Casual Saturday #4….

We are preparing for mothers day over here so I don´t know where to start cause in fact we didn´t do anything else important.The week was short for both of us. Florian only worked until Tuesday and I did until Thursday. We had several appointments so it was easier to take days off. 
I had line dance on Monday and on Tuesday so nothing else happened there. On Wednesday we where invited to Florian´s cousins birthday party. Thank god it was a warm day and still warm in the evening cause you can´t attend an outside party with bad weather. I got a Coastal Scents Go Cairo palette and a flower bouquet as a present. You can never go wrong with flowers and I knew that she liked make-up and I got her this L´oréal eyeshadow palette in nude beige. The nude shades are a staple for every girls make-up drawer. 

The yearly fun fair started yesterday and I wanted to go so bad because I need to get updated and restocked on new spices. They have a little wooden store where they sell the best spices I have found so far. The problem is that they attend only two times a year so I have to know upfront what I need. 
 I ended up buying a lot. 
 House:
We set up our patio furniture last weekend and I love how it turned out (plannig a separate post about it soon). We got lots of fresh and colorful flowers. Now Summer can finally come. Now the only thing I am still looking are deckchairs. I already have a small table from Polywood. A red one, so I am not quite sure if I take two red or two grey deckchairs.


Food:
I only tried out two new recipes. I was curious about the egg roll in a bowl recipe I have seen so many times all over social media. So I had to try out this one cause who doesn´t love egg rolls.

The second one are baked burritos. I have read about it some time ago and with all the Cinquo de Mayo posts it came back in mind. You fill your burritos with all the ingredients you want to have in them and then you put them into a baking dish. Sprinkle some grated cheese on top (you can also use cheddar but I wanted gouda cheese) and put it into the oven for about 30 minutes (or just how you like it – I want a real crispy cheese crust). Really simple and so so delicious.


Shopping:
I have been eyeing with a few things but I am still not quite sure about it. It would be this bag. I love it but who needs a black one in Summer. 
Another thing I have been thinking about is this pair of studded heels. I already have the baby blue one and I like wearing them so much.

So here is what I ordered this week. A bikini with a palm tree print and I am so looking forward to this. It is the ultimate Summer pattern for me (sorry flamingos) and a beach blanket for our Summer vacation. It is a round one so I am pretty excited how it turns out.
Also two off-the-shoulder dresses, an orange one with short sleeves and a gingham one with long sleeves. 

TV: 
There wasn´t really anything this week I was interested in. I have seen that Game of Thrones is going to be continued in July so there´s this. I have watched Peter Pan (the Disney movie) and I still love it. It is my favorite Disney movie back when I was a child and until now.

Stay fresh – dry shampoo review….

Toni & Guy Instant Refresh Day 2 Freshness dry shampoo
This is the last one I got just because I was curious. I am using lots of their prodcuts for my hair so I wanted to test a dry shampoo too and I love it. That´s why I  mention it as first product in my post. The smell is so so good. It is so fresh and a little perfumed but in an enjoyable way. It works instant and doesn´t make your hair look dry or dull. It costs about 10 Euro and it is worth every cent.

Batiste Hint of Color dry shampoo
This might be the most hyped dry shampoo I know. I have been using this for a long time and it is always the one I purchase when another one is empty cause you can get it quick at every drug store. There are lots of different ones so this is also the brand with the biggest variety on dry shampoo (correct me if I am wrong). I love to use a dry shampoo for blonde hair (maybe it is just me or the yellow powder) but I always think it make my hair appear a little blonder. 
The other one I purchased (cause I loved the packaging) was the cherry one but it is almost too sweet for me. I am not such a fan of sweet perfumes either but it is okay. If I just use it for volume I don´t need as much. 
Both are perfect if you are looking for a low price alternative to other brands with pricier dry shampoos. They work well and are only about 3 Euros so in fact you can´t loose.

