since travel season is in its fullest and we are also on vacation in two weeks I started to get some of the beauty items together I want to take with me. We are going to travel by car so I am not really limited regarding the space or the number of things I am taking with me but lots of you are travelling by plane so I wanted to structure this unitary for everyone. 
So let´s get over to packing. Since last year I am always taking a hair dryer in travel size with me. We had the worst hair dryers even at great hotels (or none) and I just feel more comfortable using my own. I got the Remington on the go hair dryer.

 Another small zipper bag I am taking with me is this one from Douglas. It fits the theme really nice as it says “time to travel”. I am storing all the small stuff we are taking with us like medicine, my dietary supplement, cleaning wipes for glasses, scissors and tweezers etc. 


One more product I found for all the bigger bottles which don´t fit into another case is this one from amazon. It looks like the case of a sleeping bag from the outside but it really fits a lot.

Now we are heading over to the beauty department. I always purchase the products we are using in a travel size. First of all they are not as big and as heavy as the originals and they are super cute. It depends on where you are heading but make sure to take sun-protection with you. This is very important for your skin, you won´t get a sunburn in your vacation. This would be too bad.
When I am on vacation I a not using eyeshadow on a regular base so I am just taking a small palette with some nude shades like the L´oréal Paris The Nudes with me. Speaking of applying eyeshadow, the brushes I need are stored in this beautiful pink brush case.  
For removing my make-up I am taking the Tea Tree Make-up Remover Wipes from The Body Shop with me. They leave your face super clean and with a nice and fresh feeling. Also I am adjusting my face lotion to the climate whether is a dry air or the humidity is very high. To avoid breakouts caused by bacterias I am bringing my own face towels with me cause you never know what products they use for washing.

today I can finally show you our bedroom. I had planned this for months but it just didn´t happen to get to an end. Whether I didn´t have the time or I didn´t find the right pieces to decorate/furnish. This took the most time cause I had significant pieces on my mind I wanted so I first had to find them. 

The room doesn´t have a strict color theme but I went with creme/white/orange. These three fit nicely together and you can easily combine it with a fourth or fifth color. 

 The main piece you are focusing when you go into the room might be the colorful rug. It is a new one but from a vintage brand (they make new rugs appear older) and I couldn´t be happier with it. It has different color sprinkles all over which made it easy to decorate the rest on the room.

For the walls (and there weren´t so much left cause there are a few of our closets) I went with a gallery wall with picutres of us (from vacations or parties), a huge black and white print from the old New York and a mirror. 

 The bed is huge (for me). It is 1,8 x 2,2 meters. When I am alone at night I always have Chloe in the bed with me so I am feeling less lost. But although it is really pretty. It reminds me of a bed which could be found in a cabin or a blockhouse.

4 Tips on how to get better and glowing skin…

Hi dolls,
today I am talking about my personal 4 tips for better skin. I never had super fine skin without any pores or without any breakouts whether now or back in my teenager years but I found some things which work for me and which I am constantly practicing or using.
In my opinion this is all about trial and error. You have to test different things until you find something that is working for yourself. There are millions of products and advices out there but everyone is different and so is everyone´s skin type.
So here are the four things I am constantly using/practicing for better skin that is glowing from the inside out (off course it is no shame to use blush and highlighters at all).
Heute habe ich 4 Tipps für euch für bessere Haut, die für mich persönlich gut funktionieren. Ich hatte nie super einheitliche Haut ohne Poren oder ohne Pickel. Egal ob jetzt oder zurück als Teenager, aber mittlerweile weiß ich mir selbst zu helfen. Meiner Meinung nach geht läuft das hier nur über Erfolg und Misserfolg. Ihr müsst unterschiedliche Sachen ausprobieren und schauen was für euch selbst am besten funktioniert. Es gibt hunderte von Produkten oder Artikeln mit Ratschlägen, aber jeder Hauttyp ist verschieden und nicht alle Produkte oder Ratschläge helfen jedem gleich gut oder überhaupt.
Hier habe ich heute 4 Dinge für euch die ich ständig nehme/praktiziere um bessere Haut zu bekommen und zu behalten und um diesem gesunden Glow hinzukiregen (natürlich ist es auch keine Schande mit etwas Rouge oder Highlighter nachzuhelfen).

#1 Biotin
You might have seen in an earlier post that I recommend to take a daily dose of biotin for your skin/hair/nails. I am still doing this (changed the brand cause I wanted a higher dose) with a mix of other vitamins and  additives.

#2 Cutting out dairy products
I have to admit this was one of the hardest thing for me to cut out milk. And it isn´t just milk, it is cheese and yoghurt and all kinds of foods. But now I am taking soy milk for my coffee and my cereals (wasn´t hard for me at all because I like the taste) and I only eat cheese when we at a restaurant. I must admit it works for me. After I read an article about this I thought “why not give it a try” at least I had nothing to loose and I figured after a few weeks it did get better indeed. So I am sticking to this.
 Milchprodukte weglassen
Das war bei Weitem das schwierigste – es geht ja nicht nur um Milch alleine, es betrifft Käse und Joghurt und alle möglichen Lebenmittel – normale Milch mit Sojamilch zu ersetzen. Aber mittlerweile habe ich mich daran gewöhnt. Ich nehme Sojamilch für meinen Kaffee und mein Müsli – Gott sei Dank mag ich den Geschmack – und ich muss sagen ich kann eine Besserung erkennen. Ich hab das zuerst in einem Artikel in einem Magazin gelesen und dachte “Was kann schon schief gehen?” und zu verlieren war ja nichts. Dabei werde ich auch solange wie möglich bleiben. 


