thighs
– a carrot
– one leek
– one piece of celery
– few leaves of lovage
– salt / pepper / vegetable broth
– soup noodles 
–  chives cut – can also be frozen since they are only to garnish
 – pair two litres of water (or if you want more broth you take more, the importance is that the chicken thighs have to be covered) with the needed amout of broth
– cut the vegetables in small pieces and put them in the pot with the water
– now wash the chicken thighs and put them in the pot as well (make sure they are covered with broth)
– let it cook for about 45 to 50 minutes on medium heat – needs to cook all the time
– heat up water in a different pot for the soup noodles about 15 minutes before the chicken is done and cook the noodles till you like them
– take out the chicken thighs and separate the meat from the bones (be careful so you don´t take of a small bone as well with the meat)
– combine everything in a soup bowl
– garnish with chives and enjoy
– you can spice it up with some more salt and pepper if you want

I totally love it and probably gonna make this over and over again.

since I have done lots of table scapes around here I wanted to create something different for Valentine´s day. I decided to go with a pink and rose bar cart in our living room for the special day.
I love the pink, rose and red combo so I put straws in all of those three colors into this sparkling gold jar. Another highlight I added is the tassel garland, they are just so cool and really help decorating for this special day. Adding Valtentine´s day napkins with colorful stripes and lot´s of other pink and red and rose items totally completed the cart. 


And how cute is the little letter box? Really fits onto the cart right?

Decoration had always been a big thing for me. Usually I am not redecorating for every single holiday but I had too, cause since Valentine´s day has one of the most beautiful color palettes I could ask for. 
We are eating at our favorite restaurant on Wednesday so I am really looking forward to that. Hello grilled octopus.
Do you have any fancy plans? I would love to hear about them.