Aussie Miracle dry shampoo – Aussome Volume
I tried this one cause I needed a small size for travelling and this was the only one I found at our drug store (travel season is hard, the small products are gone quick). I have heard a lot about the brand before but never used any of their products. I like this dry shampoo cause you don´t need a ton of it to make it work. It also absorbs quickly and the price point is great (under 10 Euro) and it also works great if you just need a quick volume boost. The only thing which could be a little disturbing is the smell. Don´t get me wrong be smell is good in small doses but if you need a little more it really is overwhelming and just too much (like you won´t need any perfume for this day too much).

Lee Stafford Original dry shampoo
This was probably one of my first dry shampoos I have ever used. I did not buy it because of any review just because it was pink. Yeah I am a pink girl. Not denying it. 
I also used the other one of this line for dark roots. This was indeed a dark brown dry shampoo mist. Strange feeling using it the first time but it takes away all of the oil from your roots and it isn´t sticky or dry at all. It helps to give you another full day of volume and fresh hair. I would recommend this all the time to everyone. Still one of my favorites.

COLAB Active Dry shampoo
This is literally a thing I have never seen. It is an invisible dry shampoo so you don´t have the white/grey mist at your hair. This is really a dry shampoo for on the go. You can easily use it everywhere cause you don´t need a brush or a towel to get rid of the rest of the produt. And it also has UV-Protection which I have never seen at a dry shampoo before. For the price point and the abilities this might be the best one. It is under 5 Euro and that is unbeatable.

sometimes the days are passing by so quick with so much to do that there isn´t any time left for extra things. We are heading from one appointment to another to get everything done and if you are a little like me you are already late before stepping outside the house so it is nice to know that even if you don´t got time to wash your hair (although I really hate wet hair but I am regularly washing my hair twice a week) you can stay clean and fresh. It is no magic – it is dry shampoo. So in this post I rounded up my favorite dry shampoos and one I really don´t like and would never purchase / use again. 

Update: Also a really great site has reached out to me to share their dry shampoo review with my readers. In fact they are testing a lot of different products on their site so this is just one of many topics. The review is really detailed and includes much more facts. Beauty and Make-up products – the latest….

I am always curious for new beauty products or trying out existant brands I haven´t used before.
So these are some I had tried out lately. I wanted to write about them in my monthly favorites post but this would have been way to much and the post would have been way to long.

You all know how much I love lipsticks and of course I had to try out these ones from Manhattan as they came out – the moisture renew lipstick line. First they had just a few colors but not they offer one for every taste. These are no matte lipsticks they have kind of a glossy finish which I also like from time to time. After getting all the matte products it is nice that you can switch if you like. 
The two colors I have choose are in the pink/berry tones. 
The left one is 900 Crystal Berry and the rigth one is 940 Glam Plum.

Another product I tried out is the L´oréal Paris Skin Perfection face creme. I am always or let me say still on the hunt for the perfect face creme for me. There had been many I tried from AOK to Garnier to Bebe to Neutrogena and the list goes on and on. I have a mixed skin type which means I need mattifying for my nose and chin but at the same time I need lots of hydration cause my skin gets dry very quickly. Not easy. I used this one for about 6 weeks now and I am satisfied with the product. It is a day and night creme in one and for about 12 Euro it is totally fine.

This might be my favorite oil of all time. Let me start from the beginning. I had neurodermatitis when I was a child – really bad in fact – and there are still some dry areas on my body (two on my arms, one on my foot and another one on my neck. From time to time (and I still don´t know the cause for sure) they start to grow and get really really dry and from scratching they become even worse. So I bougth BI-OIL to give it a try. If it can prevent stretch marks in pregnancy maybe it could help my with my skin problems too and it works. It is so so good. It moves into your skin really quick and is not sticky at all. The smell is so good. They offer two sizes. I have the smaller one but I definitely get the bigger bottle when I repurchase it. I hope they never stop producing this product.