#3 Lemon flavored water
For some extra Vitamin C I add some lemon juice (you can buy that concetrated at every grocery store) to my water. Not only that it upgrades the taste it helps your skin glow from the inside out.
Zitronensaft für mehr Vitamin C
Für etwas mehr Vitamin C gebe ich einen Schuss Zitronensaft in mein Wasser (ein Schuss reicht wirklich aus, weil das sonst ziemlich sauer ist). Zitronensaft kaufe ich bei uns als Kontentrat in der Drogerie gibts aber auch im Supermarkt. Es macht nicht nur ein erfrischendes Getränk aus Wasser es gibt einem auch einen schönen Glow und eine gesunde Gesichtfarbe von innen nach außen

#4 Change your make-up sponges and cushion cover regularly
This is probably one of the most important things because by using these products longer than max. 2 weeks they start to get bacteries and if you get those onto your skin they can cause massive breakouts. So it is easy pretty to prevent this. 
Make-Up Schwämme und Kissenbezüge austauschen
Das ist womöglich wirklich eines der wichtigsten Dinge die man leicht mal vergessen kann. Bakterien sammeln sich in den benutzten Make-up Schämmen oder Kissenbezügen, die auf die Haut geraten und Entzündungen hervorrufen. Also am besten jede Woche oder alle zwei Wochen mal austauschen. 

 And of course there would be a few other things like drinking enough water throughout the day, eating healthy, doing a clearing face mask twice a week and always remove your make-up before going to bed……
 Und natürlich gibt es da noch zusätzliche Dinge wie viel Wasser trinken in Laufe des Tages, gesund essen, klärende Gesichtsmasken mindestens zweimal die Woche anweden und immer abschminken vor dem zu Bett gehen……

How To avoid dry skin during the winter….

Hi guys,
since
the days are getting shorter and the temperatures are dropping we are
heading straight into winter. And for those couple months our skin needs
some extra care. Our skin is working really hard to stay hydrated but
with the cold and dry air outside and the warm and dry air inside most
of us need a little support. 
I am using a body scrub once a week or this exfoliating glove with a shower gel.
Here are some of my favorites I had already tried the last weeks and I won´t stop using them until Sommer is here again.

For
me the best I could found it the Neutrogena series. I have been using
their hand Lotion for years now and I recently found out that they have a
foot lotion and of course a body lotion.

I
am already convinced from their hand lotions so lets go on with the
other products – the deep moisture all in body lotion is incredible
good. The smell is really light and so fresh and it gets really quickly
into your skin so if you apply it in the morning after showering you are
able to dress up fast and you won´t get stuck in your pants and it also
doesn´t leave that sticky feeling on your skin like other oily lotions.

The foot lotion is really great too.
I
do have very dry feet in the winter months. I think this comes from
wearing socks and tights all the time and also your feet – or just mine
aren´t able to breath that much in boots like in sandals so they just
dry out. I do not like the smell of the foot lotion but I am keeping it
and still using it because it really helps a lot.

die Tage kürzer und werden und die Temperaturen fallen wissen wir
definitiv das es Winter ist und genau für diese paar Monate brauchen wir
spezielle Pflege für unsere Haut. Diese hat schwer zu schaffen um
unsere Haut mit Feuchtigkeit zu versorgen mit vor allem mit der kalten
Luft draußen und der warmen trockenen Luft innen. Dabei muss etwas
nachgeholfen werden.

Einmal
pro Woche mache ich ein Bodypeeling mit einem dieser Loofahandschuhe
und einem Duschgel. Danach kann die Haut die Lotion besonders gut
aufnehmen. Die beste Lotion für den Winter ist für mich die Bodylotion
aus der Neutrogena Serie. Ich benutze die Handlotion schon seit Jahren
und vor ein paar Monaten habe ich herausgefunden, dass es ebenfalls eine
Fußcreme gibt. Und natürlich die Bodylotion.

Da
ich ja bereits sehr überzeugt bin von der Handcreme (die einzige die
Florian benutzt) rede  ich mal über die anderen zwei Produkte.
Die
Bodylotion kommt in einem Pumpspender was ich sehr praktisch finde und
ist einfach super. Sie zieht sehr schnell ein – oder meine Haut ist
einfach wahnsinnig trocken – außerdem hat sie einen angenehmen dezenten
Geruch und was für mich am wichtigsten ist – sie klebt nicht.

Die
Fußcreme ist auch super gut. Ich habe furchtbar trockene Füße in den
Wintermonaten. Ich denke das kommt von den Socken und Strumpfhosen die
man den ganzen Winter über an hat. Wahrscheinlich bekommen sie in den
Stiefeln einfach nicht so viel Luft wie in Sandalen und trocknen
deswegen schneller aus. Der einzige Kritikpunkt ist das ich den Geruch
sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig finde, da ich sie aber vor dem Schlafengehen
benutze und ich den Geruch da nicht so mitbekomme habe ich sie trotzdem
behalten, da meine Füße davon einfach wieder weich werden.