These two are just for fun and for the love of pink. And there is a huge love. As I like anything pink and polka dots I had to have those two and I needed a new lash curler anyway. It is from the brand (ebelin) our drug store carries but here are similar ones. The twezzer is from essence (similar here also cute) and it isn´t anything brand new or world changing – I just liked the design and the price point.

I wanted to try this one cause I have been using the egg shaped lipbalm from EOS for years now. It is the sweet mint flavor and it is totally matching with the egg balm but I also like this one. The shape is more praticle for carrying in a small handbag. It isn´t as big as the usual balms.


Blush Berry from the Maybelline Color Show series is my favorite nail polish at the moment. I have also written a whole post about this hues here. I think their polishes are totally fine for 3 Euro. The color is drying really quick and it is high pigmented so you only have to use one layer.

the
long and cold Winter and the dry and warm air from heating up inside
has demanded its tribute to our skin. And maybe of all the bodylotions
and skincare products we might have forgotten some parts of our body to
spoil too. For example the lips. 
They
can also get pretty dry but the difference to other body part is you
can see it no matter what. If you put on lipstick with dry and crapped
lips this looks so neglected – so it would be better to wear none.
Believe me I know.
But to get hydrated and smooth lips I found a few products for you I am using and they really turned out to be great. 
First
of all a lip scrub is a good idea. I got this lip scrub stick from the
Body shop. It works pretty well. I has little particles in the stick
which take away the dead skin cells and leave a soft and smooth feeling
on your lips.  Another good option is this Alverde Sugar Lip Scrub.

For
the days where I am not using the lipscrub I am using a lipbalm in the
morning before putting on my lipstick and in the evening before going to
bed. I had the same brand for years and I will keep them as long as
they are available to buy. They are the The Body Shop Lip Butter and
Born Lippy . Mine are Strawberry and Passion Fruit. I love them. They
are the best for dry lips and help them a lot staying hydrated through
day and night. 
But
there are pretty good alternatives if you don´t have a Body Shop near
you and if you don´t want to order online. These are drug store products
and almost everywhere available – the lipbalm from Burt´s Bees (they also have different scents) and the Labello lipbutter (my favorite is caramel).
I got them in my handbag for daily use or for the case I forgot to apply in the morning which happens quite often.

Diese können auch ziemlich trocken werden und im Vergleich zu anderen Körperteilen kann man das sofort sehen – spätestend dan wenn man Lippenstift aufträgt und lauter kleine Hautfitzel wegstehen. Das ist nicht schön – gar nicht. Glaubt mir ich weiß wovon ich rede.
Aber auch das kann man Beheben. Um wieder schöne weiche und gepflegte Lippen zu bekommen habe ich ein paar meiner liebsten und effizientesten Produkte aufgelistet.
Zuallererst fangen wir dem Lippenpeeling an um die weghängenden Hautschuppen wegzubekommen. Hier habe ich zwei Optionen. Den Lip Scrub Stick vom Body Shop. Er ist wie ein Lipbalm aber mit lauter kleinen Peelingkörnchen. Man trägt Ihn auch direkt auf die Lippen auf. Die andere Alternative ist ein Lipscrub aus der Tube von Alverde. Die groben Partikel dort sind aus Zucker. 
Ich finde beide gut, aber den Stick vom Body Shop mag ich lieber da der so minzig frisch ist.
Danch kommen wir zum pflegenden Aspekt mit einem nährreichen Lip Balm.
Ich habe hier zwei vom Body Shop aufgelistet aber auch zwei die es in der Drogerie zu kaufen gibt. 
Diesen trage ich abends und morgens dick auf meine Lippen auf. Meistens zieht der eh sofort ein sodass es mit dem Lippenstift auch kein Problem gibt. 
Außerdem habe ich immer einen in meiner Handtasche dabei, falls ich mal es mal vergessen sollte, was ziemlich oft geschieht.
